About this van:
It is super cool to meet people who were inspired by the videos I made about my first van
(this one; • How to convert a Van i... ) Great to hear that it was part of Vince and Kate's story leading to them self-building this van so that they could spend long periods skiing in the alps and have all the luxuries of a cosy ski chalet, but without the massive price!
This van really is a chalet on wheels and when you're inside and the doors are closed you'd never know you were in a van. Every inch of the metal has been covered with beautiful wood and the result is a warm, cosy feeling home.
The van is also not short on cool features and includes a great kitchen, awesome fixed bed with massive garage storage, an exterior gas-powered shower, a fully off-grid solar-powered electric system and an ingenious pull-out table, which creates a great dining area, despite the van having a fixed bed.
Although the wooden Scandi look features in a lot of self-build vans, this one really nails it and is a great example of how it can be done with class!
