I just want to let you know a couple things real quick. First, there's also a do not delete in windhelm under the white phial. Second, there's an easier spot to get through the wall in the drunken huntsman. If you try to wall glitch behind the counter where the chests are it avoids the whole long route. Just make sure to angle yourself at the corner with the weapon rack towards the wardrobe on the other side of the corner and you'll be on the ledge behind said wardrobe

The chest can be used in a variety of ways... mostly because it acts like a solid object when you drop it. So when you obtain this chest... its best to get creative of the options you have with this.

@@imonke5303 in fact using those chest to get to other underground chests in windhelm you get daedric items and thousands of gold. so not a waste of time. in 15 seconds you can get a do not delete chest in white phial .

you can also use a wooden plate to get through the wall. I find it easiest with wooden plates

If you complete the quest Klimmek gives in Ivarstead you can take the supplies back from the chest and use that as well

There's an easier way the get the drunken huntsman one. Right in the area by the counter, and wardrobe if you move the jug and baskets, that wall can be breached, and they are right there. :)

For anyone wondering, even though this is an old video, the do not delete chests are used for the thieves guild quests to give you a bounty for getting caught stealing the special items and forging numbers. Even if you take them, it doesnt seem to effect gameplay at all.

What's the benefit of having them? Any caused glitches? hurt the game? Also was wondering if anyone knew about chest/container inventory quantity limit,I've noticed if I put alot of stuff in there after a certain amount it gets slow and laggy opening/closing/adding/removing item. P.s. teach me a cool trick/tip/location/item in skyrim(switch)

@@skyerayze7615 you can go under Windhelm and get underground chests that are not reachable by your companion. and use them to get other ones under other places

I actually bought it off of the war maidens guys in whiterun. It was in his Misc category of items you can buy and I have no clue what it was and haven't ever seen it in his inventory. It was like 300 gold I think lmao I figured it was apart of the special edition/ anniversary edition of the game. I did that like 45 minutes ago😂

Still Works and heres a bonus tip: When you want to do this in order to get other chests/merchant chests quickly look down, go into your inventory and drop one of the do not delete chests and it will serve as a platform.

Note that there are more than 6 or 5 just go to any place that sells items like the scorched hammer and there is a do not delete chest plus in the other smithing place in white run though this would help :3

Fun Fact: if the guards confiscate these chests and you attempt to retrieve them, you will get a buzzing wrong sound if you press "grab all"

It’s a solid chest that can’t be opened but allows the player to stand on it. This is because it has no gravity affect

I have a question. I am doing another play thru of skyrim and this has happened a couple times before but don't know what to do... I have gotten a bunch of shouts but can't use them... I thought it was because I haven't completed the main campaign or because I haven't killed enough dragons.. How can I fix this? I can't do the dragon born DLC because I need to use the bend will shout on the stones in soelstien but can't unlock it...

Make sure you have "Dragon Souls" and you have to select the shout and upgrade it or just unlock it for the first time. There is a button bound to this command, check your controls and upgrade the shout or unlock it. If that doesn't work I have no clue. :) I hope that helped.

The Spartan American Also, make sure you have completed the main quest where you are set to kill a dragon near Whiterun which can be acquired in dragonsreach.

There are many uses for these chest but the main reasons are to either get under, out, or far up with them :) glitches like the whiterun merchant chest can be done super easy with these.

When you drop them they stay in one spot; so if you get multiple you can create a bridge any where. They are also crustal in getting most merchant chests because of that same "gravity defying" effect. There gravity defying effect in itself is useful, just like the paint brushes in Oblivion.

You can do many things with them, they are basically used to get to locations in the map that you can't get to normally. For example getting out of whiterun for the merchant chest.

Go exploring out of bounds, I found a weird circle in the war quarters in blackreach. Could only be reached using the do not delete chest so yeaah, it’s nowhere near useless
