Fun Fact: Grant’s doctor, who Starla talks to on the phone about if Grant went to see him, is the voice of none other than Hard Rock musician, Rob Zombie.
I love this movie so much. It’s literally my favorite childhood “horror” movie. The thing that always gets me is the fact that Grant actually still has feelings and feels terrible for what he’s done, but he simply can’t control it because it’s almost as if he was possessed. Like you can tell from the scenes where he’s teary eyed (even as an alien), that he feels bad and doesn’t wanna do what he’s been doing, but it’s like his “goal” as an alien. So it makes me sad every time. I know this movie by heart though. And the scene where Kylie turns the bath water off with her feet, I learned how to do that when I was like 6 because of her😂 I used to annoy the shit out of my parents with this movie, because we lived with my aunt and all lived in the attic, and literally every day after school (I was in first or second grade), I put the DVD in and just watched it over and over again, every day. I’m glad someone reacted to it, because not many people have. So thank you!! It was a great reaction and you just got yourself a new subscriber❤️ I’m also currently 24 min into the reaction but if you haven’t guessed it yet… basically the alien version of grant had a goal. His goal was to impregnate the woman he “cheated” with, that way she eventually blows up, then the slugs would go to peoples brains, and then they’d turn into zombies and make that connection with Grant. But they are a part of him which is why they all think that Starla is their wife. And the reason why the zombies go after Bill Pardy, is because secretly, Grant was jealous of Starla and Bill. So that’s why at around 24-25 min into the reaction, it shows that guy from the beginning, trying to hit Bill with the shovel and he says “hey there killer”. They were all mainly after Starla and Bill, because Grant was jealous. (I also wouldn’t have jumped off the roof, I would’ve ran down the stairs, & just cover my mouth the entire time).
Nathan Fillion is the Star of Firefly and it's Movie Serenity, the greatest sci fi since the original Star Wars trilogy. He's nerd royalty. He's also stared in Castle a crime drama and the Rookie. His character Mal Reynold's of Firefly inspired the character of Nathan Drake from Uncharted. He's Joss Whedon's go to actor as he can do anything. He also played an amazing villian in the final season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
This is one of my favorite James Gunn films! I showed it at one of my birthday parties back in the day and everyone almost left. They were all grossed out lol
I love this movie. I think I'm getting more into Horror comedy over "elevated" horror. Probably cuz I love 80s horror which was chalk full of camp. This movie gives me that kind of nostalgia lol
Y'know what, I'm pretty sure your snail-slug lore isn't biologically accurate but I'll accept it as headcanon cause it's honestly the funniest shit I've heard all week x'D
During the bath scene you asked what song she was listening to. It was a Jane Jensen song. Jane Jensen starred in the first movie James Gunn wrote, Tromeo & Juliet. I've always appreciated how James Gunn went from Troma movies to the head of DC films.
I've played flash games based on this movie. They were fun to play. 9:00 Sniper Elite x-ray ;) 11:50 that's the guy from the Firefly. 29:58 where are the tidies?
@@Puggapillar btw you know Nathan Fillion from The Suicide Squad! He played TDK The Detachable Kid in the opening scene, he's one of James Gunn's regular collaborators
Pam (Jenna Fischer) was James Gunns wife at the time. She made another Movie called Lollilove about people who start a charity giving lollipops to homeless people 😂. You should check it out if you want to watch something funny.
i say "their song" lyrics should officially be revised to "you're every WORMan in the world or just fk off, y'know?! also, they don't know what to call him. the mayor said "don't say squid" BIH! if you cant tell that he's obviously a SQUIDBILLY, what even is your life?!
Honestly if this movie was real the military and government would have got involved as soon as grant became a monster along with the slugs. But also if this had happened I would have taken a lighter and blowtorch and alcohol and burn them
