Thank you and I am doing well. new videos in the works. I changed jobs a couple times over the summer and haven’t had any time to do editing and uploading… got a couple good ones coming 😉

Skars biggest problem is the lack of drop in re -cone kits available for other models.

What size is the dustcap I believe it's 7" just need clarification so i can get a replacement for my 2 zvx 15s

It is recommended to use an electromagnet instead of a ferrite magnet to make a horn, so that the magnetic force is greater, and the electromagnet is powered by 240v. The electromagnetic coil uses the microwave oven transformer to refit and install the horn instead of the ferrite head magnet to supply power.

That would be challenging to accomplish inside a vehicle. But I have definitely thought about using electromagnets for the motor. Rectifying 240 v would present some challenges as well. The diode bridge would need to be substantial. 12v car electrical system for fixed magnets would work🤔

Yes but when you use a smaller spider you are limiting the xmax to be less then the 10” spider it’s a good idea but if you want all that excursion I would of just put a 10” spider on top of a 7mm spacer then another 5mm spacer then another 10” spider then the clamp on top

There will definitely be some reduction to the maximum mechanical excursion (x-mech) due to the smaller spider for two reasons. The distance from the lower spider to the top plate is reduced and the physical excursion limit of the spider itself. Once I get it hooked up I will just send it and see how it performs 🤷‍♂️.
