@@apemoon1731 poor Richard even after all this time he still has the clumsy dance moves, as can be seen in footage of the Skids recent gigs. Theres a gig at the Albert Hall where Richard tells the audience about a fan he met outside the gig and the fan said, I hope you wont be doing any of your silly dancing at tonights gig, ha ha. ....

Graham Goodall it's a disgrace how he is not given the credit he deserves, he was indeed a genius, his guitar work in the Skids was extrordinary. There should be a documentary on Stuart , I thought BBC Scotland might do something on his tenth anniversary of his passing, no such luck.

I worked on a Simple Minds tour over here in the US several years ago and had more than one long conversation with Jim Kerr. Football and music mostly. One chat always sticks in my mind. He told me all about the first time he ever saw Skids and how blown away he was at how good they were.

Stuart Adamson (who I think is only about 19 yr old here), was an exceptionally talented musician with a sound all his own, U2s Edge learned a lot from early support slots with The Skids. Pity Stuart didn't make it to a Skids reunion that would've been something very special indeed.

It owes a bit to Scottish traditional music. Hard to explain, it's all to do with grace notes etc. I took lessons on the pipes as a child, and recognise a lot of the rhythms.

The Skids reform sounds fantastic, so sad that Stuart didn’t get to be part of it. Jobson looks more like a street fighter these days! And still can’t dance! Ha ha. This is such an earworm, hell 1979 was the best!

Stuart’s ‘guitar hero’ produced the second album and some of the associated singles, he also performed, “For Stuart” at Adamson’s memorial concert, he played keyboards on this and other tracks. He, being Bill Nelson. Later live performances included new drummer Rusty Egan and Alasdair Snow on various keyboards.
