This video is fucking awesome, it sounds brutal and the air moving their hairs looks really cool, Araya sounds insane in the chorus and Hanneman and King in the solo simply are gods, R.I.P Hanneman
The BEST fuckin version of this MASTERPIECE. Sounds BRUTAL, RAW and dirty, pure old school. The wind gives a special touch to this version hahaha. It´s a shame that the intro isn´t complete :(
I was at this gig. Despite it being mid afternoon which seemed a really weird time of the day to have Slayer on I shoved on with 2 taller mates as close to the front as I could get. At some point about 40 meters from the front at 5' 1" and 8 stone wet through I realized I was likely the smallest bloke by about a foot and 6 stone! Watched an awesome set whilst genuinely fearing for my life! At the same gig a thunder storm broke out in the middle of the Skid Row set an a falling speaker missed Seb Bach by about 3 inches. He never dropped a note. Iron Maiden headlined again and were actually ok for once! Finished the night off sleeping in the back of someone young ladies car and much to my surprise found I hadn't shagged her the following day. She made decent bacon butty though. Strange but wonderful day :-)
Reading comments on metal related videos is the most funny thing to do!🤣 Metal fans have the best sense of humor, last night I almost died reading comments on Corpsegrinder interview...
I live near Donnington Park (10 miles, 16km) and people near me don't realise that it's an iconic music venue. Most people know the place as a race track and nothing else. It's a place where so many massive bands have played live.
@1201zj Correct on all counts. Kerry is the one who uses proper scales- namely the harmonic minor scale and phrygian mode when soloing. For some reason, people fail to see that.
@avfcmickdaly They were on third after The Almighty and WASP. It was then Thunder and Skid Row before Maiden played. And Bruce Dickinson said on BBC Radio before the gig that he thought it was great to have a band like Slayer on the bill. I was there too.
@timboslayer Yeah, it is great to have Slayer on the same bill but the fact is that Slayer can truly blow a lot of bands right off the fucking stage and there is just nothing anybody can do about it.
yes MTV USED to play this stuff. but look at this crown. even it is the intro they fucking MOVE like a wave. nowadays - nothing happends on festivals :(
@avfcmickdaly your wrong, there was 6 bands at donington this year, The Almighty opened followed by Wasp then Slayer then the awful Thunder followed by Skid Row then Iron Maiden.
