Just when you think you have decent skills, you get schooled! Great video and thank you for sharing - picked up some great tips and plugins. I take pride and time into creating detailed models such as this and your video will help a lot of us improve methods for increased speed and efficiency - well done!

Out of curiosity, do you increase the cost of the project when you encounter a situation like this or do you just have a set price and this happens from time to time? As I’m fairly new to modeling I’m always mystified how you’re ever supposed to give a client any kind of baseline when stuff like this comes up and they don’t really understand why it’s any different to model than some of their other homes. I work for a builder that tends to do some complex roofs (nowhere near this complex) but varying slopes/pitches, Dutch gables integrated into hips integrated into mansards etc, makes my head spin 😂

i like the video but its really frustrating that you don't make it clear what plugins youre using. The video doesn't help much if I can't use the same techniques you demonstrated

I would run screaming away from any house with such a roof. Not just due to the bizarre aesthetics, but for pragmatic reasons (maintenance, increased likelihood of failure, cost of roofing, unnecessary complexity, etc.).
