U.S. Skull Hunter thanks brother. I have started playing around with some carving as we have a lot of skulls in our garden. I have borrowed a dremel 3000 and wanted to ask your opinion on the advantages of the 4000 model over the 3000? As when it is time to by my own I do need to consider my budget closely. Also the skulls I am using are very chalky coloured and have been out in the sun for a long time. As I have not taken them through the degreasing process I see you discuss in a video I wonder if this is why it is hard for me to see my lines.
@usskullhunter
@usskullhunter 4 года назад
@@tolagan The advantage a 4000 has is just more torque and speed. You can certainly carve with a 3000 no problem though. You will just be able to work quicker with the 4000. Can you by chance send me a photo of a skull you are working on so I can see the lines you are talking about? I go by the same name on Facebook and Instagram U.S. Skull Hunter

Thank you for this tutorial, it definitely helps alot. I was just wondering, in your tutorials, your skulls doesn't look hard at all to engrave into. But when I try it it is a complete nightmare. My burrs doesn't even last through one carving. Does your skulls get prepared in such a way that they soften up? It is as if my skulls are extremely dense.

Hey Brian, Thanks for watching! Yes, so maceration works great for skulls in that condition. Hey Daniella! I don't necessarily have a set order but more often than not I do the cut out areas last. Well, nothing compares to carving skulls, but any practice is good in my opinion. You can pick up a beef bone though at most pet stores.
