No, you're not boring us! While you test skincare products for a living, we appreciate that you are consistent, and have an arsenal of "old faithfuls". It's disingenuous when other influencers seem to have a new favorite every 5 seconds, coinciding with the arrival of a PR box on their doorstep.
@@KellyDriscoll That says a lot about how you operate as a content creator. You aren't in it for free PR, brand trips, or clout. We truly appreciate your consistent, honest, and ethical approach.
that illiyoon cream is my HG moisturizer esp in the night even though i have oily acne prone skin. i love how it just absorbs so quick despite it being a medium weight type of cream. i would love to see a part 2 kelly!
Is it worth it? Because im on the fence on ceramides. Was planning to get this. However, the ratio of ceramides is important for its effectiveness. Unlike retinol and vit c, that has tons of research being done. Its very hard to tell if ceramides actually works. Although its important, it kinda works like a moisturizer. Plus, the illiyoon cream does not disclose the ceramides %.. Im very hesitant on korean products (except for their sunscreen) because they like putting in natural ingredients in it and has small % of actually proven ingredients. Always feel kbeauty products emphasize too much on hydration which imo easily achieved with other products on more affordable price... Kbeauty products often to me comes off more novelty and gimmicky than effectiveness. Maybe because people are on the hype train kbeauty and kpop that they just give good reviews which leads me to believe i cant trust people's one sided opinion... Easy for korean to market and churn out products too..Im not after the hydration which can be formulated using cheaper ingredients. Just want to know if its effective and proven. Even this illiyoon cream that kept tugging my heart strings, i have a doubt on the back of mind that its just on the hydrating side rather than effectiveness... Just like most of the kbeauty products🤦♀🤷♀ i just don't want to be disappointed
A part two would be welcome. I also would like a related video in which you talk about how you try so many new products. It seems like you have a core list of products, so do you only replace one core item at a time or more? How does this affect your skin? What is the best system? You seem like someone who would finish a product if it is at least okay or do you pass it on to someone else. I want to try new things and I do, after much research and consideration, but I want to know how best to introduce a new item so my skin doesn’t freak out.
Best system is introducing one product at a time for about 2-3 weeks before adding anything else new. Cleansers and toners ime can be added in for less time before you know how it affects the skin.
Yes! I want to see a part 2 and 3! I'm definitely not bored! I LOVE hearing about what you genuinely love and what truly works for you! 💕 Also I really appreciate you letting us know about the Prem toner being an affordable alternative to the Keep Cool Toner. I definitely believe in giving 2nd chances when a company tries to make things right, like Purito. But I don't give my money to any company that doesn't treat people with respect and Keep Cool certainly didn't treat people with respect and they haven't tried to make things right in my opinion. Trying to sweep things under the rug and never apologizing to the influencers they threatened is not trying to make things right as far as I'm concerned so I'll give my money to Prem instead.
I just tried the Illiyoon ceramide cream on my face for the first time and I'm surprised just how perfect the texture is! I have oily skin and I thought it would be too thick, but it's actually such a natural finish on the skin!
Please can we have a part 2!!!! You’ve taught me so much about ingredients and skincare and I’ve noticed such a difference in my skin so thank you🥰Sending love from Northern Ireland
Illiyoon is my HG, which I learned about from you! I also love Shiseido hair and skincare products too :) I used to use all the Shiseido Tsubaki products(the red bottles) when I lived in Japan and it always made my hair so soft
When you repurchase, that confirms that the product is really good. 😃 I purchase polyphenols in Propolis 15% ampoules, Illyoon cream, and Cerave a lot. It lasts for a long time though. Yes, another video. Love from NYC! ❤️
Going through some tough times but your videos relax me! Have a great day Kelly!! My most repurchased product would be Panoxyl face wash. Yes please part 2!!
Would love to see more full brand reviews like the entire make P:rem safe me line and a review of more Pyukang Yul products just because I trust your opinion or whether or not to purchase products and I feel like those lines have so many options and I don’t know what’s best!
The hair mask has been wonderful for my hair the last few months. After some health challenges with hormones last year, my hair just wasn’t the same and had to keep cutting it. My hairdresser was so impressed by the difference between visits when I first started using it
Yes, part two please! One of my most repurchased personal care products is coconut oil from the grocery store. I have used it as a pre-shower hair mask, and also body moisturizer. It helps my eczema/itchiness prone skin so much! For face, my most repurchased product is the hada labo oil cleanser. Hey refills!
Yes! These types of videos give me life. Cut through the good to get to the best. My list would be too long, but they are a mix of Western and K-beauty.
Yassss to another part. These videos are really interesting because we find out what our skinfluencers truly use and when we find those out we know those are the best!!!
The new Aveeno dermexa daily emollient cream is amazing I can't stop buying it, it was a saviour here for me in the winter months, they nailed it with their prebiotic triple oat complex and ceramides, the formula is very unique it's very oaty calming and soothing, it's very affordable and effective at the same time, I love their balm version which is even more and more occlusive again without being greasy, I'm positive you'll love both Kelly, I hope you can get your hands on both soon❤️
I used the Lipakar on my face for the first time, yesterday. No bueno. It wouldn't settle into the skin, looked super shiny & is thick. Now I know firsthand, just for the body. Definitely gonna try everything you recommended!!
Yes to part 2!!! My must have is Ample:N ceramide shot ampoule! Even after I no longer "needed" to use it, my face just feels so much better and stronger when I use it everyday😁I'm hooked😂
Yes, more! Love these videos. I'm often using things up so I don't always remember things you've mentioned once it's time to replace. Love your channel!
My favorite right now is RLP cica B5 balm and Aveeno Dermexa Balm. Dry skin in winters, those are the saver. Multi use and kids friendly. Especially apply a layer after retinol to reduce the dryness and red.
I felt Keep Cool was the bully on the block during the sunscreen scandal. I felt bad for influencers who were just doing their jobs at the time. I don't want to harbor bad feelings but I just don't feel the joy when I use their products, anymore. I won't be purchasing again. Thanks for the dupe! 😊
I think it's behavior that's more common in Korea since they take defamation very seriously (laws are very strict and designed to protect businesses). So it was a misstep for sure but I was hoping they'd be able to see that error and apologize and move forward in a better way. While they went through the motions I didn't feel the heart and that's what really bothered me.
Hello Beautiful Kelly!! I have to say, I completely agree about the love is real about Make P:rem!!! I just recently received their safe me ampoule and my oh my!! My skin is rejoicing and loving every drop!! Im definitely getting the toner!! I had looked at the ing list of the Bioderma mask and thought well, there really isn’t much that could help me but hearing what you said I will have to pick it up!! Thank you so much! Have a wonderful weekend!! 🥰🥰
Love the video! I totally agree with you about the Keel Cool brand… in my opinion, this is the same thing people say about Drunk Elephant but everyone & their mother still buys drunk elephant!
I think DE fell out of favor with a lot of influencers but it still seems popular outside of social media, they secured their deal with Unilever at just the right time.
Illiyoon has won my heart. I use the ato lotion in the big pump in summertime and the cream in the colder months. It is just absolutely amazing and I get them both from Olive Young that usually has special packages with gifts. I re purchase Illiyoon, as well as Laneige cream skin refiner essence, Dr Ceuracle vegan kombucha essence, abib heartlief sticker sheet masks and hada labo cleansing oil.
Most purchased for me are the Good Skin Days C's The Day, the Missha First Treatment Essence, Stratia Liquid Gold (thanks to you -- my husband's also obsessed) and Krave Beauty Beet Shield (bought 10 last black friday before it was discontinued). Oooh, and probably The Inkey List Bakuchiol Moisturizer and PKY Ato Cream Blue Label
My most repurchased products are the Inkey List oat cleansing balm, Purito Centella recovery cream and Serum. Also the DHC cleansing oil and lip cream. Love your channel and videos so definitely would like a part 2. Looking forward to trying the new Purito broad spectrum spf
I think keep cool would actually need to come out and say they grind up puppies to make their products if I were to ever stop using that toner. It's my ultimate HG product and without it my skincare just falls apart. I am do grateful to you for introducing it to me!
Ohh and my must purchase product has to be cerave cream because I get the tub and use it at bedtime with my tretinoin and all over my body!! Holy grail
Hi Kelly I use the Lipikar as a night cream, but I am very dry (plus rosacea and eczema). I usually get the baby version here in the UK (a slightly better INCI list). It's a long term favourite as is the toleraine hydrating cleanser. It's not enough for my body skin, but I get cream/moisturiser from my Doctor on prescription for the body. The bioderma sensibio misceller water is a long term favourite too - never stings the eyes or makes them blurry. Something from K beauty I've repurchased quite a few times is the Klairs fundamental watery oil drop and the Isntree tw bifida serum - both really work on my skin. I also love the Avene antirougours refreshing cleanser - so super gentle on the skin. The Benton centella rescue sheet mask and the Klairs soothing sheet mask are both something I've repurchased many many times, for a soothing and deeply hydrating treat. Toners and essences I tend to switch up regularly and try quite a few tbh. I liked the Illyoon ok, but only as a day cream due to how dry I am. Obviously yes to a part two lol. Best wishes.
The repurchases i literally buy on loop are the; Heimish all green foam cleanser, pyung kang yul essence toner, Bentons green tea toner, beauty of joseon ginseng essence, wishtrend polyphenol propolis serum and of course the quad essence (thanks to your recommendations!) Pyung kang yul moisture ampoule is also another one I love.
I am so glad that illiyoon is gaining popularity now. Back then in 2019 when I purchased this in Seoul's Olive Young, I couldn't find much reviews about it yet I find it better than CeraVe. Now, I hope Ceradan and Physiogel would also start to become popular as well!
Yes, another video like this Kelly. I like that you have some back stories to tell to back up your love for the products. Some of my favorites are actually from your recommendations such as benton deep green tea toner and Illiyoon.
Great video, I would love to see more. My most repurchased skincare item is the Apieu Madecassoside Ampoule. I need that Centella, I need that Madecassoside to reduce my redness.
I agree with the make prem toner as a great watery layerable toner. I like it more than the Keep Cool and Tiam B3 which I bought on your recommendation. But I love the make prem more!
Loving your favorites!! The cerave moisturizer and the LRP lipikar are hands down my faves I use them all over but I really want to try the Illiyoon cream now! 😊
Yes to a part 2, your videos are so helpful! And could you please review the new calming line from Pyunkang Yul? I've tried a few samples and like it so far, but would love to hear what you think :)
I repurchase the some by mi aha/bha/pha water/oil serum and the beautybay vitamine C serum and pot oat cream all the time. I feel like BeautyBay's skincare is underrated, especialy for the price! Part 2 (and 3) please 💚
Yes, can’t wait to get the By wishtrend Propolis serum & the Illiyoon moisturiser soon. Just waiting on one of the websites to restock it here in India 💕
My products that I have came across that I am head over heels for are Pyunkang Yul Calming Moisture Repair Balm (truly believe you’ll be in love if you try it), Huxley conditioning essence reframe, d’Alba white truffle first serum spray, Numbuzin no 3, and Round Lab Birch Juice sun cream. I also saw you recently dipped toes into Copper Peptides and wanted to recommend the NIOD CAIS (I enjoy the serum bottled one). It’s very pricey but for a reason. It takes consistency to get results but at about the 4 or 5 month mark you’ll see them. Btw… the Pyunkang Yul balm has replaced Stratia and Krave GBR for me. I love both but this balm is heavenly and never causes me congestion like continued use of Stratia and Krave do for me. Thanks for the videos K!
JUST got the by wishtrend propolis serum after ordering a few weeks ago. Don’t feel bad for bringing it up over and over!! I finally broke down and had to purchase 😅
Yes to part 2! And part 3! 😍 How do you use the bioderma mask? Do you wash it off after 10 minutes? I love the other bioderma sensibio products but the mask seemed kind of like a moisturizer and wondering if you ever use it as an overnight mask or just as a wash off mask. Thank you!
It's a wash off mask, you can rinse it off or just wipe it off your face if you want lots of moisture. Anything longer than 10 minutes and it pretty much absorbs fully into the skin.
@@KellyDriscoll thanks Kelly! I ended up walking into Walgreens this weekend and they had the last one on the shelf so I had to try it! It truly does feel so calming and soothing, and actually has a really luxurious texture. I'm using it as my bath mask. I love it!
Absolutely waiting for part 2!! And I'm wondering if you think the shiseido tsubaki repair line would be okay for my fine hair? I have a lot of it. I have a shampoo that I'm using but need to alternate it with something more moisturizing and incorporate a new mask. Thank you 🤍 You are the best!
Just a tip for hair care: just like skin.. pH matters. Go for a more acidic pH like with Amika The Kure line or Redken acidic bonding concentrate line.
Unfortunately the toner and serum have been reformulated from FAB all the good ingredients that were at the top of the list, are now at the bottom, I did reach out to them on Instagram asking why they never informed their customers but got no response, so disappointed in this brand that I won’t be buying from them again 😩
Is illiyoon suitable for acne prone skin? I recently bought iunik beta glucan moisturiser. My skin is very dry but highly acne prone. Which would be better for me? X
Love your content!!!!😘 The products I can't get enough of Is the CosRX Pure Fit Cica toner, ample:n ceramide shot ampoule, NIOD survival 0 and 30, TO copper peptides, FT exaglow serum, Geek and Gorgeous aPAD serum, Heimish Moisture Surge gel cream, Niod lip bio-lipid concentrate 😅🤩 Have a great day!😘
@@crissyanderson6495 definitely 2 of my favourite brands. Niod is a little bit up price but I find their serums last forever since you really need a tiny bit each time. G&G is fantastic at super affordable prices. Love their cleanser, vitC, aPAD, A-game and even they H5 rich serum (if you like a stand alone hyaluronic acid, this one is great! Not sticky or tacky or peeling)
It’s amazing how skin is different. Was recently diagnosed with rosacea and Bioderma Sensibio AR cream became my big saviour. But Sensibio mask is a big big no. At least for now
You are right! Everyone’s skin is different. But, I do have rosacea skin as well. I was going to try Bioderma Sensibio Mask but seeing your comment, I’m now debating!! I definitely don’t want a flare up!! I might just try the AR cream and go from there! Thanks so much and have a wonderful weekend!
I've been using Lipikar Balm on the body but I don't think I could ever use it on the face. It's amazing for dry body skin. Wish I'd found it years ago!
Mine is rovectin face and body cream.. i like it for night time and it’s one of the few thick moisturizer that doesnt clog my pore and break me out. My face is so clogpore prome that even gel cream break me out 😩 doesnt help that my skin hates squalane
Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask. But… I kinda want to try something different but I want the exact same texture and absorbs the same way. Any recs?
