I love this sketch book and how it shows your thought process from day to day. And I love your "Note to self". I get hung up because I don't have a Sydney Opera House to sketch or a historic land mark so I don't sketch anything. Day after day goes by with nothing to show for it. If you don't mind I'm going to borrow your "Note to self" and make it my daily inspiration, with credit given to you naturally. Thank you for being an inspiration!
oh! its an honour if my note to self is helpful to you. I often find the most meaningful sketches years down the track are the ones of everyday life - the things that come and go and change - not the big iconic images/places
this video was very helpful for me I wanted to get a another S&B sketch book . and this 8X10 looks like the nest one im getting. ive always used the zeta 8x5.
Liz, congratulations on the centennial edition in the sketchbook series. It's another beauty. Can you please tell me how you do the date and day on each page? Are they stamps? I have tried to find stamps that size without luck.
I have been sketching for a long time and I'm looking to improve my skills for better urban sketching. Can you recommend which of your classes to start with?
Hi Brie, Foundations is the course to start with. As it is conceptual, there is a lot of content for seasoned sketchers - to improve their visual thinking and speed up their sketches. On a personal note, my sketching improved heaps while I was preparing the lessons. sketchingnow.com/foundations-course/
