Congratulations from Ireland fellas, we Irish are delighted we beat you but you went on to win the entire thing. South Africa deserve it, all of Africa deserve it. Sport can unite people together, giving children belief that they can achieve anything with hard work and insane discipline. If a Rugby team can unite to reach the top, imagine what the government could do if they worked together. This is what sport does to nations, makes better human being and always respect your opponent.
You definitely did beat my beloved Boks. You guys have a quality side and were unlucky to have faces the ABs in the QF just like France were unlucky to face the Boks. France & Ireland are the 2 best northern hemisphere sides. England got a smooth path to the semis. That's the only reason why they made it far.
I am by no means a rugby supporter, I never watch it. BUT I couldn't not watch these past few games as the excitement built up here in South Africa. Siya summed it up so beautifully when he said our country goes through a lot, but when it matters, the people unite and stick together. And even for me, as a non-rugby fan, I can get behind that. Because I'm proud of where I'm from, and I love the people. Siya is without a doubt one of the most amazing people, and an excellent choice for captain. He is humble, gracious, passionate, proud of his roots, inspiring and supportive. I honestly think we witnessed one of the greatest teams ever - from leadership doen to the last player. I love their chemistry, I love their friendship. I love how humble they are, and how they do it for the love of the country. I think, more than anything else, THAT is what makes them special. It's what makes us as a country special. I almost feel like they could feel the energy radiating from the fans all the way over there, so electric was it. South Africans have heart, and passion, and humour. We are proud of where we come from, even with all of its problems. And it always shines through 🇿🇦
Beautiful said. Siya is indeed a fantastic leader. The entire WC was an inspiration for all of us, the way our team exposed themselves on and off the field!
Thanks. You said what so many of us feel but cannot put into words. We have a team that really represents and channels the soul of our country and all of its history
We are 4 times World Rugby Champions but have to say respect, salute to All Blacks New Zealand 🇳🇿. For Mr Caine feel sorry for you. New Zealand ers please give your team hero welcome, from South Africa 🇿🇦 Joburg South
Congrats SA on your well earned victory today, a historic 4th title after winning back to back WC. Huge respect to SA from a Wales supporter. Also IMO after today there is no question Siya Kolisi is the finest captain in the history of rugby union. When was appointed captain in early 2018 the BOKKE were arguably at the lowest point in their history and now they are arguably at the highest point in their history. He's also an absolute class individual all the time win or lose. Huge respect
This was the most clean and the most sportsmanship game ever. No fights no unfair decisions... well done to both teams, but most importantly well done to our boys...
Congratulations South Africa my motherland, I live on the other side of the world now but my heart is always South African. Well done Springboks, you have made me so proud.
"You have to be a South African to understand" the emotions behind our motivation. I am a Postdoc at Zurich, arrived a month ago and I feel very privileged to have had an opportunity to watch the Boks in Paris. This is amazing....super proud of my country.
"Hardest road to a final that any team has ever had". 1) Pool of death. 2) 1 point win against France. 3) 1 point win against England. 4) 1 point win against the All Blacks. 5) Most red cards by opposing teams x6 (Canada x3, Samoa x1, Italy x1, All Blacks x1). 5) 2nd team to win back to back. 6) First team to win 4 x RWC. 7) Won half of the RWC games they played.
May you have many sleepless nights blaming O’keefe you rubbish English fan imagine the professionals don’t say that and here you keyboard warriors come along and bitter English fans come along that’s why you win nothing cause it’s everyone’s else’s fault instead of fixing your shite
Congratulations, South Africa 🇿🇦 we are proud of Springboks. The four years ago SMART goals Bokke set with brilliant minds has been achieved effectively. Together we can make the difference 🇿🇦 well done Bokke 👏
@@davechristopherson8092why though. Pieter stef detoit played and incredible game, make some hard tackles and never stood down to a challenge. Kitsof also played a fabulous game and so did pollard with some amazing kicks. A friend of mine went to watch the match in France and said that the wind was howling, makes more sense why NZ missed several kicks but it then also makes it far more impressive in what pollard was able to do. I’m sorry that you oaks lost, but don’t be sore losers now, your team is honestly the most respectful team and it’s not like their going anywhere soon.
@naugladur8534Yes, but the same people spewing and promoting the negative often do have certain agenda....we all know who they are sadly. These are the same South Africans who allow them to be used by rightwing so called media who spew racial doggwhistle and hate campaigns saying apartheid need to come back. I can assure these people don't look like Siya. I have seen many low key racist videos putting the Saffas and South Africa 🇿🇦 in discredit. Yet the same people saying we need unity are in Australia or New Zealand being ''racist''. These people don't look like the great Saffa Syia kom op bokke kom op Afrika
If only our leaders could be more patriotic and less selfish South Africans would be a very happy people in this beautiful country of ours which is rich in resources. The Bokkes are proof that SA can be very prosperous
Well done Boks we are so proud of you . Thankyou ABs for showing everyone how this sport brings out the best in a man you were anazing . Also remember the ABs had an incredibly hard road to the final . We are proud of both teams 👏
Every team has talented players but SA has more than that, they have determination and and will. Congratulations South Africa for winning back to back this world cup 🎉🥳🎊 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hoping the English rugby union are listening to the last 3 minutes of this press conference! Not all great players come from 3 private schools in England. Time to use all that money on scouting outside of private schools and maintaining English coaches. SA embrace everything what rugby should be, a place for everyone from everywhere. Congratulations to SA rugby from the top down. All love and stay blessed. ❤
While never growing a big head even when they are at the top... truly great ambassadors to the game of rugby and what it truly is all about. Unlike a certain Farrell... oh damn did I mention his name by accident... ooops
TBF, The English played a really great game against us and proved a lot of people wrong. A lot of credit to them. But completely agree with scouting for more players in the rough. Not just the obvious choices.
I am a harlequins fan. We dont want low class people especially northerners spoiling Rugby Union. Let them have league and football. I like rugby the way it is as it has prestige in England without sitting next to a low class uneducated person
The fact that Siya understand that at the end of it all it is about giving back to those who have given their time, resources and money to be part or to support these special team that brings us together for the common goal it is very profound, the captain is very much aware that it is a team work and with the special gifts that God has given everyone of them we can all win, even if it can be an individual who gives us the point and we win, it still means that the team has won, we don't win as individuals but as the team, we are so proud of these incredible team, peace bringers
Siya my son you should be in parliament cause your heart is for the people of South Africa ❤ your heart is pure❤ these parliamentarians must learn from you what it is to serve the country God bless you
Agreed! He stirs up our patriotism and South African hopeful spirit. He is such a great ambassador for us I wish and pray we have a president again one day like him.
I love that Jacques acknowledged that it's the women in these player's lives who have to pick them up when they aren't included in the squad. Women go through a lot.
Siya and Jacques opened the curtain a little bit into their winning strategy: families, study opposition even if you are not playing, know your strengths and play towards it, stay humble and doing it for a bigger cause, each other and your community and your country and lastly you dont have to be the best the world in your position to win, simple recipe difficult to execute, well done Springboks!
Well spoken Siya. Congratulations. You guys have done us proud. Well done - South Africans are honoured to be represented by this amazing team. Siyabonga, Siyabulela, Dankie🙏
May God bless you all and keep you safe and your family's. SUPER proud of you all and you should be proud of yourselves .congrats everyone in the team. What a team.
@@christophegauducheau9027 Seriously man, get over yourselves. The teams lost or won the games, not the referees. So easy to judge during the game while setting with a nice angle on a TV screen with zero pressure from fans and players screaming at you and afterwards reviewing everything with your biased viewpoints. Why don't you go and referee a game and see how you fare
@@RareMaestro I just want a minimum neutral position for refrees it was not the first time it s a lot and when they don t know they are possibility tpo we have to say the mistakes for the futur otherwise they will continue the same way .
@@christophegauducheau9027 I agree with you. All I want is a fair game and for the most part I think they delivered in this world cup. For me it was definitely a step in the right direction
Am not a Rugby fan and however I don't know the rules of it but the final between Springbok and New Zealand got me sitting down and watch until the last minutes of the game and boy i did enjoy the game and i found my self shedding tears when ref blow the whistle ending the game.
Congratulations South Africa. Deserved RWC champions and setting a record and the standard. Well done 👍. Hard luck AB's. We meet again in a few months. See what we've learned.
Testimony to us South Africans as a nation. We have resilience, strenght and will power. We over come so many obstacles and this makes us one of the strongest nations on this earth
Siya makes be so proud to be South African. He shares the same fighting spirit, humility and sincerity as our dear elders, Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu.
😢😢😢😢Siya Kolisi beautifully said . Yes all the players have different tactical view points . The closeness of full team. Proud of you Bokke and you put SA on map and 60 mins delivery. Lol . Excellent Captain
Siya...u are an amazing gentleman.A true ,humble leader.U are an inspiration.Siya ,u have the tools and intelligience and mind set , to follow in some great footsteps ,in bonding a country...in creating a better country. This is what the bok win has done in bonding the country again.A big thank you to the team.
The Rugby World Cup shone very very bright during a very dark time, and we should be grateful to the entire IRB community. Job well done. Including these exceptionally gracious Champions. May that light be brought to the struggling nation of South Africa. Side note, how interesting to see descendants of French Huguenots come back to Paris with such verve and class.
Congratulations to South Africans from a French admirer of the South African team and spirit. And boys, what a captain you have!! PS: special thought for what the great Madiba enabled a quarter of century ago.
Siya, you and the team were under real pressure!Thank you for captaining the team to victory two times@Thank you for keeping the team together!Thank you for the team spirit. You have brought the country together. Siya, thank you. Your former coach knows why he chose you. You didn't disappoint. Thank you for bringing it home.
"It's not the size of the dog in a fight but the size of the fight in a dog", not sure who said this but it couldn't be a better description for this SA. As a SAn, this team plays for much more then just winning a rugby match, with what our country is going through, it just means more to us then the other teams in the world cup. France and New Zealand were far better then us in the games but it just meant more to us &these players.
@@moonhunter9993 maybe the New Zealand game was more close, 1st half, we were really on them but after the red card, they really upped the ante & were under the pump but the France game, only our "gees" & never say die attitude saved us.
What a journey this team has gone through. The experimentation with players, and building a SOLID 50 man team. Those players initially omitted for the RWC23 will have a go in the future.
100%. The goal when Rassie came in was to win in 2023 after a 6 years cycle. We managed to win 2 RWC’s in that time. But the squad is ageing. Time for a major rebuild. I don’t expect us to challenge in 2027 but a great team never truly lays down so 2031 we will be there 🙌
Maybe do your homework!! Instead of talking kak. . To name but a few, the bulk of the squad is in for another 4 years if they want to: Willie le Roux, Nyakane 34 Mapimpi, Reinach 33 Faf, Siya, Eben, Bongi, all 32 years old Pieter-Steph du Toit, De Allende, Pollard, Reinach 31 Kwagga, Chelsin 30 Am, Marx, Handre Pollard, André Esterhuizen 29 RG Snyman, Ox Nche 28 Grant Williams, Kurt Lee Arendse 27 Libbok 26 Grant Williams, Dweba 25 Canaan Moodie 20 and RWC 2023 winners playing yesterday: Vermeulen and Fourie 37,38
