Curse of Chucky (2013) Movie Reaction! (actually SCARY??) *First Time Watching* 

Fun fact; the actress that plays Nica is Fiona Dourif, the daughter of Brad Dourif, who voices Chucky and plays Charles Lee Ray.

The fact that nicca is a disabled person and she's the protagonist is actually the first time this franchise subverted the final girl trope and thats why this was my favourite movie in this franchise

also, they way you geeked out over the Andy cameo was everyone who watched this movies exact expression. and the fact they got Alex Vincent back for the series to play him as an adult is amazing. his acting tho isn't great but it's the nostalgia for me

Fun fact despite being cast as Charlie Lee Ray by director Tom Holland in the original movie, Brad Dourif did not provide the voice for the doll, instead it was voiced by Jessica Walter. However after negative test screenings, Holland left the project and producer David Kirschner brought back the original writer Don Mancini (the two of them are like the guardians of the franchise). It was decided that they should bring Dourif back to provide the voice as he was able to be both scary and funny while Walters was just scary.

Fun fact: in the mid-credits scene, the actress was actually talking in a split a screen because she was too scared to talk the gross, stitched-up doll. Also Andy is played by the same child actor as Child’s Play 1 and 2

This is one of my favorites, not as good as the original trilogy but good enough. Built Alice up as the new Andy in a way being the little naive kid who becomes Chucky's new best friend. I love the mystery element returning. The ending was a big HOLY SHIT moment with Andy Barclay.

Im glad you liked Seed, its controversial but it definitely adds to the franchise and is overall a positive creation, its not as bad as the 3rd movie :D this one went all out horror and its pretty cool for a change, since its usually like a mix of horror and comedy, at times almost all out comedy, makes sense that after Seed they would do this :) this one gave us Nica, so again very valuable :D

I remember especially the first time i watched this movie i thought the jumpscares were way scarier and the tone was darker than the previous ones and that's what i loved about it, even Chucky isn't as comedic, more menacing. Also adding Chucky actor's real life daughter as the new main character to the franchise was awesome.

I think the reason as to why chucky doesn't have blood coming out of him is because he isn't fully human Think about it, in both the first and second movie, the events take place within 3 or so days, this movie takes place in one night (hence why Chucky doesn't have human qualities yet) he's still technically just a doll

What I liked most here is that it went back to it's root of being scary again after the last two was basically a joke. And the composer Joseph LoDuca is best known for doing the Evil Dead films. Dude knows how to do horror music very well!

To be fair it's been like several years in the film continuity between seed and this, so it wouldn't have been in the news for awhile and people would forget if they weren't close to it

At first I didn’t like the new Chucky design, I even kept thinking it looked like he had a face lift and it turns out he kind of did, lol. My favorite part is when she peals the fake face off, it was so creative and creepy! The only part about this movie I did like was the flashback. It looked great and I liked how it was in black and white except for the yellow flowers and giving us more of Chucky’s past but it didn’t make sense, I just couldn’t buy this was what happened when he ran from the police in the original film. Where did Eddie come into play and since when is he obsessed with families? All he ever cared about was killing and getting out of that body. The only movie their was any family themes was in Seed and we all know how that turned out. By the way I love Seed Of Chucky too! I think it’s hilarious and a big guilty pleasure, Jennifer Tilly killed it as Tiffany and herself, she took so many jabs at herself and it was great! She looked like she had a blast, in fact they all did.
