Thank you so much for sharing. I've been using sketch up a a while, draw pretty fast, but can't construct complicated stuffs as yet. Goad bless You Aidan, the world is a better place with cool people like you out there to share and help others.
it took me 2 hours to do this What a cool way and easiest way I have been watching some your videos they are all cool and easy to understand Thanks allot for all this
this vid is so helpful for me.. i am an architecture graduating student, currently doing my individual thesis... thanks a lot. "salamat"(thank you in filipino)
I was thinking about making my own video on creating roofs with follow me, but turns out someone already made it: just some things I would advice whoever is reading the comments: while creating your triangle, you can create a really huge one that touches any of the outter lines. That makes it easier to delete the undesired faces after intersecting. (by the way, you should click intersect with SELECTION instead of MODEL. If your model is too complex and full of faces, it'll mess it up). Oh, another thing you can do is, after intersecting the faces, just move the whole thing up, copy the back faces pointing down, delete the whole thing, and paste the roof back. You should be left with the desired faces only. :)
Very very very helpful and many thanks to you for making this video and showing us how. I have been trying to figure it out for awhile now but gave up and guessing haha. Thanks again
