they should add another leather helmet option for fighter, maybe the druid helmet could also be used by fighter or something, having just the leather cap is rough sometimes for gearing
Maybe one day us slayers will get rewarded for swinging our offhand weapons. Before they were just stat sticks to make your falchion/arming sword hit harder and faster, and now you don't even use offhands, it's just lanterns everywhere. Let the two weapon fighters fight with both weapons!
stilletto is a great counter for sheild users as no one expects you to attack with a daggger when you have a falchion same if you come across longsword they will hold block expecting falch attack allowing you 3 quick shots to the head
For anyone who doesnt like the crossbows sloggyness (slow movement, long reload), use weapon mastery instead of the projectile defense passive, equip a hand crossbow with a dagger (lowest movementspeed malus of all primary weapons), that way the hand crossbow actually benefits from slayer and gains 5 extra weapon damage. ( I tested it ingame and it works) With my set (pretty ok with a bunch of + damage and a bit of strength) my hand crossbow deals 40 dmg. The big crossbow is definitely "better" and more meta, but I prefer the playstyle of hand crossbow sooooo much, maybe you do too.
Two reasons. Firstly, lanterns are the only offhand that give no move speed penalty, which is very important for slayers. Secondly, even if you aren't using a lantern, you almost never want to actually swing your offhand weapon. In terms of damage it just can't compete with your primary weapon, and so the secondary is basically just there to activate your perks and potentially give your primary weapon extra weapon damage or something if you have nice rolls. But man I really wish it was worth using both, I wanna actually dual wield, not just have a cosmetic second sword lol
yeah all of this. if you only use your primary anyways and dont like the short range of shortsword then lantern is best since it still gives slayer, and has no movementspeed malus + actually gives an action speed bonus (and can have stats on it)
