I would say that this is a great way to cook something in general if in a survival situation where you don't have electricity or gas and perhaps it's too cold to cook outside
From my experience cooking hams in both conventional oven and my brick oven, it’s the texture that is better and I can only think that this is because the cooking process starts off a lot slower when cooking over candles compared to conventional oven. As already commented, no gas or electric needed.
