This year I bought a used Yanmar ke-40 with an after market rototiller. It's only 15hp but it runs the tiller like a champ.

My diesel mechanic installed a turbo on his 17 hp Kubota lol.... It didnt blow up the EGT's were at about 1200 degrees. Not good Looks like it did a good job!

I need to find a tiller for my kubota for the used prices I been seeing I might just wait and buy a brand new one

With the turf tyres on it it’s probably only ever been used for mowing!

Truth be told you probably did it some good putting it to work like that. The proof being the smoke cleared up. Only real thing to watch for on the old kubotas of that era is to make sure the whistle works on the radiator overflow. That way you know when it’s too hot. Those came with the brass whistle that is about $100 new. If yours is missing you can substitute one off of a newer model made of plastic for about $20 from kubota. If I remember correctly the l175 & l185 tractors didn’t even have thermostats or water pumps. They worked off of the thermosiphon principle. The water just kinda boils it’s through the system.
