Saltydog and I take a couple days to fill the cook pot. Bunnies, squirrel and some landlocked salmon! Come along and enjoy some quality footage and time in the outdoors. #Slingshot #hunting #harehunting #Survival #icefishing.
Always an awesome cold adventure!!! I always think if the apocalypse happened, after some time our bands will rot away and theres no more manufacturing structures for more... random but just thinking lol. Great vid as always!!!
You certainly no how to catch the wild animals and fish to get your supper. Love watching you getting the rabbits with the sling shot. It amazes me how good you are. Great stuff bud. Enjoy the rest of your day.
😂😂😂great ending, I can see the resemblance. That’s a nice looking frame and great shooting again. Really liked that long shot, you could see that bearing drop right in on it. The fishing looked fun too, but cold. Thanks for the hunting and fishing trip, it was fun. Will be up Washington State on vacation soon. Aloha 👍🏽👊🏽🫵🏽☝🏽💪🏽🙏🏽🤙🏽
Great video! Thank you for sharing the details of your weaponry. Distances are so hard to gauge on screen, it helps to put everything into perspective. Also, what a great resource you have offered us by sharing band width, tapers etc.
What do you believe is the best slingshot hunting band in terms of draw weight and power? I am currently using the simpleshot .7 with a 25-20mm taper and 9.5mm lead and are looking at alternatives which offer more power. (i am also looking to move from lead to steel ammo)
I shoot .7 25-20 taper for 11 mm steel and 10 mm lead. In the summer I shot .65 25-20 taper for the same rounds. There are certainly more powerful options but more power comes with higher draw weight and less accuracy in my humble experience. I'll take enough power and extreme accuracy over high power inaccuracy. That is one man's opinion though take it for what it's worth. If you are dead set on more power use .8 at the same taper and see what you get!
Hey bud. Im in Anchorage and looking at hunting for the last time. Im about to retire out of the Army and move back down south. Any chance you'd be willing to talk and see about a meet up? I'd love to hunt one last time before I leave this great state and ive seen a lot of your posts on Alaska Small game hunters.
Howdy, Thank you for your service! I am leery of meeting up with strangers from the internet, but I wish you all the best and I hope you are successful in your hunt! If you want some intel on where to go for high numbers of Hares feel free to DM me on the Small Game Hunters.
