0:05 Mustang Mk 1A isn't identical to US - stang. UK - stang is 15kph slower, but has 70hp more at altitudes when both start to lose power. So at those altitiudes UK - stang only 5kph slower. US - stang is just better.
It's compensating a bit the higher drag of the UK stang. When they have the same power, US one is 15kph faster, and this gap gets smaller thanks to extra hp at higher alts.
@@rainsilent If you want to get specific, the marginal difference is that the US version has better linear energy retention and the UK version at altitude will have slightly better climb, acceleration and hence maneuvering energy retention(better sustained turn). But we're talking about the same plane here at the end of the day, if you compare it to the other aircraft they fly pretty much the same.

Recently got back into WT, needed huge amounts of SL. I've had the Mustang MkIa for years now, and I've been taking it out a lot recently. Goddamn, is it a lot of fun and really whacks planes out of the sky, I've made bank with this thing. It's functional enough and comfortable enough to just work generally reliably most of the time. The engine overheat hurts if you get in a longer fight though; MEC barely keeps the engine from committing die. I've bought the MB.5 during the sale, which is just the Mustang MkIa on steroids. Quad Hispanos, fast in a straight line, and abuse that to the max. Weird as hell plane to fly, don't recommend it for everyone, but I've been having fun in it also.
MB5 is a pretty serious plane especially now that it's 5.0. It can actually outdogfight the G55S believe it or not when on equal energy. And it has great acceleration so it could always disengage from slower planes.
i think the onlu downside to this thing is its guns, hear me out the guns are good but they fire faster than the amount ammo it carries so do your best not to hold down the fire button longer than half a second or more but, other than that, the plane is really good and flies like a dream
"Hispanos are pretty good now" Fun fact for anyone who didn't know. For something like 5/6 years there was a bug in WT where the latest modification for the hispanos would actually reduce accuracy and increase jam speed. After all those years they finally fixed it like 6 months ago and hispanos greatly improved.
@@Blitzcreeper239 It’s fixed! №4 + Update 12.05.2021 (2.5.1.123) It literally took Gaijin from the release of the game until 2021 to realize that hispanos are bugged and the latest modification does exactly the opposite of what it's supposed to
Also the SAPI rounds got fixed. Before WTs engine used to treat the shell as a 20mm Ball round. Since the Shvaks, B20s, 23mms got buffed, and hispano bug fixed they gave it in-game values of an actual API round so it's much more likely to set fires now, making the Air Targets belt more usable.
Just bought this thing. Really liking it so far , and it's refreshing to go down a couple of tiers because i am not ready for early jets at all. Great guns , decent speed , decent turn rate and it has been earning me a ton of SL so no regrets :)
Probably my most favorite mustang, simple because of the guns, cannons are just great. The climb rate is pretty bad, but at 3.3 I feel it's tolerable if you only climb to 2-3km because most players are inexperienced and impatient and don't climb much. Also yes, I'd like to see some bike gameplay. I'd like to hear how you handle the lack of weaponry (cars kinda just destroy you in ramming engagements, pretty unfair imo) and whether sideclimbing is a viable tactic in it.

someting i noticed on early mustang and p47s is when u put prop pitch at 80% only at alow alt and abt 500kmh u can go whole lotta faster than at 100% prop
If you feel like flying another low-tier P-51, you should make a video on the C-10, since apparently the average player can't figure out how to fly it and gaijin keeps it undertiered.
It's most likely due to it only having 4 .50 cals, as can be seen in any tree, the planes with the better guns usually are overtiered or just mega uptiered versions of their lesser armed variants. I like the plane for its flight performance and all, but I really dislike the weaponry (don't really like .50s in general), lotsa crits and killing a single plane takes too much energy as result, I can't make it work myself at least sadly.
@@TheLazyKat It's so god damn fast that staying alive is super easy. The only legitimate threat to it is the 4.7 La-7. The C-10 outruns everything else that it can't outturn, and it outturns some stuff it outruns too. Almost all my deaths in it are either due to my shit ability to roll out of head-ons or being the last one on my team. The plane would be fine at 4.3 honestly

Man a lot of these BR changes don't make sense, also I really hoped the banshee would be moved to 7.7 (literally was a proposed BR change last time) except this time it's going to 8.3, well good news tho: it won't struggle against Su-11s anymore but it will face the Lightning F6 that will move to 9.3. Gaijin man... why... sabredogs moving down and 104G moving up tho, good thing.
Thanks for this. I am trying to get the wind section of the battle pass challenge and wow things feel so much more different than way back when. I heard people don't really climb unless they have a good climbrate and can be close to on equal terms, is that true? Seems like it. I was thinking I had to spade and get through the S.199 and that was just a horrible experience. Turns out I only needed 8/10 nations and the system didn't trigger to let me know I had made it. I learned to not climb in that. But I also bought the Pyorremyrsky and apparently it doesn't climb well either. I side climbed a little, and an am6 just was having his way, and by the time I would spiral and get him to break off, as he wouldn't be a dope, a 335 swooped in and I just don't really know what to be doing. Seems like I should try to get the easy kills which are the ones that climb and prop hang for bombers, but if I wait too long to take on the climbers, I will die pretty fast. Maybe I should just take a meta plane? Well into your archive I dive. Thanks
How did he keep his engine temps at 92 and 123 with constant WEP? Is it just a replay bug in the first video, or is there some method to moderate temp that I'm not aware of?
13:40 if it gets some traction you could get a setup similar to tedward, binaural audio and head mounted camera but yeah would def watch it for some vlogs and non wt stuff (sending it around the dutch tooj when the federal agents aren't paying attention to the watchtlist)
Damn I remember this thing being 3.7 for the longest time, you had to really get creative when you got uptiered since you'd get your shit kicked in by the italians when turning and the g-6 would just run circles around you. I have to give it a go again soontm

@@delfinenteddyson9865 I certainly was not expecting it up here. I even climbed an additional 450 meters from my long range bomber spawn and its still a common occurence to get intercepted in air RB, somehow. Infact, if I dont go into a slight decend, I get intercepted before I can drop my bombs.

Iv noticed there are two kinds of players , ones that play like defyn using strengths vs weakness , then there are people that just see are target and point up or down and turn around 😂😂 if you know what I mean . It took me like half a year to fully grasp the merge and energy fighting .

Yep, all game play is changing in dynamic lately. Seems like most just race for a single kill, trade and go again. It is really annoying. Not sure if it is due to the economy changes or not, but I definitely see it from the tank main players playing air rb for some SL, even outside of the Ju288 spam. Speaking of, would you think that allowing more than 4 bombers in an Air RB match would naturally fix the issue due to not enough bases for everyone in Ju288's to get SL? Something needs to change to fix 5.0 and up that is for sure...
and this thing was at 4.7 br in 2014 when i got it in summer event, and it was pretty much the same, bad climb rate, good speed, great guns, i believe p51d5 was 5.0 at the time
yeah the bf109 f4 is a problem, but what about yak3s? these things climb almost the same and are damn fast. The P51A is pretty poor and face it every time I play 3.0-4.0, only time I got killed by a P51A was when I tried to reverse one on the T18B1 missed the shot and the mustang was so much faster that he could do a loop and sit on my tail. My atrocious gunner aim killed me.
The Yak 3 doesn't dive nearly as well and has more drag as well I believe. If a Yak 3 is going for you, you can probably go to his max dive speed of around 650 km/h in a few seconds. After which you can make the dive more shallow which still gives you more speed than the Yak 3, while losing less altitude as well if he wants to try and keep up with you.
@@martijn9568 could be, but try climbing up back, you won't, the yak3 will be above you every time, and if you pitch up you get energy trapped and easily dodged since your stall control is awful while yak3 more or less excells at it
