We use and sell Skunk 2 products, at this point we haven't seen a true before and after using the Ultra street manifold on an NA car.
We took an already tuned GSR , it had a Skunk2 Pro series manifold.The Engine was a little tired and was down on compression. We performed a before and after to see what the real dyno numbers would show. At the end we re tuned using the Ultra street to get the best gains.
LHT Performance did the test using a Dynojet.

john and his buddy do awsome job at tuning from what i seen and hear . they can be a little pricey but they do a hell of a job . for you all saying that they are too expensive ,you get what you pay for . cant wait for you to tune my supercharged gsr .still getting rebuild as of now. see you next month :)

I'm not a Honda guy, but found this video as I was interested to see the results of a true back to back test on a plenum mod. Most of the comments regarding this video are totally 100% missing the point and reason for this test. Thanks for the info.

Whats your set up ? Just bought a stock gsr with 120k miles in. A ek All it has done are kings rod bearings king thrust washer King crank bearing And 210 compression all cylinders But I’m looking to buy a intake before a tune

Ima say this to everyone who B series N/A! Stick with OEM Integra Type R 97-01 Intake Manifold.. you will get just as much WHP for a fraction of the price.

Did you use a 74mm throttle body aswell to suit the skunk2 ultra manifold? Also a 4inch intake pipe might help

I just got a pro series intake manifold for my gsr but there is a 70mm and a 66mm throttle body wondering if there is a video of port to match videos

on a type R block with gsr head ported with stage 2 cams with super tech valves and itb's i made 215. in my integra gsr stock shell. its a nice sleeper.

How much HP did the Skunk 2 pro series give? And are intake manifold just bolt ons or is there CPU tuning required?

It said 4-5. It's a bolt on but a tune helps.

This manifold absolutely needs to be cleaned up with a ball hone to smooth it out. If you guys used the supplied thermal manifold gasket it doesnt line up for shit (on a gsr at least) and is killing power and flow. I would use a hondata thermal gasket and make sure the gasket,manifold, and head are all port matched.

Those numbers seem low with tuner 2 cams. My B18C5 with just i/h/e made 199whp on the stock cams. The c1 and the c5 aren't that much different. I'm wondering if the tuner 2 cams are basically type r replicas.

Have u guys tested the .5L Spacers for the Skunk2 ultra street series manifold? Trying to see if it makes a big difference between having 1 on or without it.

Question I have I'm going with a b20z non v and was wondering if adding a skunk 2 intake mani would benefit me?? It's going with a p28 chipped ecu and i/h/e and a stage 2 clutch. Someone told me this will hurt me on the low end torque?

this is an awesome intake Mani I Bought this same one and a 70mm skunk2 pro TB and port & polish the inside also bought a 0.5 plenum spacer for it, soon I be downloading a video wit the car on Dyno it has skunk2 stage 2cams ,skunk2 alpha flat valves & ti retainers dual springs, 82mm ctr pistons it has a few other extras can't wait to see what HP it has hopefully it makes 230 maybe 250 more than happy wit either one

+danny tapia u gonna like them in my case I didn't know much n I end up with a 13.1 compression way to much for pump gas but s2 flat valves are really nice for high compression I'm running s2 stage 2 cams & s2 alpha fv valves,dual springs to retainers

+danny tapia u know from where I take alot of advice look in to hondatech page u will find everything u need to know right there I warranty u go to googled type b20 block with b16 head n u will find hondatech forums take a look trust me a lot of guys that knows way better than me good luck wit ur setup hopefully u post a video or let me know

I have the skunk 2 pro series with alpha 70 mm t.b. Was going to buy the utra mani till i seen this looks better and thought it would add more power but for the price kinda low numbers!! 5 h.p.?? Wtf

This was a perfect example of R&D for one mani to the other. But pretty sad that you basically paid $100 per ever horsepower from one manifold to another. Those ultras are $500 so the manifold is spot on with 5hp difference

How much money was the intake? Over $1000..??? I hope it was worth 10 hp and 2 lbs of TQ the wheels.. That HP gains equals to exactly a tenth of a second in the quarter mile. LHT is one of the most expensive tuners in Pinellas County, and their custom fab work is top notch.

We sell the ontake manifold with a 70mm throttle body for $429. For full tuning including the dyno we charge $500. I don't think that's expensive for an authorised Hondata tuner.

yoed mirabal i ended up buying skunk2's own throttle bracket for that manifold and used it with the ITR cable I had. works perfectly.

yoed mirabal that's because the gsr throttle cable will only work with the stock gsr manifold because the throttle body sits lower so the gsr cable is a lot longer..gotta use the type r or 99-00 si throttle cable

That's the all motor game, expensive but this bolt on is totally reliable and they didn't make any changes to air fuel and timing. With tuning it's possible to gain 10whp over another already decent skunk2 manifold.

I can tell just by how it sounds when u put it in neutral after the pull it needs a bigger header and exhaust for sure shud be 210whp ez lookalike a type r swap too

Its the b18c1 gsr motor and its putting down a lil more than stock flywheel rated torque to the wheels so thats really good, and with the skunk2 mani replacing the factory dual runner manifold which is known to make good low rpm torq numbers and still matching or slightly bettering that torq all the way across the curve with a single runner mani is real nice. Its not a k20 or k24 making 150-190lb.ft of torque. Trust me that b18 will feel super snappy down at 3500rpm
