For the first time (almost ever 🤦♀️) I am on a decluttering and organizing mission. I am a recovering hoarder. I have clutter and stuff everywhere! As I am organizing and decluttering and looking for homes for things, I am realizing how much storage I can add if needed (cubbies, baskets, under bed, etc(. I feel inspired and encouraged 😁 My husband and I live in an 800sf home.
My house is around the same size as your original house. My husband and I are about to sell our home and downsize to a 900 sq foot shipping container home. I personally always love smaller spaces- it’s more cozy and homey feeling. After many years of coaxing my husband is finally ready to take the plunge!
Oh wow! We definitely utilize our garage some, but we are in the midwest and it gets HOT & humid in the summer and FREEZING cold in the winter so I have to be careful what I store out there too so I can totally relate!
I think your house is very big, lovely too. I live in the U.K. my home is small I used to have a laundry room in my former house but I have my washing machine and tumble dryer in my small kitchen. I’m all for new ideas for organising
I wish there were more RU-vidrs from Europe who live in a small house with no garages posting decluttering and organizing videos. I would really love to see what the houses or apts look like.

I live in a 1250 Sq. Ft. home. and I have 3 bedrooms and a basement plus 2 baths and a very small living room and dining room barely able to put a table in it. (very simple plan). So how do you organize something like this. We don't live like a lot of people do but it is okay and comfortable. I bet they have a big mortgage too.
