ive had so much trouble since i installed 18 lb valve springs.. or i dunno the problem .. itll only start on half/full choke and run great for like 5 min, then itll wanna die, and sometimes not start for a while, its a tilly 212R govenor removed , 18lb valve springs, 28 mm mikuni, and a stage 1. any insight would be awesome.... subbed
Ive tried red beards garages method and its near impossible to pull and wont start. I will be doing this method after work today and I hope so badly this works. I will edit and let you know if your video helped me. Fingers crossed
You should be able to pull the blower cover turn the flywheel over lineup the mark Army flywheel if it has it to top dead center with the plug out and use a plug gauge and you got to do the zero it out
@@MuscleMinibikeBuilds Can’t take the blower cover off without major disassemble. Look at the predator 3500 generator/inverter, it’s pretty much a sealed unit.

See i purchased a believe it's a stage 3 racing head to bolt onto my 196cc engine and it came with the champion rockers already in it and before i got them i had only had the stock valves and only knew how to adjust stock. I did not realize that with these the actual stud the nut sits on was for adjusting. I was having a heck of a time trying to figure out how the heck to set the valve lash with only 1 nut not realizing the stud is for adjusting as well. If i did not have the valve lash set correctly would that be a reason i was getting a lot of snap back every time i tried to pullstart the engine ? Cause it really tries to rip my hand off every time i go to start it and it hurts like a mofo !!
Ok....what if I adjusted the valves just like you did in the video, 10 separate times, and it still wont start up. Its getting gas and fire. Compression issues maybe? How to tell if so??
I'm a beginner so this may seem like a silly question for some, but how do you know which feeler gauge to use on any specific engine? For example, a mega moto mini bike with a 105cc engine? Lifan? Im not even sure where to find that info.
My ct200u won’t start without choke if I leave it for a night and half a day, I’m trying to diagnose it but I can’t figure out why, would you be able to tell me? Keep in mind I have a modified exhaust and air intake, I also have the gov disabled and give screw is cut off.
@@MuscleMinibikeBuilds I put a whole new carb in it honestly I assumed it already had the the upgraded jet in it but I could be wrong, I’ll switch it tomorrow and let you know how it goes thanks!
Will a tilotson vibrate Hella bad if these are outta wack I recently hydro locked my tilly 212 got it undone had to reseat my intake push rod now it vibrates like Hella bad 😢
I am getting ready to install this same motor on a go-kart with my son. Your videos have been great for me as I research what work we are going to do to the engine before running it. Tell me if this sounds right I had a loose rocker and my bike ran js fine ( or so I thought) but I tightened it (finger tight) engine gained more “get up and go” big change in power

I took the governor out of my KT196 go kart and now when I pull the cord it won’t pull/snaps back. Checked spacing and it’s .003 with a slight drag. Without spark plug it pulls easy. Any thoughts?
anybody know what how much i set the springs to on a 79cc predator i got some gages but i dont know how much to do i looked everywhere but there nothing
