I have an i20 one of the first models. The classic 2009, I love it so much I can't part with it... it's done 115000 miles and still going... it's been the one consistent reliable thing in my life for 15 years.. I don't think when I upgrade to the new i20 I'll be able to say goodbye to my little old i20. So I'm keeping it as a dog taxi!
I bought an i20 4 .5 years ago , just as a run around. Well... I actually think it's fantastic. It's never let me down , I get 53 miles to a gallon and it does what it says on the tin 😜
Well done Tish! I have the previous Hyundai i20 1.0 T-GDI MHEV Model and can confirm its very econimical, nimble & fun to drive! Yes the interior quality plastics is a bit on the low side but the overall car does a very good job and you never get bored in driving it! :) Thumbs up Hyundai!!
A very pro review as usual Tish. The i10 has always been a popular car around this way and with this new stylish model i can't see that changing soon. Great looking rims on that model as well. With plenty on tec and a great warranty where can you go wrong?
The 2024 Hyundai i20 now only comes with the 100bhp 3 cylinder turbo, without the 48v mild Hybrid technology. Also the entry Active model has manual aircon fitted, the climate control is only fitted to the Premium, Ultimate and N Line.
@@thurules The issue I had was keeping the 12v baterry fully charged, because if it was below 80% charge the stop/start and the sailing mode would not work, I had it checked out 3 times by Hyundai garage where i bought it new and they could not find a fault, I asked them to fit a bigger battery but they refused, anyway to cut a long story short I have just had the latest model not N-line and it its way so much better none of that mild hybrid garbage just a strait 1ltr turbo engine, to be honest I cant see any difference in power between this engine and the n-line version, one more thing the n-line was fitted a 45 amp hour batery this one has a 60 amp hour battery
I bought mine back in 2014. It's still wonderful. I tried a 2023 one last year. Mine had an electrical fault and the garage very kindly gave me a courtesy car as I had a long journey. Have to say, it was nowhere near as good as the 2014 one. Lower roof, smaller boot, fiddly gears, way less visibility. Maybe the 2024 model has addressed these things.
I love my Hiundai I got in 2017 unfortunately now I have head gasket problems and everyone is sending me back to Hiundai for repairs it costs a fortune so I have to get rid it the car did quite well 92000 miles every day city driving . I am going for Kia Stonic this time see how I get on with it as never driven a crossover small suv before.
I have the previous edition with the 1.2L engine. A fault from new is the engine tries to stall when pulling away. Unnerving when pulling out of a junction or onto a roundabout. I have asked for this to be looked at in the local Hyundai main dealer but their attitude is that it's just something I have to live with. Not acceptable! Does this happen with the latest engine?
I was thinking that too, the latest premium model has a sunroof and keyless entry as standard and only available in 100 ps not 130 as she says. If you live in southern ireland they have a completly different spec to us here in the uk
sorry got that wrong ! its the Ultimate model that comes with sunroof etc Still she is not showing the very latest 2nd edition of the facelift model this is not the car you would get now if you bought it new here in the UK
And this from Hyundai's website; 'New i20 also offers a more simplified powertrain line up, with all models available with the turbocharged, 3 cylinder, 100PS engine and a choice of 6 speed manual or 7 speed dual clutch transmission'. Again, not as in the video which suggests two power options are available.
Honda jazz seems to be the better option - has true hybrid, drives faster (0-100km/h under 9 sec based on all the reviews), and even more rear + cargo space with seats folded.
Blimey why have they done that?? Hyundai’s logic is very odd lately, first they drop the superb Ioniq hybrid and now remove the mild hybrid from their smaller car
they dropped it because its a load of rubbish, Ive got the n-line mild hybrid version and its nothing but trouble the dealers dont know whats wrong with it i have to charge the 12 volt battery every week so the stop/start and sailing mode to work, also the dealers told me another reason it was dropped because the goverment have extended the the time petrol car can be produced, i think its 2035 now@@pintsizedbiker
Thats not a 2024 review it doesnt have mild hybrid anymore (they got rid of it because it was garbage) also engine is only 100bhb not 100bhb or 130bhb like she says, it should have been keyless as well not like that one with ignition key in the sterring colum , one more thing i didnt see a sun roof, Its fitted on the top model as standard
The things like the sun roof are different in each country. For example. The i20 top model in Romania comes with 16 inch wheels, while in Hungary it comes with 17 inch ones. And NONE of those has sun roof at all. And both come with ignition key. (Or at least the Romanian one, I can't confirm the Hungarian one yet) And that car in the video is a 2024 Facelift version. Easy to recognize as the logo is on the hood not on the grills.
@@ronair5 The facelift is the latest as it's the 2024 version, the only change after the facelift is that the latest ones get integrated navigation system by EU standards but nothing else change.
@@StArShIpEnTeRpRiSe I f you bought that facelift car say in January 2024 you would get this car a mild hybrid, but if you go and buy this car new now in the Uk you get the 2nd edition of the faclift, Its not mild hybrid just a 100 ps 3 cylinder turbo 100ps, thats our specs here in the UK
@@ronair5 As I said it's different in each country. Here Hungary we buy a 1.2 4 cylinder variant of the facelift one brand new right now.... And the next change only will be the navigation system, nothing else, everything remain the same here in Hungary.
