@@michael6880 I've just done that on mine ahaa there is a mod that gives you a 10sec time stop spell that has dio shout the "ZA WURDO" and then the sound from the anime plays as time stops. also comes with a Star Platinum variant.
Quite a weaksauce first dragonborn if I may say so myself. Even on Master, he's weaksauce if you're perked up and have potions out the ass. I'm running my first complete Legendary run right now (not at the beginning of course, I'd have gotten nowhere with my iron shit), so I will see if he's as weaksauce as he is on Master.
I don't have any problems myself playing on legendary difficulty. Once you max up your armor, enchant with elemental resistances and learn some restoration, you dont even need a single potion. I do think that miraak is stronger though (at least at shouting), as he can shout more frequently and knows the shout that instantly kills dragons.
@@Crabbob365imagine if that’s what he would’ve done in the unused potentially surviving thing, he saw moras betrayal coming and used become ethereal to evade death.
I like how Bethesda knew that at some point while fighting Miraak you would use unrelenting force and shout him off the edge, so they gave him the line "Did you think you could get rid of me that easily?" 😂
Seriously after I get all of soul tear, all of fire breath, all of frost breath, and summon dunehvar I pretty much never use any other shouts besides those.
@@AxisChurchDevotee I don't know if Miraak could have beaten Alduin during the dragon war, but by the time the last dragonborn emerges I have no doubt Miraak would win.
it's a weird feeling hearing someone just discover something I knew about for years. My first play through around when the game came out I was all about playing the edgiest, sneakiest, backstabbing, pickpocketing, bloodsucking, murder hobo I could be. So you know, dark brotherhood for me baaaby
@@jakegrant7663 i don't think so, basically ANY daedra can be banished, even the princes (in the lore) it would be weird if dragon blood protect him when all the power of the daedra don't protect them
@@inaciobarbosa9396 doesn't the banish daedra spell send the daedra back to their realm of oblivion. Since miraak was only seen in apocrypha, maybe he could be banished?
Nope, it's just purely for game creation convenience. Like, there's a bandit faction in the files, but it probably just makes it easier to program every bandit to do the same things, and there's no actual bandit faction in the game.
@Jacob Whitely Depends which Thanos we're talking. No stone, Power Stone, Power+Space, Power+Space+Reality, Power+Space+Reality+Soul, Power+space+reality+soul+time, all stones. I put my money on Thanos no contest Reality stone onwards. And honestly considering his physical strength without even using the stones, I'm eh on Miraak even standing a chance.
If you sleep on solstheim before clearing all the stones of miraak's influence, you will actually wake up building those structures that the ones who have been brain-washed by miraak build . I dunno if this is a fact about miraak or solstheim but a fun fact nonetheless
Gosh I've collected every item and discovered every location, I didn't think something so simple would escape my knowledge In other words I didn't know that and I think it's cool :3 good job
Knew this one VERY early on. It was easy to discover. I'll tell you something you may NOT know. If you have killed Grelod the Kind already, but not yet been picked up by Astrid, and you go to Solsthiem to sleep, Astrid overrides. That means Astrid gets to you instead of Miraak. A bit interesting given the circumstances, but it's true. Tested it, myself.
I like the alternative ending where Miraak and you join forces to escape together and he becomes a follower. And random encounters of his deadra monsters attacking you
I’m just sayin magic makes people change. Look at elder scrolls 4 man transforms into dragon, why can’t magic and the realm of apocrypha make Miraak go from basic Norse boy to terrifying corrupted balding dragon-born
It could be Dragons existed in Tamriel and Akavir long before man or mer. en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Dragons This link claims they existed in Atmora as well. Which means that the ancient Atmorans even those who came to Skyrim would have been subject to the Dovah even during Ysgramors time
@@SaeedG1999 It's completely possible Miraak served the Dovah on Atmora long before he arrived on mainland Tamriel though we would need far more info on when Miraak arrived. Though considering his original position as a dragon priest this seems highly likely.
I think it would've been dope to have the option to spare him and take him with you as a companion. He could redeem himself by helping the dovahkiin right the wrongs in Skyrim. And Imagine the first and last Dragonborn fighting side by side, how cool would that be?
Ingame. That would be good to have a Follower that can use shouts In lore that would be godlike they could Potentially Destroy tamriel if they Want so..
The whole “I could have slain him, but I chose a different path” is hilarious because he very much could not have slain alduin as he already got his ass kicker by valok and a legion of pissed off dragons lol

Welp, I already said this in another comment but screw it. _"The circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner. Now, I am the master."_
@@samb5065 I lost the chance to say "at the summit of Apocrypha" so I'll settle for this: "If you strike me down now, I will become more powerful than you could possibly imagine." It's probably not the exact order but close enough.
I remember the first time I traveled to Sovnguarde. I had just finished the companion quests and there I saw Kodlak. that was some of the best things I have seen in Skyrim. Kodlak got what he wanted and that is so sweet.
Dragonborn: Champion of most Daedra. Companion. Listener of The Dark Brotherhood. Nightingale of Nocturnal. Arch-Mage of The College of Winterhold. Wielder of all three Elder Scrolls. Has 50 dragon souls just chilling inside. Miraak:
Yep! I am also not quite convinced that he is the evil guy. In the end, he just wants to escape Apocrypha. Who could blame him after being stuck there for over 4,000 years?
I don't think it's so strange. If anything was made clear, it's that Alduin would have destroyed the world itself. If Miraak did want to conquer it, sooner or later he would have had to defeat him. Makes sense that Hakon and the others would seek him out. That he chose otherwise though, might have been old Herma Mora's doing. The Daedric Prince of Knowledge would have known the outcome through knowledge of the prophesy of Alduin, and realizing that Miraak would not be a part of it, played him into becoming his champion. None of us would put it past a Daedric Prince to twist another for their own ends. He needed a champion, and Miraak was apparently the strongest of all dragonborn. Of course, if he did know, it would mean that he also knew that there would be another dragonborn to defeat Alduin and the "friend" that keeps sending the dragonborn the location of word walls might me Hermaus Mora himself. He would have needed to make the new dragonborn strong enough to not just defeat Alduin, but Miraak as well.
@@the-annoyinator Him trying to rule the world instead of destroying it is the betrayal of his purpose. He is the World Eater, a necessary part of the cycle of life and death. He destroyed the previous world to allow the new one to be created. So, to correct that Akatosh gave humans the Voice, creating Dragonborn to stop Alduin. When you think about it, when the Dragonborn stopped Alduin, they didn't just stop Alduin from ruling, they also stopped him from his purpose - destrying this world to allow the next to be born. There's a reason why Alduin, the Firstborn of Akatosh, isn't considered evil. He's innately not when he's doing what he's supposed to.
@@dexternelson First of all, this is a RU-vid comment not reddit. No need to write a novel. And second, me saying Alduin betrayed his purpose was also referring to him destroying the world
@@the-annoyinator First of all, you're on my comment. If you didn't want to engage you shouldn't have commented. Second, RU-vid has like a 8,000 character limit or something like that. I can respond with any message length I dang well please. You don't get to tell me how to respond. And third, Alduin' purpose IS to destroy the world. That's why he's called the World Eater. He destroyed the last world so the current one could be created. His betrayal was to try and rule the world INSTEAD of destroying it.
I'll tell you all something, *Miraak is a damn hero* Imagine being born during those times, when dragons ruled, or should i say "dominated" men and Meer. Miraak did not need to rise up against the dragons as he was a middle manager overseeing the boring day-to-day business of actually governing men in his territory, but he chooses to rise up like a true gamer and attempts to give men freedom from the Dovhas. His only mistake was putting his trust in Herma Mora. The OG human long before Saint Alessia freed men from the Aylids. *See you around spacecowboy Miraak*
The Tree stone is at the centre of Solthsteim, and remember that Miraak was a respected Dragon Priest, other Dragon Priests got their own temples and tombs. It's really not as deep as Nate likes to make it seem
@@krysfilia5682 yeah, I also got a bit pissed at people when the grammar was completely shit since it’s not even hard, but on the Internet, I’ve just learned to accept it because typing keys on a keyboard is harder than writing shit down on paper
Me: *Sweats blood to kill a dragon for its soul to unlock a shout* Miraak with possibly all of the shouts and even more: "haha *zii los di du* go brrrrr"
I’m actually thinking of working on a Miraak animatic, him and my Dragonborn doing something silly for meme purposes. If he wasn’t killed off, I’d like to think that him and DB would have a sibling-like relationship. That is, if I actually get off my ass and do it
God, always love the idea of those two just being siblings. LDB: Dad, Miraak stole my dragon souls again! Miraak: Well it's not my fault your a weak Dovah! Akatosh: Should have stopped with Martin... Or Miraak: They ruined my dream journal! LDB: I did not! Father Akatosh, send him to Apocrypha and have him expelled! Akatosh: What the fuck are you on about!??
If you use "bend will" on Miraak enough times - he won't be hostile to you anymore. Hermy will get upset with you and that's when the "extra" dialog is used.
Nintendork - apparently - although i haven't tried myself. Mad Kangaroo has a video about this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SoHSKXm1sl8.html
Love that mod. Perfect way to flip of Cthulhu. Sadly there's no mod for punching him out. ...Yet. Someone should make it happen! I'll pay you in back rubs!
The tree stone actually isn't unusual, If you think about it Miraak is trying to return to tamriel, he's trying to return to where he came from, he's trying to return to his roots or the earth, The Tree is usually a symbol of returning or growing back, etc.
I'm not really sure I'd say Mirrak is all that evil (especially compared to everything else) so I don't think the ancient nords reaching out to him is all that weird. "He's revolting against the dragons, we're revolving against the dragons. Seems legit."
Hey Nate, about the Tree Stone? What if... The temple is a house. A Tree house. Built by Miraak, Dedicated to Hermaeus Mora. Who is the daedric lord of books. Which are made of paper.... Which are made of? 🤔 !!!
He aint the daedric lord of books, hes the daedric lord of knolege(im not english, i know i buchered knolege) and if you speak enough with the skall you learn that he actually stole all the knolege and books he could and put it in apogrypha
“ Do you get to the cloud district very often ? , oh what am i saying of course you don’t “ I wonder what would Mirraak had to say if Nazeem told him that .. 🤔
His temple being at the Tree stone is likely a reference to Viking Mythos. The serpent/dragon Nidhogg lives around and gnaws at the roots of Yggdrasil, the world tree. Oddly enough, Alduin is also often associated with Nidhogg as well, since he feeds on the souls of the dead and bears the title of World-Eater.
Of you collect all shouts before meet with him, he also comment in that... He says that he sees you are in full power... And he cames also on full power
4:57 What is usually referred to as "Nord" is the modern race that lives today and has existed for some centuries, realistically not genetically the same as Miraak's because he was born *thousands* of years ago. His race can be _called_ "Nord" because of uninterrupted culture, but racially speaking he's probably an ancestor to Nords not more nor less than he is an ancestor to the other human races.
@Zachary Kirkeby doesnt mean he isnt the first anymore though. Id i go and make a book about discovering gravity, i still wouldnt be the first. Someone whos dead did(i forgot his name)
Alright, I just discovered this secret that I've scoured the internet for and absolutely no one has found it...when herma-mora kills miraak and you drag his body to the edge of the summit and drop his body, a portal of tentacles will appear right below his body halfway through the fall and claim him, i tested this with Miraak's sword/Firstblade when it still said "search: miraak" , and the portal didnt appear, I loaded the save, killed miraak once more and threw in the blade first, still no portal, I wanted to get a second opinion so I spawned some old orcs, killed them and threw them in, still no portal, I got another opinion and thought "maybe it's because their code isn't meant to be in apocrypha", so I cast the spell raise zombie on Sahrotaar and ever so slowly shot him off the edge, still...NO PORTAL, so I think it is safe to say that I uncovered a hidden detail that is not mentoned ANYWHERE else on the internet (not even the wiki or fandom, or uesp!!!) I will post a video on it tomorrow on tiktok @brice_robinson2x5
You forgot that if you use 'Bend Will' on Miraak repeatedly during your battle, he will eventually be friendly to you. Herma will attack him anyway, and you'll then have a choice of fighting next to him to defend him. If you're successful in defending him, he'll choose to stay behind anyway.
I've been binging your videos and it's rekindled my love for this game. Although I wanted to point out your use of the word "alas". I've noticed a few times that you seem to use it the same you might use the word "however", but it's more like "unfortunately". Just thought I'd let you know in case someone else didn't. I love the videos! Awesome visuals, great thorough information and the voice over is clear, easy to understand and charismatic.
