I wanted to personally thank you for putting your experience out there. It has been very comprehensive and your story is a TRUE testimony of what happens when you stick to the script no matter what!
I feel your pain I went through this in 2017 while my mom was dying. I was so numb for 2 years!! Now I’m married to a beautiful woman that showed me there’s light at the end of the tunnel!!
I recommend grease/splash guards on the outside 2 top and griddle. 1 safety. 2 prevents splatter and spillage. Isolate radiant heat. If you install so they detach they are easy to pop off and clean. Good luck!
Hello warrior, congratulations on the endeavor! I'm from Brazil and I have a barbecue food truck and grilled burgers, the work is hard but the rewards will come! Faith in God and move forward!
I ❤ the transparency! Similar matter here & I came across your channel last wk, while I’m about to start my build out, that has been a wish from many yrs back. What I heard was determination, grit, and perseverance. And the evidence of things hoped for. It’s a beautiful thing, when blind faith becomes a reality. Congrats🎉
Thank you so much for your amazing feedback! It certainly has taken a whole lot of determination but it’s definitely been worth it! Thank you so much for your awesome comments, I truly appreciate your support!

I feel for you brother I'm 60 and I lost my job two years ago I had bought a food trailer before I lost my job I lost a son and my wife lost her father a year later I wanted to start my BBQ food trailer here my in-laws land but my mother in-laws has not let that happen plus I had health issues and etc. So I'm still trying to find a way to start my trailer I have been in construction my whole adult life but I always wanted to cook for a living so just wanted to share that I feel what you went through.
EXCELLENT Video... (a little long) but still great. Question: ... What or whom are you look at when you talk in this video? Are you watching yourself in the viewfinder? It would be nice if you LOOKED at your audience (look into the lens of your camera) that way we feel you are Talking to US... not off camera. I appreciate this great video, I am retired now (68 ) and want to have a Food Truck with my Acting Studio and have Mystery Dinner Theatre and a (wine/beer) Dessert Bar.
Great pointers! I’m still fairly new to the whole RU-vid arena so tips like this are awesome! I’ll be sure to try and look at the camera (instead of off-camera) usually it’s because I’m a little nervous of being on camera!! Thank you so much for your support and wishing you the best of luck in your food truck journey!
Great question - prices have certainly risen astronomically since I purchased mine. I found mine on Facebook marketplace and paid right around $3k for it. It’ll depend on if you’re willing to take a used one, or a brand new trailer. You may still find a hidden gem on Facebook marketplace?
Hi I have old food truck.how I can install stove burner. Attach with table .from where I can get these joint what you call them.can you explan.or give me name.from where I can get those.pls let me know thanks
hey dan i also live in florida and was thinking of starting a food truck but i don’t know the proper channels to get started what are all the licenses and permits needed to start?
Great question! Best advice I can give you is to reach out to the FL DPBR. I started with Plan Review, LLC etc. DPBR are super responsive via email! Hope this helps!
Enjoy the videos - Dan I have a quick question about tables and the equipment. Did you weld the table to the trailer and/or the equipment to the table or adhere them in some way?
Great question! Not yet - however I will be bolting to the ground using the flange feet and also securing to the side wall using some heavy duty “L-Brackets” (same ones as I used on the 3 compartment sink). I will also be bolting the tables to each other just for extra security, using some HD bolts and nuts. Hope this helps!
The equipment cool I'm here for the story it's motivation got custody of my 2 kids love them to death an a lady by my side to getting my truck my birthday day next year keep going
Amazing feedback thank you so much! Your kids must be lucky to have you and sounds like you’re also lucky like me to have a strong woman right behind you. I wish you all the best of luck and if I can help in any way just reach out!

Most prep will be done at our approved commissary, but if necessary, we will allocate a station/table for cutting meat etc in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations. Hope this helps!
Hi Dan , question ... have you fired up your griddle yet and if so do you like it. I have a 36in but may have to sell it and go with a 24in so that it will all fit under my 8ft hood . i did buy the same broiler you have . Let me no please as i may purchase the same griddle you have. thanks Robert
Hey Rob! Haven’t fired it up yet as I’m waiting on a full plumbing inspection but I will for sure post an update as soon as I do! The griddle has pretty good reviews online so I am hopeful that it’ll serve me well!
@@poormansfoodtruckif someone is importing equipment from another country but of commercial grade , how do we proof here that equipment is according to nsf or etl ?
Great question! I purchased the trailer around March/April of 2021 so been going at it a little over a year and a half now! It’s been a slow process but it’s been worth it!
@@poormansfoodtruck I wish you good luck man. Am in Texas, not sure where you are from. I can join you and help you in building it, if it helps you in any manner.
Funny did skip door.dahs all.that.i lost my.jib n now my car f skip door.dahs is at least they care. I odnt get to do uber but i woked till 330 am.every day. Loved my.jib but no respect for.skip.left
Way too much talking. You can definitely tell he did not write down what he wanted to talk about! 😂 Rambling for the first 15 minutes; still never explained the pros & cons of cooking with propane or electric. He just showed off his equipment on his truck 🛻. Great audio & visual quality but title the video correctly
Great question - I have iron flanges that will be installed to the feet on the equipment once my fire suppression system is installed! Video will come shortly!
