Did you actually spot Howard The Duck? Did you find yourself impulsively scanning that wide shot looking for hidden cameos, maybe hoping that somehow you'd spot Daredevil, or Wolverine or some of the Fantastic 4?
I didn't see the Howard the Duck easter egg until some posted it online. Saw the classic Ant-Man helmet the golden age version which was nice. Pre-Captain America Steve Rogers photo from Captain America: The First Avenger showing up. Harley from Iron Man 3 at the funeral. Hulk wielding the Infinity Gauntlet and the energy surging through him having a hard time controlling it was a nice callback to Steve Rogers when he is injected with the Super Soldier Serum and he has a hard time but then says he can withstand the energy.
When I was watching that part I was I like "wow man it's so cool every female characters coming together yeahhh" and then I suddenly realized there was no nat in the scene and was I like this 😭😭😭😭😭all this years of epic buildup and nat didn't survive to see this😭😭😭😭😭
Did anyone catch Wasp smiling at Scott and saying "cap" during the final battle which was a reference to her making fun of Scott for calling Steve "cap" in Ant-Man & the Wasp
*Welcome endgame watchers* who feel empty and don't know what to do with themselves after watching the most incredible movie that has touched every possible emotion. I love you 3000
I don't feel empty at all. It was a good movie but it didn't surprise like Infinity War did. I didn't leave the theater thinking Holy Shit what just happened. Plus Spider-Man is coming out in 2 months, and Jake Gylenhaal as Mysterio is going to be epic. There is a lot to look forward too in the MCU.
@@BrianWilliams-rl9hw yeah get what you mean but imo endgame was amazing and the fight scene was sooo much better, literally gave me goosebumps when my cinema started cheering. And i was emotional after infinity war whereas i was sobbing after endgame. However, the abrupt ending of all the avengers being snapped in infinity war was SUCH A GREAT ENDING.
@@BrianWilliams-rl9hw also i feel empty and sad coz the avengers are never gonna get back together. That epic marvel music while all the avengers get ready to fight and the relationships between all of them ( love, humour and mocking each other😂) will be truly missed.
I get it. I just loved the surprise and Shock IW gave me. In Endgame we kind of new what was going to happen. The time travel was a bit sketchy. But lots of Fan Service. Cap utilizing Mjolnir was pretty cool, but was it really any better than Thor Bifrosting into Wakanda? I'm actually kind of relieved its done. I think the majority of people were going to get fatigued. Time for some fresh blood. A new Big Bad.
In “Age of Ultron”, Captain America barely moves Thor’s hammer and it scared him. In endgame when he was worthy and could use it, that was why Thor said “I knew it.”
Cap could have actually lifted Mjolnir with ease during AoU, but decided against it for fear of embarrassing Thor, which is why it appears that he barely moves it..
Harley from Rose Hill, TN...didn't recognize him but some other video IDed him. That whole funeral scene with everybody got to me. Even Hank Pym, Mr. Anti-Stark himself, turned up.
my mum gave me a funny look when as soon it started to lift i gasped lol i heard word of mouth that there was moments that they applaud Marvel for holding back and not putting in the trailers. that one is definitely one of them because none of us in my theater expected it.
THIS. I had a couple of tears in my eyes throughout the movie. But that hamburgers line hit me too damn hard and lost it completely. Shit was too deep. Such a great movie.
@NO You that was the only way to beat Thanos. None of them could kill him. He knocked out Capt Marvel..that was there only chance and Strange knew the outcome
“Everybody wants a happy ending, right? But it doesn't always roll that way. Maybe this time... I'm hoping that if you play this back, it's in celebration. I hope families are reunited, I hope we get it back, and something like a normal version of this world has been restored. If there ever was such a thing. God, what a world… Universe, now. If you told me ten years ago that we weren’t alone, let alone, you know, to this extent, I wouldn’t’ve been surprised. But, come on… who knew? Those epic forces of light and dark that have come into play… And for better or worse, that's the reality that Morgan's gonna have to find a way to grow up in. So I thought I better record a little greeting, in case of an untimely death... on my part. Not that death at any time isn't untimely. This time travel thing that we're gonna try to pull of tomorrow, it got me scratching my head about this and think of the survivability of this thing..... But then again that's a hero's gig. Part of a journey is the end. ...What am I even doing this for? Everything's gonna work out exactly the way it's supposed to. I love you 3000.” -from Tony Stark's Hologram Message (a.k.a. Howard Potts)
Cheeseburger is more heartbreaking than you thought...first Iron Man movie...Tony was thought dead and when he came back he requests to Happy a cheeseburger...and when he's really dead, Happy heard Morgan wanting a cheeseburger again...Happy Hogan is probably the saddest character in that part
Lil JM I’m sure this is gonna sound dumb but the second time I watched endgame when Morgan says cheeseburgers I almost busted out in tears Bc it just really hit me that he is gone
Not only that in real life when Robert Downey Jr. during his drug addiction he went to have one of his favorite burgers from Burger King but once he had it he hated it because of his drug troubles it made it taste gross so he turned his life around and eventually became iron man
How come no one is talking about the Tony and Peter hug?! In homecoming Peter thought Tony was giving him a hug but he was just opening the door for him. In Endgame he finally got a genuine hug. That shit was all it took to make a grown man cry lol
and in infinity war, "i don't feel so good" was said by peter to tony before he disappeared. and when he comes back and tony just hugged him, he said "this feels good."
Anyone realize that New Asgard is built in Tonsberg, Norway. This is the place that the frost giants froze in Thor, the place Red Skull found the tesseract in Captain America, and odins death place in Thor: Ragnorok.
Every other comment has a Drax reference. It is so over done!!! We get it already! He was standing still AND he said "Why is Gamora" Find something new for the love of God!
At the end of the movie, when there's tony stark funeral, i don't see gamora....is that also a reference from the infinity war? 🤔 Where is gamora? Who is gamora? Why is gamora?
It's funny how in Civil War, Hawkeye tells Black Panther: "Hi, I'm Clint" and Black Panther goes like: I don't care. And now in Endgame, BP says: Clint, give it to me😂
I just realized that. Thxs There r SO MANY references to the older movies that I miss one or two and I am a huge Marvel fan and I can’t believe I missed that
Well turns out Thanos got his wish when he told Tony Stark in Infinity War on Titan " I hope they remember you " We will always remember you Tony aka IRON MAN. Thanks Marvel for 10+ wonderful years.
skully_traps if he came back, it would take away all the weight from his sacrifice and it would completely "cheapen" it. don't get me wrong, i absolutely love tony and endgame broke my heart into 3000 pieces 😭. but his ending was fitting. he died saving the world, a perfect end to his character arc
@@Bustical I think the point is that pieces are usually lost by the time it is endgame. Playing chess, it's impossible to win without losing any pieces unless your opponent is throwing or has a mental condition.
I was confused with that scene. Bc tony, scott and cap were all travelling to 2012, right? So how did cap end up in that elevator scene because that was in 2014. Could you explain please?
@@Jeremiah823_ Yeaaa... Because I think, they all did travel to 2012 and the elevator scene, we know, as fans wasn't about to take place then and there, it would have taken place in 2014 only, but this scene with the scepter was happening in 2012 only. But it was a valid reference to the 2014 scene as both viewers and Cap knew that fight scene happened, and initially I was too hyped up, but later when he gets out of the situation with sheer wits, I couldn't help but giggle. It was a great scene!
I just commented about this above before reading this... honestly it was one of my favorite subtle callouts in Endgame! That and the other one I mentioned (Wasp calling Cap, Cap).
Nope I was laughing cuz I said "finally he gets to use it" he's a teenager so he wouldn't use instakill on a robber but space aliens...now that's different lolol
People are always pondering what made MCU succeed and DC fail (at least, in terms of extended universes go), and I've long said that it's the Tony Stark character, particularly the fact that it's played by RD Jr. That one witty, charming, charismatic character at the center, around which everything is built -- DC never had that. Their leaders are straight-faced bores with cardboard personalities. It's not necessarily the actors fault, because Batman/Wayne and Superman/Kent aren't really supposed to be witty and charismatic. And even if they were, I can't imagine someone like Affleck doing anything with such a role. It's hard to see where the MCU will go from here, without Tony Stark.
avengers 1 - Bruce Banner : So you're saying that the Hulk... the other guy... saved my life? That's nice. It's a nice sentiment. Save it for what? Tony Stark : I guess we'll find out. endgame - professor hulk: But the radiation's mostly gamma. It's like I was made for this.
OH MY GOD I didn't know that thanks! I know full well who Jim Starlin is and have read all his comicbook classics but I don't really know what he looks like.
After the "5 years later" titles, in the room where black widow is having conversation with the hologram's of captain marvel, rocket etc, there are ballet shoes in one of the chairs, cool reference to her past
DON'T WORRY TONY, YOU MAY REST NOW. I KNOW WE DIDN'T EXPECT HIS FATE ON WHAT DOCTOR STRANGE SAID ABOUT THE ONLY 1 POSSIBLITY THAT THEY WON. MOST OF US -- MARVEL FAN CRIED IN THE MOVIE. SO IN HONOR OF RDJ- TONY STARK, IRON MAN, WE LOVE YOU 3000!!
Missed the huge one where in Captain America: Winter Soldier, Steve Rogers comes to visit Peggy now as an old woman and says "Well, I couldn't leave my best girl, not when she owes me a dance." and he stayed true to his word in Endgame when the film ends by him travelling back in time to give Peggy that dance 😭
Avengers (2012): Tony says to steve "everything special about you came out of a bottle" Avengers: Endgame : Steve wields the Mjölnir, proving he's more than the super soldier serum
In 2012, cap tells tony he’s not the type of person to put his life on the line for the greater good. In 2019 (2023 technically), tony kills thanos and himself to save everyone else.
@@Brennen That was more from him meeting his Dad. When talking to his dad, Tony realised how much he had become like his dad and his dad mentions that he didn't act for the greater good, so Tony wanted to be better. Shows character development, but it's not like he was proving Cap wrong, because it was right at the time
I watched everything (several multiple times) except the first two Thor movies. They never appealed to me, and since everyone seems to agree they're among the weakest in the series, I just never bothered. So, although I knew Nathalie Portman was in it, I had no idea why they had to dig inside her to get an infinity stone.
How did they not mention this. I couldn’t figure out who that was when I saw it, I had to watch a bunch of random clips and then I found a comment referring to Iron Man 3.
and do you notice the kid on a bicycle when scott lang came back from quantum realm and searching for his house? I think it's the same kid that went for Stark's Funeral
Did anyone noticed that when Tony starts recording for Pepper in the beginning when he was stranded in space. He said "Today's day is 21 no ... 22 " And the Avengers Endgame was 22nd movie of MCU starting from Iron Man 😍 @Looper
Thats pretty good... and considering this is a direct continuation of IW, it would make sense to mistakenly call it the 21st. Seems like that was probably intentional when you think of it like that.
@@jamesbizs If it were just that he said "day 22", it would have been a coincidence... but stumbling at 21 before correcting it to 22 seems like it makes it a bit more plausible... Still though... it could have just been a double coincidence, i guess.
At my school, some of the boys were talking about how they hated that scene, bc it was too in your face feminism, but if it were all boys it would be seen as normal. But yeah it was epic!
I didn't mind it, but it was a missed opportunity to have one last battle moment with the OG Avengers. That scene could have gone to Hawkeye, Hulk, Thor, Cap and Ironman.
@@midnightsun1293 I thought it was pointless and shit... Not because of the whole feminist thing but because it was genuinely pointless.... Captain marvel didn't need their help and she literally showed that she didn't when she just flew straight through Thanos' army
Well that news has been going around for so long brother. It is also in the comics. And do you know that J.A.R.V.I.S is an acronym for Just A Rather Very Intelligent System?
Did anyone mention when Cap was on the elevator to get away he whispered in the solders ear " Hail Hydra" ? That was pulled straight from a recent comic book story line.
Gravity™ Yes it is a reference to TWS elevator scene..but when Cap says “Hail Hydra” In endgame in the elevator that is a reference to a storyline in a comic from like 3 years ago..a reference within a reference.
The film Endgame will be the film of the generation & we will be talking about this for years. The film was so good on many levels & this will be one to compare for films of the future!
Wow youre already overrating it. The shit retcon writing on Thor was enough to ruin the movie for me. The writers completely shat all over his character development for politically motivated bullshit; Thor is a masculine white guy. This feminist agenda and the pro-black, con-white movement was completely responsible
JumPInfectioN Thor being fat and lazy symbolized nothing, and you are seriously that triggered over 1 scene? Please elaborate on “pro black, con white”
When I watched that, I thought he had walked back into the same scene. It was only after leaving the theater that I remembered the elevator scene was in Winter Solider and not the first Avengers movie.
The fact they handed over the spear just cause he said "hail hydra" seems a bit silly though... Like, that's enough to let him have it over their initial orders?
eyebelieve3 no they won’t, not because they can’t but because the actor that plays her only has one movie left on her contact and they are making a origin story movie about her soon
@@NoobMaster-vk1mr yup leave the agreement but according to the story once you give your soul for getting soul stone..... no one can bring them back....so she is gone for ever
2016- Hawkeye: We haven't met. I'm Clint. Black Panther: I don't care. 2019- Black Panther: Clint, give it to me. Pretty cool he remembered even though he didn't care.
Natasha's sacrifice was a nod to her line to Loki in Avengers (2012) when she told him she had a 'lot of red' on her ledger. Tony Stark essentially also lived up what he promised Loki in the first Avengers film: "If we can't protect the Earth, you can be damned sure, we'll Avenge it!"
I never put that together about Bridges and being the 1st enemy, buf I did think throughout the movie that he (Thor) looked like Lebowski. I think even his shades were the same lol.
Black Panther called Hawkeye _Clint_ goes back to when he said "I don't care" when Clint was introducing himself back in Civil War. Wasp calling Steve _Cap_ & Antman smiling at her goes back to when she thought it silly how Lang referred to him as _Cap_ as if they were close friends back in Antman & the Wasp.
Thought that was a reference to that as well, but it might not have been. Ratchet is a tool, so that's what it could've been. I dunno though, I'm gonna pretend it was indeed an RnC ref.
⍟ Captain America ⎊ Iron Man ⧗ Black Widow ✇ Hulk ✵ Captain Marvel ۞ Doctor Strange ϟ Thor ४ Loki ꘩ Ant-man ᗢ Scarlet Witch ✪ Winter Soldier
You forgot at least one: CA: Civil war: "Hi, I'm Clint we haven't met." "I don't care." Avengers eg: "Clint... give me the glove." Obviously he did care. ^_^
There are way more references to previous movies I mean it's like almost every scene in Endgame contains one or more references, it's like the whole movie was made for all the references from the whole MCU movies... and every time I spot it, I gasp or cry or wow, or all three at the same time: really want to watch it again! it's super AWESOME, SPECTACULAR!
Something tells me that with the way they keep referencing Budapest that in the black widow movie some of the events that take place in Budapest will be in the movie, maybe after Clint decides not to kill black widow she joins shield and that's what the film has to do with, its like they are planting seeds for it.
Marcus Flint I’m conflicted about a black widow film. It’d be great but if it came earlier than her death. Unless she’s alive in the soul stone or something(which would take away from her death in EG) idk about wanting to see a prequel I know the end to. Ala Han Solo.
@@lanefair2950 the next guardians movie is about adam warlock. if anyone can get souls out of the soul stone it is him. he could possibly save gamorrah and black widow in future films
@@millionshadesofdarkness2165 would that work though considering Black WIdow's soul stone was from a different timeline. The current timeline stone is destroyed but we don't need Gamora back because we have 2014 version to set up Guardians 3.
Are we not going to talk about how Black Panther yelled "Clint", instead of Hawkeye, when they were playing hot potato with the stones. It stands out in the movie but I think it's in reference to the "Hi, I'm Clint." " I don't care" scene.

I definitely didn't notice Howard in the middle of it all (I've gone back to check and he is there indeed), and the "on your left" reference was said in such a serious way that I didn't realise it was a reference until watching this video
Oh yea? Well did you notice that they kept calling Captain America, Steve Rogers? That is a reference to the fact that Steve Rogers is Captain America's real name!
