Skirk Reveals Truth About Gnosis & Descenders - Genshin Impact 

The fact every Archon has given the Fatui their Gnosis probably means all the archons have some type of disagreement or have a bad view on the heavenly principles.

I like how how the Tsarita/Fatui's plans have evolved over the years. We saw them as evil mustache twirling villains, always mad that they got thier Gnosis so easily, now we're actually kinda hoping they will ally with us long enough to defeat the Heavenly Principles.

I suspect that they might be collecting the gnosis to revive the third descender, maybe they can help in the final fight with celestia. Maybe theyre that powerful, given that their remains were separated and distributed to the 7 archons to keep or hide. Who knows what would happen if every piece is in the same place and then triggered? I just returned to the game tho so idk 🤷

So the Tsaritsa isn't collecting the Gnosis for the authority since the gods' authorities aren't placed in the gnoses. - All the gnosis are remains of the 3rd Descender who is dead - The gnosis have curse on them that would bring misfortune - Descenders have similarities with gnoses I was so sure that Tsaritsa was going to get the gnoses for the dragons' authorities. Now I have no freaking idea what she's planning to do. Also if that whale is a "failed pet" of skirk's master. WHO THE HELL IS HE?? HOW STRONG IS HE???

You know when pawns make to the end of the board. They can turn into a queen? What if thats what happens to the traveler?

The only character in Genshin lore that is said to have been killed and ripped apart, as if his remains were containing valuable energy, was the Prince of Light from the old full version of the book "Pale Princess and Six Pygmees". It ends with one pygmie regretting what he and his kin did, hiding the remains in a tree somewhere in the "land of night". They deleted the book from game files, could be because this lore is outdated or might be too much foreshadowing, but is very interesting one indeed.

The first descender is the primordial one, the second descender is the sinner, and the third is currently cursed within the gnoses and that leaves us the traveler as the 4th descender but our twin doesn’t count because they are involved within Irminsul. In Honkai starrail there is that genshin wind glider, and that one nameless who used to be in the astral express with Himeko and welt or even before welt, that nameless was never seen again perhaps it could be connected.

I'm hoping that the next interlude reveals why only the traveler is considered a descender and not the abyss sibling. Heck the heavenly principles is the first descender so it's curious why the abyss sibling is not considered as one.

I think it will be Tsaritsa's plan create the Third Descender through the Gnosis and cause chaos in Teyvat for the Heavenly Principles to come down in Teyvat. Maybe the Gnostic Hymn in battle pass hides something we overlooked.

A lot of people are probably gonna be surprised at the Gnosis not being the authority- but honestly, if you so much as glanced at Gnosis lore once you'll figure out that things weren't adding up with the 'Gnosis = Authority' assumption from the start.

I could see what the third descender is like If you put light through a prism it will shatter into 7 colors I think same rules can apply to this scenario, so the third descender is the light element (or omni element)

So there's no nore Hydro archon, but the one who's governing Fontaine is the Hydro Dragon, am I correct?

If Traveler were to master all 7 elements, will he be able to gain power like the Third Descender? Since he can use (currently) 5 elements, he might be an omnipotent being like the Third Descender too.

From what I can understand, it's like how the 3rd descender might have been the same as the traveler who could weild multiple elements. Following the new info we now have, it seems that the body of that descender was separated into 7 and thus, was turned into vessels which can hold the powers that were stolen from the sovereigns - this is now what we know as the Gnoses. I might be overthinking this but the traveler might be able to defeat Celestia if they can borrow the power of all gods and sovereigns of Teyvat. Maybe that's why they needed the help of other people in every nation, to show to us that no matter how powerful we are, we are nothing compared to Celestia if we only rely on ourselves alone.

I believe the "sinner" who spoke to the traveler from the crystal hanging upside-down in Sumeru is the third descender.

In the Genshin manga, Venti speaks of dead gods whose remains were used to build Teyvat.

Its very interesting. Remember that the Primordial One who was the First Descender was able to split himself into 4 parts so it would make sense if the Third Descender was also able to do that. We thought the Gnoses were the Authorities of the Sovereigns but now we know that they are the powers of a Celestial God which makes the Gnoses even more powerful than you could imagine.

What if Celestia is baiting the Traveler to collect all 7 Elements so they can chop him up for a new set of Gnoses?

Damn, what the hell was Celestia up to? Cause that was reveal was dark and kinda f***ed up. The Gnosis have stolen powers of the dragon soveirgns and are also the remains of the now dead 3rd descender.

Theory on Gnosis: When Skirk asked Neuvilette about the remains on the 3rd descender which then was explained that it was a gnosis, I suspect the 3rd descender is still alive. I believe that the gnoses are tools that seal the 3rd descender. Since the 3rd descender was very powerful, sealing him was the only way. To make the 3rd descender never rise again, Celestia created an archon war to find the strongest 7 elemental entities to protect the gnoses and have it spread out across nations. They made the archons believe that the gnosis was a reward of power for having a seat of the seven. During the Sumeru archon quest, Nahida threatened Dottore of breaking the gnosis and awaken the Heavenly Principles, which could be a hint that breaking a gnosis would mean releasing a part of the 3rd descender into Teyvat and make the Heavenly Principles take action. The Tsaritsa’s goals of collecting the gnosis might be a way to defeat Celestia or the Heavenly Principles. Breaking a gnosis would give attention to Celestia and might disrupt the plans of the Tsaritsa. Taking the gnosis in each nation must be done as quietly as possible. In the future, with the advancements of the Fatuis Machinations and Technology, the 3rd descender might return OR maybe the Tsaritsa will fuse herself with all the gnosis and make her as powerful as the 3rd descender. The Tsaritsa might do what Scaramouche did on Sumeru, but now with 7 gnosis. Who knows? That’s my little theory.

Gnosis bringing misfortune to their bearer explained why all the Archons have somewhat terrible and sad backstory.

I believe that The Lady Tsaritsa and Shnezhnaya is and will be Teyvat's real hero disguised as a villain. One way or another, we will fight alongside with them against the Heavenly Principle.

I think Fatui is planning to resurrect the 3rd descender with all the gnoses in Natlan . Hence the quest is name ‘ The Ode of Ressurection’ . Or perhaps it could be somehting else idk

Hear me out. The Cryo Archon is the god of love right? What if the third decender is someone she loved and lost due to the war?

Neuvillette out of all should be eager to give the gnosis away to Tsaritsa. Even though he's young, he's still a dragon sovereign, whose power was taken away by the Heavenly Principle. I'm sure he wouldn't mind seeing Celestia fall apart. A lot of the Archons seem to have issue with Heavenly Principle as well. This is shaping up to be the final confrontation right now. Traveler, Fatui, Archons, Abyss Order AND the dragons against the Heavenly Principle?

Do the Descenders come from one place outside of Teyvat? The 3rd descender's remains somehow turned into gnosis which resonate with Teyvat's elements (so this must be long before the archon war but there were no records of a 3rd Descender. I was so sure it was Alice until now). The Traveller is able to resonate with all elements somehow.

Maybe the third descender is a "third who came" or a "third throne" that fought against Celestia and died from it. Then they just skinned his/her body to make the gnosis ?

GNOSIS - 3RD descender's pieces Inside it holds the power of dragon sovereigns Neuvillette got back the powers - and Fatui still collected the Gnosis Did anyone remember when Venti gave something to Dvalin and Dvalin mentioned it being the Anemo Archon's power before the Gnosis was taken away? Does that mean Gnosis being able to entrapped the Elemental powers means Tsaritsa trying to revive or use 3rd Descender's power to counter Celestia?

Notice how this new information only reveals new mysteries? You know, like always..... God, these people would probably die if they ever write a scene that just gives us answers.

Interesting. Now if Fatui in the end successfully got all the gnoses, it still left the question on what is Hexenzirkel, Dainsleif, and Khaenri'ah is cooking. Since I don't see them actually engaged with the Fatui in any way, or I might've missed some lore. Anyway, it's great to see more things come to light.

I don't quite get it, in the story we were told that the Gnosis are the incarnations of the small power of the dragons, and now they say it's the remains of the third descended... how can it possibly relate?

Its disappointing that people are acting like furina is a disappointing character all because she wasnt the archon when she is one of the best written characters hoyo has has ever come up with for genshin so far. but all they can focus on is how its disappointing shes not a leader girlboss archon and how they dont like how neuvillette is the one with power. She played the most important role to the archon quest even if she wasnt in the flashy badass moments. Put respect on her name.

Skirk, looks like a herrscher thoo 😮😮. The place where we meet her resembles a bit of the sea of quanta. We know that honkai impact, genshin, and star rail are connected.

I think at the end of natlan archon quest we may see cryo archon herself since she got six gnosis and the final one is in natlan . At the end of the quest we may see a glimpse of final battle and in sneznaya the traveler and the cryo archon are about to take on the celestia or heavenly principles .This is where we get interrupted by the other twin and we get the flash back of khanreah and finally the end or final battle will happen

Neuvillette isnt exactly the hydro archon as most people speculated Because hes the original holder of the authority of hydro so basically hes probably stronger than the current archons with his authority back

So once our traveler gains all elements. Will he/she be sacrificedbagain to make another set of elemental Gnosis-es?

What’s interesting is the more u play the story line the more we can see that the fatui does have a noble goal to free teyvat from the heavenly principles. All the archons themselves cut off their ties to the heavenly principles after the khanrehia disaster. Which says the archons were forced to destroy it not cuz they wanted to or anything

I completely honestly think that the traveler’s sibling is the Third Descender We know the traveler is the Fourth Descender, (henceforth I am assuming the traveler is Aether) and that directly after his sister got cubed (To Teyvat, maybe Khaenri’ah? Either way a descension) he got cubed, this is enough to assume that Aether’s the Fourth, and Lumine is the Third We also know that Lumine went to Khaenri’ah, potentially even before Celestia existed? We don’t know when it was founded, so idk, that’s just a massive assumption, so what if Celestia annihilated Khaenri’ah and found Lumine and then killed her for Gnoses? I mean, the only thing I highly doubt is that Lumine is dead, because we see her alive, but we don’t even know if that’s ACTUALLY her or not. Could be a clone. Genshin is good at diverting our expectations

They did Furina dirty, giving Neuvillette the role of "guy who answers lore questions at the end of the archon quest." I have hugely mixed feelings about how this all wrapped up.

4.2 just prove some of my point on how I see the world of Teyvat, I do believe our world and the world beyond will be interconnected, doesn't have to be other Mihoyo's games such as Honkai Impact or Star Rail, it's just our fight, or rather the world of Teyvat's fight is something beyond Celestial or Descenders or even Abyss, well let me point out something then, First, Gnosis is based on 3rd bodies, how about his literal body part turned into Gnosis? that would mean Gnosis is sufficient or rather the 3rd body can withstand and resonance with elemental so well, then that would make a perfect vessel for the elemental power which transferred from 7 sovereign dragons. still doesn't explain the power of "faith" which people from the nation's faith gave power to the Archon tho, another question I suppose. Second, the Celestial is not the absolute ruler, which is an omnipotent being, they are usurpers, and they are one of the descenders, we knew that information in Sumeru, then, is there really a being that we can call a god in Teyvat? is elemental's native to this land or was it something from world beyond? we can assume there's a being/human like Skirk who uses power different from the element we know of in Teyvat, but are they native to Teyvat or a world traveler like us? what really happened between when the first celestial arrived and when the Seven first appointed? The lore drop is too much for such a small window of time, there are a lot of questions when we finally rescue Nahida, but this one is different, it's just a huge lore bomb and question yet answered, worst time more questions rather than answer.

Just a random thought, what if the 3rd Descender is our sibling? Our Abyss sibling isn't considered as a Descender, perhaps a fake? And our powers are locked away, so what if our sibling is just scattered into 7 Gnosis? Since we're siblings, are our powers connected? Like if one gets locked away, so does the other? Although that would be conflicting, as I'm pretty sure the Gnosis were already in the Archons possession before we even arrived. But I think it'd be a cool twist none the less if it didn't interfere with the current story.

Is the abyss sibling too abyss-sy for a descender title, or are they simply the fifth descender?

I haven’t kept up with the genshin story line for a while but isn’t the traveler the 4th descender of tevyat so dose that mean he’s like a gnosis himself or what😭 or it it just all the gnosis are remains of the one 3rd descender and the remains were handed off to each one of the archons

So... There were Dragons of the 7 elements ruled by Dragon King Nibelung. The first descender was the usurper who dethroned the dragons and used their primordial elements to create Teyvat and Humans. If we are the fourth, and the third is the one whose death created the gnosis. That only leaves the second. Shouldn't that be our twin? or maybe the usurper was the second descender? If so who was the first? I'm both excited and confused

Neuvillete used the gnosis to achieve full dragon powers and permachange fonataineers to humans.. but giving it away means he gave up the total authority?
