I love this! I see variations of my grandma and grandpa in the clothes, hairstyles and the way they say things. It was a different time when people had retirements and could get a way with the nicer rigs of the time. The salton sea was once a big vacation destination unlike the disaster it is now. This video makes me miss my grandparents!

It is a different world than that. Life was a whole lot simpler. Middle age was 40. Much less paths and choices were available. I think the video showed having fun being older, living for companionship.

Dang, that was a straight up view of what a community working together looked like. They laid down such sweet energy for the slabs.

I wish I had known the Slabs back then, they looked like a lot of fun!!! I feel that there is still a sense of freedom and community, that’s why I’m here.

Dang is this the 80s or the 40s?

There will never be old people like this again. Most folks that get old today are people who have had a lifetime drug habbit. Many older folks today are alot less sharper and carry the burden of a society in complete decline. These folks here grew up in a tough world, which in turn made them tough. Today, all we have is a sick world and people just follow that model. The Lack of jobs, a huge growth of numbers and drugs has shaped people in a way that has made them lazy than the older generations. People of power can change the world for the better. They have the money 100X over, but they are caught up in their own drug of making more money. They are trapped in a real life monopoly set and the buzz of watching their numbers grow higher in their accounts, is cutting them off from a living reality. They are incapable of appreciating anything with real life meaning or beauty. Sad sad sad. This is just the view from were I'm sitting anyway.

The Meth and other narcs and weed would have been there, well hidden from camera. No solar yet, batteries, gas, candles, generator if your rich. Paraffin lamps, coal in winter in woodburners. Good time to travel. The style here could easily be 60s by their clothing, no dresses for men yet. The same dentistry care as now. Brilliant piece of history this video. Oh, the couple crushing cans, he was pissed , this was my favourite bit.
