They have made like zero progress that shit is definitely gonna get canceled it has like 4 developers, and in their latest video, they focused more on the cosmetics than the skateboarding because it's just gonna be more free to play slop
They are basing it off of community feed back 100% so they definitely will keep it in, I’m just hoping that I don’t gotta glitch in colored grip tape no more 🤣
This takes me back to the demo for the OG Skate on Xbox 360. I spent so much time in that demo waiting for the game to drop. Learned ways to glitch out of the confined demo area and skate the city. Cool to see people getting their hands on the play test and enjoying the hell out of this little bit we have right now.
Completely agree. Skate is supposed to be a more realistic take on skateboarding. These people need to go play mirrors edge if they want to play a parkour game.
@@masterroshimagazines4354 hard makes the ollie have less pop, you push slower, and you can’t do drops from as high. Was always super satisfying playing on hard mode and skating a street spot or whatevr to try realistic lines to then watch them back in the replay editor and watching what you did from different angles 😂 good times
@@Phlayr exactly. You also had to line up the rails perfectly. Was a completely different experience, although I preferred normal difficulty. Its like the people talking shit never even played the old games lmao
Imagine people making impossible custom parkour maps where you have to mix on-foot obstacles with skate ones. This game has a huge potential in the modding/custom levels world.
I can’t wait for the final graphics. I know this is a very early version but if they really polish and take their time they will have insane custom maps in a time where people create community content more than ever
Even though its really buggy, nothing is textured and it crashes every 5 minutes its still alot of fun! but they have a long way to go, i honestly think the game needs another solid year or two to be good enough to hang with the other 3 games. i really hope they take their time and make this game perfect
Mixed feelings on the parkour element. Looks like a fun game mechanic but also looks super unrealistic and arcade-y for a Skate game. I guess they’re doubling down on the Skate 3 mechanics.

I loved the parkour mechanics in the Skate games. They were never quite fully fleshed out enough to do sick extended runs with, but you could do some neat tricks. I always tried making parkour lines in the park editor. I'm hoping this game takes those mechanics even further. Honestly, I would love a parkour centered game in the same vain as Skate. Full on simulation style. Where it's not some action-y cyberpunk dystopian future. It's just finding ways to turn a mundane urban landscape into your own personal playground.
the fact that parkour Is in Skate four. Just shows you these EA suit and ties don't have any idea what skateboarding is about. This game is probably going to flop because it has parkour in it. I thought this was going to be SKATE 4
dude they added parkour so can climb shit to get to higher without glitching. The original creators are back making it and have been giving a lot of insight when they update it. You're just upset its not a copy past form of skate 1+2

It's just a clue about where the priorities of the game are vis a vis legit sim vs arcade game. It's a bit disheartening for the people hoping for a return to the og Skate form and maybe moving a bit away from the Monster Parks and Hall of Meat stuff of Skate 3.
@@chaseharley1215 how is it a clue about where the priorities are? from what’s been shown, the skating itself looks mind blowing. down to the tiniest intricacies of foot adjustments and even subtle hip rotations. and i don’t think this is a diversion from the initial spirit of Skate. i think if the technology allowed for them to do this type of shit from the jump, they’d have included this in the original games. this shit looks like a dream

All the OG’s who played Skate 1-3, we’ve missed it. We’ve felt lost in a way since then, but now it’s time we can do it again. It’s not over yet friends, it’s only the beginning.
This will be one of the best parts of this game ngl, especially if they keep it how it is here with how it’s kind of goofy but fun and not broken then it will fit beautifully with the game and create so much more fun and funny moments playing this game.
I'm feeling there's gonna be an offshoot based from the Skate gameplay simply named "Free Running" as a successor of the 2007 game of the same name but with the janky ah physics we loved.
This is fucking brilliant I can't wait. The movement on this game looks above and beyond. Thr replayabilty is going to be great and the community is gonna pull off some insane clips
imagine if fans just add textures before the fucking full release and it will be fully playable free roaming alpha with textures (not talking about any online services just texturing the game)
I’ve said it for years man. Skateboarding, open world street racing, games like riders republic; parkour. Adding ways for not only the vehicles but your actual player to interact with the world and add more depth to the “can I do this?” To create insane moments.
