I share my experience with the ASICS SUPERBLAST 2 and its sizing. I went true to size with a Men's 11, but found it tight in the toes, causing discomfort both on flat ground and especially downhill. This might just be a personal issue, but it's worth noting for anyone considering this shoe.

I bought a US size 9 and found the forefoot tight as well. Change my lacing method to the one for wide forefoot and it felt much better.

That’s great too hear! Judging by the comments here, it’s been quite a mixed bag overall. I’m going to try to exchange mine this Weekend IF they have any SB2 in stock. Will have to wait and see. I’m happy they’re working out for you!

What’s your faster splits per mile? Did you make any improvement on your splits since you’ve used the superblast?

I did notice a speed boost I don’t have exact numbers for you. I remember looking at my watch and being happily surprised. The shoe was too tight in the toes for me. It went back. I’m waiting for it to be back in stock to try again. Consider half size up just saying. Thanks

The 2 feels tighter to me as well. I had same size in the superblast 1. Im hoping they break in and loosen off as they're sold out so couldnt return for another size anyway.

They might loosen up and then there’s the single helix lacing method which might could help. Yup sold out everywhere. Mine are going back to the store next weekend. We’ll see what happens. I want a pair that fits to do a proper review

I agree. Great shoe, but had to size up. Exactly the same problem with the toes. I usually wear US Size 10,5 but in this case I had to size up to US 11. All my other shoes (Nike, Saucony, New Balance) are US10,5 and it says 28,5 cm on the box. On the Asics Box US size 10,5 is 28,25 cm and US 11 is 28,5 cm…

Got it. I emailed ASICS for exchange but am not holding my breath. The other option to fix the problem is a different lacing technique. I’m going to try some different things to see if it helps but no promises. Bummer cause the shoe has all the fixins. The SB2 is sold out everywhere (not surprised) Previous true to size went fine.

@@RunningDadAdventures Today I went for a 15k run in the new pair 1/2 size up. I can confirm that the toe-issues are solved. Sizing up did the trick. No problems anymore and lots of comfort. Great shoe!

I just returned mine and gonna for a full size up, my toes are touching to front of the shoe, not good for long runs as it's going to smash my nails...

Got it. Good move. I’m reading ASICS might take back gently used at a physical store within 30 days. My nearest store is 70 miles away. Might be a little road trip in my future

Hi, I just got mine today. Im just wondering if the part under the in sole is color white. I was expecting to be blue similar to what I saw from the previous models. It has a serial number though.

I see. Yes. The shoe insert is white (in my pair) not sure if they come in other colors from factory

It's hit or miss with Asics regarding size. Seems like every other Asics I order is undersized.

My head is still swooning. So much goodness here but I can’t unfeel these dang toes. Was going through the list of is it me or the shoe? I was going to try to work with ASICS to go a half size up. I could persist and see if the shoe opens up but this feels more than a typical “not broken in” shoe as in too tight. In other news Novablast 3 might see some more time on feet 😂 (can serve as a rule out method) Sorry you caught me in shoe nerd mode 🤓

I wish I sized up in these. I got the same size as my SB1 and these are noticeably tighter and I had toe pain on my last run. I loosened up the laces and will give it another go with thinner socks but these may not work out.

Oh no. Same issue as me. So sad. I tried the Helix lacing technique(ASICS website) and it didn’t work. Another guy suggested taking the insert out but I wouldn’t recommend that for a shoe that’s 200$. Needs to fit right. Problem is they’re plum sold out. I’m on the list for the next 1/2 size up. They DO take “gently used” shoes at a ASICS store within 30 days. I took mine in and got a refund. I hope that helps if you continue to have problems. Feel free to reach out. Thanks

Ooh boy, before I ordered I watched a video of Run Testers channel where they compare Superblast 2 to Novablast 4 and they said the fit is exactly the same. I have Novablast 4 on size eu46 so I ordered from Asics a pair of eu46 and a pair of eu46,5. On Monday I will receive them, hopefully I won't have to send them both back, fingers crossed.

Hopefully it fits you well I don’t have the NB4 I have the 3. I could do a side by side. That would be interesting. I am planning to take mine back to the brick and mortar store here next weekend. ASICS gives you 30 days to exchange “gently used” shoes. I doubt they’re going to have a SB2 in 11.5 or 12 but if they do then we’re in the $

@@RunningDadAdventures good for you! Unfortunatelly not Asics shop here in Finland but I have 3 months time to send them back but they must look unworn so I cannot use them outside. My Asics: Magic Speed 4 (46,5) , gt2000-12 (46) ,Novablast 4 (46) and Superblast 2 coming tomorrow. I also have some Hooka, Saucony and Adidas and none of them are size 47, all of them either 46 or 46,5, so I keep my fingers crossed.

Superblast 2 is TTS for me. A half size up would be too big. Very strange. Do you have other ASICS in the same size? I have Novablast 4 too also TTS.

Strange. I sized up .5 from my usual shie size and they were way to big. Returned those got my usual size, which feel fine.

I wear a size 9.5 in the Novablast but a 10 in the Nimbus, so I wouldn't be surprised this is different too. Question is, is this more like the Novablast or Nimbus? I tried on the original Superblast and 9.5 fit better than the 10. Anyone know if the new version fits the same as the old? I've heard different things from different reviews

Can’t say exactly based on your experience. The nb3 fits me true to size and the sb2 was way too tight in the toes. I’m sure about the fit of the nimbus. Some order multiple sizes and then return what they don’t need. Otherwise, hang on to that receipt and be able to send back

So guys, if this can help anybody, i just received them and the fit is exactly the same as the Novablast 4, i do not have Superblast 1 to compare but my Novablast 4 size 46 fits exactly like Superblast 2 size 46, i hope this can help.

This is a massive help. I was thinking of picking up the NB4 when it drops in price to add along my NB3. Now that I know that, I can better a better informed decision so I appreciate that!

Hmm interesting. I’m exchanging mine this weekend at our nearest ASICS store 70 miles away. I doubt they’re going To be in stock there but who knows. I want to give it a full review with it fitting well. I know the shoe has potential. Even though they’re fitting weird for me the shoe felt great otherwise

i‘m wearing Mizuno Wave Rider 27 size JPN 29 US11 and EU 44 1/2 Hoka 45 1/3 EU i don‘t really know which size i should order for Superblast 2 thinking about size 45 EU / US11 but it says 28,5 i‘m confused. otherwise i will send them back and than order 46 EU if they are going to be small i have also Rebellion Flash 2 size 44 1/2 EU also own Hoka Tecton x2 size 45 1/3 and they are perfect. want Asics for next but never had Asics in my life.

I’d go for us side 11,5 and maybe 12. If possible buy a couple sizes and plan to send back what doesn’t work. Should be a thumbs width between toe and end of shoe (my way-doesn’t means it’s the best way)
