Holy shit dude! You said “Baba Yaga” properly. Out of all the reactors you are the first one to pronounce it like a true Slav! Give this man some pirogi, ushanka and vodka!
@@naicheben8289 Baba Yaga bone leg, iirc. That or chicken leg, but I think the first is right. Did a little Russian in college, but I could be misremembering.
I wonder if alex has had any legitimate requests to do a zoom call to dicuss his style n everything like Mark did with Dickey. Or rather everyones too scaded of him lol
@@t.muller825 actually he's not so nice. It's often he's being extremely rude to people on russian social media. He can't properly take any critics and sometimes he was ever rude to his fans. Not mentioning he almost never responded to people and had friendly conversations or even answered questions they had for him.
This band is beyond great It just needs more exposure and the russian goverment has to losen Up with their ability to travel outside their borders . Clearly they LOVE their country and show It proudly.
I can already see an Alex Terrible collab in the future. Only thing is, Mark would have to fly to Russia and both of them are gonna go into the wilderness and start growling. And yes...... The bear will join them too💀

первый кто хотя бы хоть как то сказал правильно баба ягА с правильным ударением, остальные говорят баба Яга, аж по ушам режет как русскому человеку, спасибо
@@davidpapezs5654 I prefer Agony's breakdown over Demolisher's for the different sound. Don't get me wrong though, I love Demolisher's breakdown simply just cause of the brutality it has but Agony is a more interesting song to me
Текст песни на английском -- Lyrics in English [Intro] Blood we drunk, flesh we ate That was a core of the innocent hate Blood we drunk, flesh we ate Love through the pain, nothing but fate [Verse 1] Just look at what your card says Tonight you stay awake and see horrors The horror’s upon you, a steel sound pierces you There’s a lot of talk about us, don’t run from fate In fact, they know me And know it’s best not to cross me And they scare the children with my voice They foolishly tried to break my spirit [Bridge] Unsuccessfully Alright, let’s talk, bitch [Verse 2] What and who makes the person pay? You have a problem, boy? Pay up, bitch Baba Yaga is coming for you You better run, run, run, run What and who make the person dead? You have a problem, boy? Pay up, bitch Baba Yaga is coming for you You are fucked, enjoy [Chorus] I can’t stand your promises and words, I’m done and sick Sharpening me teeth, sharpening my teeth, run, let’s play hide and seek And I can’t stand your promises and words, I’m done and sick They’re hiding children, they’re crying, cry, I feel all this shit [Verse 3] Just look at what your card says Don’t believe your sixth sense, it’s fucking bullshit How many zeros are there? Tran-transfer it You know my nickname? Learn it, remember Just look at what your card says Run or not, but Yaga’s watching How much did the percentage go over there? I’m Baba Yaga, have you absorb it? [Chorus] I can’t stand your promises and words, I’m done and sick Sharpening my teeth, sharpening my teeth, run, let’s play hide and seek And I can’t stand your promises and words, I’m done and sick They’re hiding children, they’re crying, cry, I feel all this shit, oh [Post-Chorus] I’m Baba Yaga This is your hell, made for you Let’s play hide and seek [Breakdown] Baba Yaga, the Bony-legged Sharpens her teeth, wants to eat children Baba Yaga, the Bony-legged The nose sticks into the ceiling, who am I? Baba Yaga, oh [Outro] Blood wе drunk, flesh we ate Blood we drunk, flesh we ate

@@cognitivedisruption5375 yeah, because the times they have been in the US or that part of the Planet they get visas for 2 weeks tops and they can not tour soo long.
Why does nobody ever mention the fact that dude literally had a bear chewing on his arm lol there are a couple super short clips of him doing those lows in the bears face, it’s the most Russian thing I have ever seen 😆
I knew of it lol.i actually told him to be more careful.he got it,he knew I wasn't being crappy.that was very risky, and if he gets fucked off, there would be a void few if any could fill.we want him to have a long and successfull career.that said,it was still bad ass if you know about it,absolutely Russian as hell lol.
Dude, I've been subbed to you for about a year ish? Putting a clip of the video in the beginning but removing the music audio? Genius. Video editing, content, and everything else has just gotten better over time
Love the direction Alex is taking his voice. I know some ppl dont like the cleans in this but I love them. As a vocalist myself having more range is always a good thing and I already love the way it sounds. Hopefully they keep putting out more like this and keep working on this new dope diverse sound
I am definitely one of those that's not a fan of his cleans on this. It's hard to really describe it. I enjoyed his use of cleans on his project with Scumsters, but the cleans on this album just make me cringe. And this is coming from someone that was super hyped about this album dropping.
Oh yeah! you are the only foreign vocalist who says the word "yaga" correctly! I really liked your review of Alex's vocals! if I could translate at least half of what you say, it would be cool at all! and like a subscription and hello from Russia!)))

There is a good question about russian roulette in the clip, gun (revolver) hold 6 bullet space, only one is vacated by bullet, so what the chances to get bullet 4 times in row ? Not likely, unless it FATE, the are cannibals, murders, bastards (after third dead body Alex just decide to end it, however many times you spin the cylinder, you ALWAYS get a bullet, it's a FATE. P.S: On the side note, Alex voice range getting GOD level, can't wait next song with mix of VERY LOWS and VERY HIGHS. A fan from Russia.
thank you for a very professional and competent analysis of the masterpiece of the Russian Death Machine! Alex is a growling diamond. cannibals in an abandoned house, a bear, a tank, russian mafia, vodka, russian roulette-these are all memes about Russia in a brutal feed, there is no point, there is a fist of aggression and testesterone
Thank you for keeping me inspired to practice. I want to get back into creating music again. I can't afford equipment at the moment but at least I can keep practicing my vocals. My current guitar sucks, my mic recently stopped working, I have a lot of work to do to get where I want. I gave up for a while but you have given me the confidence to keep trying. Once I'm in a better position in life I would love some lessons. Good things come to those who wait. There's something heavy in my soul waiting to crawl out. I'm not complaining, I feel like the struggle makes the music more real. As usual, your analysis gave me a lot of insight. I've watched your videos for a while mostly on my main channel. You're a great teacher and I appreciate what you do. Keep it real my dude. I wish I could afford to support you on Patreon but I'm barely feeding myself at the moment. Thank you again.
Thank you so much Mark for giving such an in depth breakdown on his low growls. The past few weeks I've really been trying to push myself to keep my lows super open to get this kind of sound. I cant get anywhere close to the monstrous tone Alex has but its been really helpful for figuring out my own voice trying to mimic this sound
I actually died when you said about your Russian friend callin you грязная свинья, no offense just made me laugh 😆 keep up the great work and yeah, Alex just won metal
For me personally, this was a logical step from Demolisher (atleast from Alex's perspective)...His high and low growls were already on an insane level, so working on his cleans makes sense OH ans the song totally slaps, BTW xD
He's really not. Like, Alex's cleans are just fine, but Corey is the whole package, an amazing vocalist, an amazing screamer, an amazing musician and lyricist. Alex is only one of these things lmao
@@nikodemvankenobi his improvement is commendable and DW68 said "he's on track to overtake Corey Taylor at this rate" on track means closing the gap in this instance, which Alex is definitely doing.
@@wwyd4akb He might be closing the gap, but the if the gap is beginning in New Jersey and wrapping up in Warsaw, he ain't edging out anyone. Corey, is a vocalist. Alex, is a screamer. If you actually think, after listening to Corey's Slipknot, Stone Sour and Solo work, that Alex is on some level comparable, then I really don't know what to tell you.
I get heavy Slipknot vibes every time I listen to STP. Especially early Slipknot(Self titled "Slipknot" album, Iowa, and Volume 3: The Subliminal Verses)
Beyond Deviation 400 world record track. 400 vocalists, 37 minutes long. Just came out. I feel that you would have a field day with this. Hope to see you make a video for this one! Cheers from AZ.
@@kevinperri93 He could do something like a 2 or 3 part video series on it. Since it would be alot of work, he could also do it for hitting like 90k subs or something like that.
This man makes so much sense... I’ve thought I’ve been fooled by voices like Alex, like it came from post production. It’s pure talent from the voice which is nuts 😳👌
When you mentioned Alex’s projection I remembered that sometimes when they preform demolisher, he actually doesn’t use the mic when saying “demolisher”. explains why in the music video he gets the crowd to be silent for that bit
Awesome break down of the new Slaughter to Prevail song! Could you do break down another Whitechapel song with Phil's clean vocals??? Such as Bring Me Home or Hickory Creek?
The reason you're my favorite reaction channel... You're not strictly for clicks. You obviously share your feelings about the vocals, but you take more time to educate and help hopeful singers. Which is why you kick the assiest of asses. 👍 You're the shit dude.
I’ll be honest, the part where you talked about making more resonant, low sounds really gave me a light bulb moment. You mentioned opening your throat with a sort of yawn, and I noticed that this is extremely similar to how opera singers get the more open, resonant notes they are so known for, it comes from a very open throat while singing. I think this shows how if you try to learn different styles of singing and vocal techniques, it can carry over into other styles just from understanding what is going on. Awesome vid, man
Awesome The Office reference half way thru the video, love these reactions you do. I've been learning alot from you just from watching you a couple times. Thanks man!
I've been binging this song's reactions all day, starting with Tank the Tech's channel. I appreciate the variety on knowledge you and he have, where you have the singing and he has the gear. This song is my introduction to Slaughter to Prevail, and my first time truly appreciating, and liking, this guttural singing style (deathcore?). Thank you for your channel, and the knowledge you impart. I may need to find more of there music, and would love a starting point.
Good I waited for your reaction. I loved your break down of demolisher. Very informative on how he makes the sounds happen. You can hear you know your shit haha
This just shows that heavy metal can unite people from all parts of the world and it speaks a universal language. Love the channel and respect the education and promotion of this type of music.
I doubt people ask for this very often but I would love to hear you walk through Literally anything from Beartooth and explain it more in depth. Love the videos.
Hey, I absolutely love your videos, I've been watching you for a few years now. Do you find that Alex Terrible has some excellent vocal tones that are reminiscent of Corey Taylor in the early Slipknot days? Even some of their riffage reminds me of Slipknot for some reason. His spoken-word-style singing parts hearken back to nu-metal. I sometimes wonder what the formative nu-metal and death metal bands would think of modern metal today. What an amazing time in metal and rock in general! Thanks for your videos, nobody breaks it down like you! You're a true resource.
i have tried to get those gutturals feeling good for a long time. just getting this jawning hint improved it by a FRICKIN MILE in an INSTANT! Thanks so much!!
That was the most badass Dwight quote I've ever heard! I don't even really listen to most of the music you analyze and I certainly can't sing just enjoy the content! Keep it up!
"You know, frick it" lol, love it. Also dude, I feel like you're being super humble when you say things like "Obviously I'm not going to sound close to him" etc or that type of stuff, your lows are also ridiculous if I do say so my self, also love your highs and "tunnel throat" sounds, they're amazing. Would be absolutely insane if you collaborated someday with Alex.
you're incredible breaking down all these things he does. when you explain it, it sounds so easy! hahaha hope i can take lessons with you someday! greetings from Brazil!
it's honestly fuckin awesome to hear you break down how everything works. i was in choir and musicals for years but have always loved deathcore and the different screams you can do. keep the vids coming man. also i know the songs are kinda old but revisiting some of the deathcore from the mid 00's would be really cool to see. like suicide silence's the cleansing album, whitechapel's the somatic defilement, Job for a cowboy, rose funeral, or any others you can think of from the era. would be cool to hear your thoughts on how it's evolved as a genre and how the vocal techniques of some singers have evolved as well.
It wouldn’t be so bad if you went back and re-listened to some parts for more clarity. We all know a lot of pausing sucks but you have great insight into vocals and we all, very much, appreciate it! 🤘🔥
as a beginner i think its great when a vocalist can sound like another, i know i loved it when i could start hittin gutterals like corpsgrinder, but i think its even better when one can take that inspiration and mold it to make their own sound and style and evolve as a vocalist
