Six sigma is used to improve an existing product in a facility, and not like adding a needed accessory to that facility. The point of it is to redesign a product with added improvement and reduced faults. It’s mainly on design for business profit, and that’s why implementing it is so expensive.

I didn't know Six Sigma was all about this. My dad literally has a diploma on Six Sigma: Black Belt. Just hanging next to the entrance door He teaches other people too! Guess, I'll just ask him to teach me all about Six Sigma when I grow old. (I live in the Philippines)

this is the most confusing certificate i have ever seen. I found its certification online on many different web sites at different prices...i read on forums one opinion and people's experience on what price they paid and then get a link to a certification for a price that is 70% lower...is it a scam, or are there some scam web site for it...I really can't figure it out. What is the true cost and what is the correct way of certification.

Hundreds of people attend training course after training course; conducting pointless project after pointless project, was never going to be sustainable. The big deployment made everyone believe that you had to follow a completely prescriptive framework for utilising six sigma methodologies, and every tool in the box had to be used. It made the method look complicated, time-consuming and frankly very irritating and was pointless to may people.

Before you attempt this, give your production workers a raise so they have the incentive to do more work. If not they will be disgruntled.

How about giving the production workers in addition to a raise, decreasing the time involved to finish the job. This can be done by asking the workers directly in addition to having a brain storming session. It gives them the feeling of being in control as opposed to being controlled for every minute detail. People forget the production workers are not robots. They cannot do the job of robots by being consistent 8-12 hours a day. it's not possible.

Six Sigma has ruined my company. Customers hate it. Employees hate it. We're losing market share. It's micromanagement on steroids. It breeds a nasty work environment. New employees leave after less than a year.

Yes. 6 sigma is not realy good as they say. I am expert at 6 sigma and other methodology. In this time 2020 you must use adaptive approach. Let them decide and encourage them. 6 sigam is good for a very narow field of company. Problem solving is most important rather than executing such method. I will start and share videos about this methods very soon.

Sorry. What a load of fluff. It did not explain anything about How 6sig identifies problems... Identifying problems doesn't require any sort of 6sig system or hiring specialists, just observant managers & employees. Seems like a lot of just stating the obvious using Dilbertesque biz jargon.

I learned all I need to know by the 40 second mark. ***Increase profits*** That is why my employer as well as Toyota Motor adopted it. In both cases the founder is now dead, so the CEO, CFO and various department heads can throw away the dictionary and define the word "ethics" themselves. I'm sure there is room for 1 or 2 or 3 more on the show "American Greed." BTW, the "golden parachute" is a term for rewarding a $#!%bird leader who deserved to be S#!%canned!
