I loved Joey Jordisons drumming. But, hell, Jay Weinberg is magnificent. He showed that already on The Gray Chapter. The drumming on AOV is outlandish.

Corey quit smoking, so his voice is back and sounds incredible. His screams are awesome!

AMAZING reaction. I appreciated Sistah's breakdown of the lyrics so much. I'm a new subscriber and I've instantly engaged with the way she connects to the music and feels it to the bone. This was also my first time seeing Wolf react to a song he didn't already know. One of my favorite things about Slipknot is how no matter how much they experiment and grow they've always maintained their core sound. Also if you listen to any of the songs that the two percussionists are prevalent on with their parts muted out there is a huge difference.

Baby WOOOOOOO WOW!!!! Yes I got the chills as soon as the drums came in. I love this song!!

Corey is by far one of the best vocalists on the planet. He had some neck surgery done a few years ago because of a broken neck after falling during a live show. He also quit smoking and I think the neck surgery, the halt on smoking, getting clean and throwing out alcohol has improved his voice so much. During the era of Iowa, Subliminal Verses, and All Hope Is Gone, his vocals sounded super forced as he was trying to push those screams and yells out. Another reason why he is one of the best vocalists is because he has a vocal range of 7 octaves, allowing him to variate his performance quite a bit and it's amazing.

Glad someone finally caught/mentioned the similarity with Sid’s mask to the Leprosy cover art. Wonder if that was actually the inspiration.

slipknot have upped their game and this shows as does the rest of the album. so much so the album made the uk number 1 chart which upset simon cowell massively (him and corey taylor have a little fued with each other, might want to check out corey's christmas song closer to the time). little challenge time, check out the vid to Solway Firth - one of the darkest songs i've heard in a long time - and let's see if you recognise the events in the vid.... i was at one of them

Jay is a beast on drums, I’ve only seen Slipknot live 1 time and Jay absolutely killed on all the old Slipknot classics... I freaking love his drumming and all respect to Joey, I love his drumming and he was a really brilliant drummer on their earlier albums, but I gotta admit I love Jay’s drumming even more, he plays really tight, killer tight fills and he plays with such passion and energy, he can switch from playing really fast to go reaaaaally heavy and groovy, in my humble opinion he is the perfect drummer for Slipknot, it’s like he has brought so much new and fresh energy to the band, I love Jay’s drumming on The Gray Chapter, but man his drumming is brilliant on the new album as well...

i went to the August 14th concert. 3 days after the concert of the man who passed. RIP. Also they found out who Tortilla Man is. Michael Pfaff who is the keyboardist for Shawn Crahan's side project. Also Jay Weinberg is doing a great job on the drums. I will say this though. Tortilla Man is great on percussion and has great energy, but his vocals need a lot of work. It's almost like he puts no effort into it live. Like during People=Sh*t and other songs that have backup vocals.

The bassists mask kinda looks like a modern version of Red Skull to me...Wolf?? Sistah?? between you two and KelNRich are by far my go to reaction channels. I was wondering if you could react to some lesser mainstream bands and kinda in a way help promote them since most radio stations are biased now? I am not really a fan to any particular band i must "feel" the song did they make the music for profit or from the heart and soul..over the years i have developed the nack to tell at least i like to think so...anyway a few suggestions would be listed below.... ArCania - Rise and Never Fall (close attention to the spelling of the band name) French) Hiedevolk - Walhalla Wacht (Dutch, but there is a translated version for lyrics) Angels and Demons - Heaven Denies (collaboration of Iced Earth and Blind Guardian) Parasite Inc - The Pulse of the Dead (German, To me sounds like a mix of Ramstein and Megadeath with a bit more growling)) If you took the time for this long winded post i appreciate it, and i hope to see one of these in a reaction..If not, well I will still continue to watch...

Slipknot - sloway firth!!

I have been a Slipknot fan since day 1. I hope I didn't just date myself. Joey was a beast, especially with that double base. However, constant double base in not needed in all songs, especially the newer Slipknot songs that are a little more melodic. I think Jay is a more well rounded drummer and much better with the melodic side of Slipknot. He is no slouch with the double bass when it is needed either. I think this song is a good example of it. I don't think a band could go wrong with either of them, but I just prefer Jay's style a bit more myself. To each their own.

Nero Forte should be next
