It definitely would have liked some videos of you doing the actual work. I mean it helped a little but left me with a lot of questions. I think being able to watch videos with the explanation is what makes videos more helpful than a user manual.

Glad I could help! They actually look great too which is an added bonus! $1700 is soooo much money for a window, for me I ended up spending around $750 for BOTH exterior windows and BOTH sliding glass windows
At least in my county, you’re not required to have both per se (you can install a unit that has a sliding window already equipped). But I found it way more wallet-friendly to purchase separately and then install together if that makes sense

It’s been a couple of years since this video, so wondering about if you have had any issues pertaining to window cracking when driving over last years ?
Doing the installation and having trouble with the lock. Any tips? We have the pieces screwed on but it isn't locking when we shut it. Not sure if we did it wrong, but we don't have any instructions.
This videos are great, I have a company that build food trailers and another option to this windows can be the mobile home aluminum sliding windows, that you can get at your local mobile home store and they usually are about 80 to 100 bucks they can go up to 150 depending on size if you need something bigger
I’m doing a Hawaiian shave ice trailer. I’m in Ohio and I realize the requirements probably differ. But I built my own concession window with wood and plexi, rubber seals and hydraulic (for opening and closing) crossing my fingers that will pass.

At min. 1:05 you mentioned the code requirements of sealing "from the outside", I didn't quite understand this, and if it was your awning or your window, or both that fullfilled the code requirements. Thank you for your help :) I want to install an oversized, home grade, double hung window, with tempered glass. It can be locked from the inside like any standard window. The catch is that I don’t want to install an exeterior awning of any kind. Do you know if that is permitted? I'm in Volusia county, Florida.
That’s a great question. I have seen several food trucks/trailers in Polk county that have the exact setup that you’re talking about. I would double-check with your DOPBR to ensure that it’s ok for Volusia. For me, I had to just ensure that it could be secure while in service, did not necessarily need an awning.
So a year later now, is this home window still working well on your food truck? Any concerns? Does it slide easily? I'm about to this phase myself. I've looked at a few horizontal sliders too. I hope you're selling a lot! Thanks for your time.
Yes sir they are still holding up great!! Still slides super smooth and operates perfectly! We are just awaiting final inspection and we will be rolling! Hope you’re doing well and can’t wait to see your progress! God bless! 🙏🏻
Mine is around the metal frame to give me an extra couple of inches of clearance for the handle. I have seen others that are flush mounted though but have different windows. With this Vevor unit, you’ll probably need the extra clearance
Hey! I am looking at doing a vinyl window like you but I am concerned that it will be to heavy as I go down the road. Have you taken yours on the road yet to test the windows out?
Awesome!! Yes I’ve taken mine out a few times now and had zero issues at all (and I live in the country so the roads aren’t smooth!). Also bare in mind that the stainless tables will slide underneath giving them even more support.
My plan is to add some “L” brackets between the surfaces of my tables and the vinyl windows as well - just to be extra EXTRA cautious. Hope this helps!
That’s awesome! Typically the window is fitted to the passenger side, but I’ve seen trailers with them on both sides before depending on the layout. I’d suggest the bigger the better (or use multiple) the more the customers can see what’s going on inside, the better
If you don't mind me asking all in all what do you think on average you spent , minus the trailer for the concession window set up, walls and ceiling? & For Florida do you have to put electrical in can it run off a generator? When I say I'm on a budget , I'm on a budget LOL!
Not at all! If I had to ballpark, I’d say I’ve probably spent around $2,500-$3,000 on top of the $3k that I spent on the trailer itself. (Baring in mind $800 was on the hood that I just purchased - video coming soon). For me personally, I’ll be able to run via generator or shore power with this setup. It’s tough on a budget but if I can help in any way I’ll be more than happy to!
