Honestly, I've been impressed thus far. I think people are expecting "Skate 4" and not a free to play "Skate" game. Those are the people who are going to be disappointed, most likely. Keep your hopes high and your expectations much, much lower. It is EA after all... Still, it looks good so far👍

I don't see a reason why it can't be one large open world map. We have enough graphical power across current gen and PC to be able to run a large open world no problem.

See someone gets it, I feel like skate to is the best skate, the scenery wasn’t blinding. It was very warm. There’s not so many glitches, to be honest, there’s like two, it’s more realistic, just everything about it is PERFECT. They could never make another game like that.

@@ericlegare2315 the glitches in skate 3 added a whole other world of gameplay for people that finished the game. I think skate games feel better when they aren’t as realistic

I kinda liked the map being separated IMO it kept the themes of the districts more clear

I’d say the ragdolls are a huge improvement over Skate 3’s. Skate 3 had stiff ragdolls, I don’t even think it should be called a ragdoll. At least in 4, the ragdolls are now fluid, almost as they were in 1 and 2.

Do you have any good emulator tips? I used to run a ps3 emulator but resolution was not going over 720p.

@@Annihilation99 I'd suggest using RPCS3, and using their wiki page to look at the best configuration to get the best performance out of the games. Considering they're PS3 games, you won't commonly find games that do support 1080p cosndering their age, and some are simply unstable when emulated. Looking at the list of games I own, only 2 games run 1080p, which is skate 3, and god of war.

I think it would be cool if you could customize it. L3 controls left foot, R3 controls right. Or R3 controls both (like Regular Skate) or L3 controls both

@@cornholio8739 It won't have that it'd be an entirely different system they can't just suddenly let you map a left and right foot to perform tricks it'll be single stick based.

@@Lethargy514 in my case I’m here for the mechanics and the gameplay only. I agree EA sucks, but for skate 4, i truly do not give a rats ass who is the publisher or if nike dunks are locked behind a microtransaction, i’d play it if it was even just a single rail on a textureless map

Very Debatable while session is a great game it only really appeals to a niche small community of gamers including myself cause I love the game but Session really lacks in content and polish if your not on PC session is not the best skating game experience not to mention the games hype has completely died down game definitely needs more updates before it can be considered “the best”

@@pium1568 from everything I've seen. They're focusing more on adding parkour. The mechanics look like they haven't been updated. As of pre pre alpha state the graphics look like they'll barely be any different than the other skates. It's been over a decade. EA has had ample time to build the greatest skate game, and it barely looks different than the other skates games. They're making it free to play so I'm expecting there to be a ton of "buy these extras or your game will be boring and half ass". We'll see tho. Maybe it's just bad first impressions.
