Welcome back to another adventure and video with FlyFishingWithJeff as I once again meander my way down the upper St Croix River in search of big smallmouth bass. In this video I am just a couple of days later heading back down the St Croix and put in at the take out point of the previous (Part 1) video that was posted a couple days ago. The smallmouth are cooperative and the scenery is spectacular on a bluebird weather day. I think you will also enjoy a few fly fishing tips and float tube tips along the way. Remember to hit the like button and if you have any questions you can leave a comment or reach me at my website, www.flyfishingwithjeff.com.

Your cast at 12 mins 30 secs reminds me what my brother always says, "great casts catch fish". Great stuff!

Casting is part of it for sure….I find the big fish really only give you one shot and you can’t muck it up and catch one, thanks for the view and the kind comment! Jeff

Jeff, do you "run" one of the chutes on Coppermine Dam, (typically which one)or do you portage river right?? I ask because of your inflatable. I've read that there are pieces of old rebar amongst some of those rocks in the chutes. Would obviously be hazardous to inflatables, which i happen to own as well. Thanks. And what a great stream. You're fortunate to be able to fish it often .

I walk my way through slowly and usually use the middle flume to get through; haven’t had any issues. It’s a great river! Jeff

So that St. Croix Imperial is a keeper? I used to have one in a 5 weight years ago. Not sure why I got rid of it. As I recall it casted nice. Probably a medium/medium fast action.

Yes, Jason….loved the new rod and will be doing a video soon touting it and some new water boots I found! Frankly, I never thought I’d cast a rod so perfect beside the bank robber…..but this is even better! Jeff
