For those Babylon 5 fans out there, spoo made a guest appearance (of sorts) on She-Ra Princess of Power, Season 1 Episode 18, "Gateway to Trouble". Apparently J.M. Straczynski had a hand in that series.
I, having no context of what's going on here, still find it very in-character and very appreciate that Skeletor is in this land of color and whimsy, and the first thing he does is make a throne on which he can haughtily lounge and condescend.
@@TJDious this was exactly what I thought lol. I can totally imagine they wanted to cut down on production time by reusing any old animation of Skeletor sitting down and decided to just write into the script that he decides to make himself a throne.
@@Sernival Duh. Introverted Millenial Hands. Edit: Wait, how old do you think millenials are? Just wonder if you're one of those people that use it incorrectly.
I remember as a teen thinking skeletor should have some deep booming voice but then I realized if he did 5 year old me would have spoo'ed my pants and been terrified lol
Joe Michael Straczynski, I believe was the writer on this, and also on Babylon 5, where the Narn G’Kar offers Londo, his nemesis, spoo-which is violently rejected. Spoo exists in both worlds, appearing multiple times in Babylon 5-and, as the writer revealed, "is OOPS, spelled backwards…"
I will not eat them on a boat, on a train, or on a plane. I will not eat them from a sock, I will not eat them with a hawk! I do not like Green Eggs and Spoo, I certainly won’t eat them served by you!
@@danwilliams1989 Skeletor ran from the elf and too Skull Castle. In the main chambers, in that grand hall, he laughed as he conquered all. But as he ordered the servants to bring him his meal, under that serving tray was that elf, "What a grand place, to have a Royal meal, what a sight looking out, upon the lands that you now command, what a grand place for green eggs and Spoo to be had."
@@madisonatteberry9720 "What a grand place for green eggs and spoo to be had" is quite a thing to exclaim, lmao. I think even Suess would double take on that one. 😂💀💀
"have you got anything without spoo in it" "well, there's spoo, eggs, bacon and spoo, that's not got much spoo in it" "i don't want any spoo, i hate spoo"
Every other villian would have slapped the bowl out of her hand. But not skeletor - he would never degrade himself by punishing his servants like that.
honestly i think not knowing what things are before you hate them is the biggest evil of all in the internet age. nowadays when somebody calls a popular thing bad, you really can't tell whose opinions come from experience and knowhow, and who is just posting a dime a dozen hot take for attention and interaction farming.
If you're seeing "spoo", you're watching something written by J. Michael Straczynski. Most notably, it's in SF series "Babylon 5", which is why you're seeing words like "Narn" and "Londo" in the thread
The fact that the delivery and humor of the lines are from the official show and NOT a Fan Dub goes to show that the writing is so on point! I need to watch this show now.
Here you go, all episodes in order from both seasons and the Christmas special in between, which also has some of Skeletor's best lines it!! Playlist from my channel ru-vid.com/group/PLEILFa6KhhMn1hSaG7MruV_XxoR5U9eHN
If someone wants to know what "Spoo" stands for, its a meat based food. That's what the girl offered Skeletor to eat. Masters of the Universe and Babylon 5 are very connected.
Dude blasts a rock into a thrown, sits down and immediately gets served food and sends it back like a boss! Then questions is this worth it. If all they got is spoo then no it’s not worth it.
0:17 They spent all that time animating her walk cycle when they could've just had a still shot of her standing next to the throne. This is why 80s cartoons are awesome.
Me trying to carve a throne out of rock: "I've been practicing this for over 30 years. Still can't get it right!" Skeletor blasting rock once: Rock becomes throne
Spoo is high in fiber and protein, gluten-free, has a low glycemic index, and is certified organic. Skeletor doesn't realize spoo will help him stay totally ripped.
You would think Skeletor could use his magic to make a really nice looking throne instead of chiseling a boulder so that it just barely looks like one.
