i do wonder how are they software wise different the 2022(23) and 2024 model. Especially in terms of those law required ISA systems. I do see that you are able to switch it off on the 2022 model but people do complain it has to be done every time you start the car over on the 2024? Is that true or both as similar to it anyways. The 22 model with me is N line DCT so i dont know how much it does change in terms of software on the cluster.
@@mitkoprakov1296 in Ireland, from Late 2023, into 2024 you have to turn off the beeping at the start of every journey as it has upgraded software for speed limit assist. Unfortunately, it’s a great feature but can be quite annoying for people if they don’t like it.
My I20 is from 2022. A very good car. There are no revolutionary changes in the year 2024, so there is no need to worry about the model becoming obsolete...For now :)
I just got the new model in South Africa. Is there a specific setting to turn on the DRL's that replace the fog lights? I have the LED's on the car, but I don't know how to turn them on?
That green colour on the car in the showroom is lovely. Some nice changes have been made, but i personally think the light grey interior trim was slightly nicer
The green looks well! I understand what you mean with the ambient lighting, the light interior will probably show that up better, glad you like the changes!
Where are the front fog lights located in the 2020 model? Do they share the same place as the daytime running lights? Whether it’s daytime running lights or fog lights, is there any way to turn them off? Thanks!
@@doolanbrian For a moment I thought they were fog lights, but now I realize they are daytime running lights. Is there a way to turn off those daytime running lights? Thanks
@@jotagiorgio I’m not aware of the way to switch them off using the functions of the car, it’s something that you would probably have to do using somebody that can independently manipulate codes in the vehicle using an independent diagnostic tool👍 on someone models they are daytime running lights and also fog lights in the same housing so this might still be your case
@@doolanbrian I was asking because I would swear that those LED daytime running lights usually bother other drivers at night. I bought the car recently and some drivers have signaled me as if I had the high beams on.. That’s why I was looking for a way to turn them off at night. Thanks again!
@@jotagiorgio okay, daytime running lights turn off automatically when the headlights turn on at night so this is not your problem. Most likely the problem is that your headlights are set too high, this won’t be an internal adjustment, if you go to any garage, just ask them to set the headlight height. In Ireland, we usually find that we have to lower the headlight height, even when they come from the factory to comply with our national car testing recommended beam height.
@@henrikhook. there is not any extra ground clearance on 2024 spec , the only car that is similar with a little bit of extra ground clearance would be Bayon 🙂👍 but it is a marginal amount
@@Bambotb unfortunately, I’m not familiar with the Polo as we sell Hyundai I’m going to be biased on this one! I think all you can do is look at the two vehicles and see which one you prefer Hyundai will have a long warranty , and I think you get a good level of specification in relation to the price point👍
I like the new front - especially the flat logo - but the DRL looks a bit of a copy and paste from Peugeot. The new alloys I really like, the rear side however I prefer of the old one.
hyundai i20 in ireland looks better than vw gti. i noticed that in ireland i20 units. they look much better than i20 in UK, india and rest of the world. im not sure why, maybe because cars are generally more expensive in ireland 😊
Thank you for watching I appreciate it, usually our models should look very similar to the UK versions🙂🙂 but we are generally more expensive in this country unfortunately
Thank you for watching! In ireland unfortunately, I don’t think we will have the Bose stereo system option🫤 this will be different however for different European countries I would imagine
Hello, in Bulgaria the Bose sound system comes in the Premium edition (Classic/Exclusive/Premium). I know it is not Ireland, but decided to share anyway. I've got the Exclusive version with Navigation and automatic transmission. So far super happy with it.
@@doolanbrian i do have heard they should have better built in sensors for blind angle on mirrors the advanced models on the 24 model compared to the older one tho.
What country are you in ? Ireland gets 1.2 84 Bhp manual since 2021 We also get 1.0 T 100 BHP auto since 2021 What country got the 120 BHP i20 ? The 1.0T 120 BHP was in i30 in Ireland and also Kona 👍
@@doolanbrian I live in Greece. The previous model had 3 choices the 1.2 n/a the 1.0 100 and the 1.0 120 and now there are only two choices the 1.2 and the 1.0 100.
@@doolanbrian Yes we get 120(gasoline) bhp in 2023 this variant is called N line in India. We also used to get 1.5 100hp & 240 NM (diesel ). That got discountinued 3 month back due to emission norms.
Every time new models come out some people still prefer the previous model, 🙂for me I like the new one, but maybe it’s just a change so that’s why I like it
