@Herby Ragan.....It actually takes MORE faith to be an atheist......Let's assume life on Earth evolved from the most basic single cell organism that you can possibly imagine.....Even that basic organism had to be fully functional at the moment it first came into being.....Otherwise it would've ceased to exist shortly after.......At a very minimum the organism had to have a fully formed and functioning barrier ( like a cell wall or skin ) to separate the inside of the organism... from the rest of the outside world..... It also had to be able to divide itself into another fully functioning copy of itself or reproduce offspring right away....or it would 've been the first...and last of it's kind.......It also had to be able to convert energy ( like sunlight ) into some kind of usable food source....since EVERY living organism on earth requires some type of power source to move, grow, reproduce, etc......Think about it....even the most basic organism you can possibly imagine had to have at least a few fully functioning systems in order to exist and reproduce itself on day one....... Just consider the POSSIBILITY that this basic organism could've been created by a supreme being (that we can't fully comprehend)...and then go from there...........And yes....I will still pray for you.....Ha ha ha.

Sister Rosetta Tharpe did a great performance of "Didn't It Rain" in the UK in 1964, on the Granada Television Network. She arrived at a small, old-style train station, after a heavy rain storm, with a large crowd of teens and young adults in attendance. The train station served as a stage for the band members that performed for this TV special. The video footage is available for viewing here on RU-vid.

I love love love love her!!! 😍🙌🏻. Thank you for reacting to her music! This is the style of music along with 70s rock & roll that I remember listening to as a wee babe. Music was my only connection to my Daddy for yrs. it was the only way I knew how to communicate with him. It was our glue, our redemption, our mediator, and our comforter for years while we nurtured our broken relationship. This song just reminds me of those early years. So many of the songs you react to remind me of memories of my life. Ha, I'm an older soul than my years even at 49. Thank you for what you do.

As stated in another column, arguably the inventor of Rock & Roll. I think Chuck Berry copped some of her "licks." What a talent and stage presence. Fanny was one of the first all female bands from the early Seventies. The group had 2 sisters who were from the Philippines, a rarity for the times. These artists were also great musicians. These musicians are very important to the history of Rock.

Sister Rosetta Tharpe was very popular during the 1930's for playing gospel and secular music in her unique style. During WW2 she was one of two gospel artists that recorded V-Records for the GI's. Chuck Berry freely admitted to copying her licks and Elvis Presley having his guitarist from Sun Records to study her playing style so he could sound like her.
