+septembergame, I agree with you on that. This was that Valentine episode, and everything. He got injected with red kypronite when Lois kissed him, and he fell under her spell!
Martha said it at least once maybe more - "Red Kryptonite doesn't change who you are. It just removes your inhibitions." The implication of course is that Clark is guarding himself so much all the time, and its only when he's subjected to a dangerous form of Kryptonite that his true self is shown.

+Hypertran, it sure does. I actually like it when he's on Red K. When's he just Clark, he's kind of vague, he's not as honest, he doesn't take as many chances, but when he's on Red K, it's way different.
and as much as I like Clark, he's so mopey throughout the series and when he's on Red K he just deals with whatever's bothering him. Plus Tom Welling seemed more at home playing Red K Clark than he did mild-mannered Clark.
Such a great scene. I love how Tom carries this entire scene. He in room full of people and the look of fear in every one eyes. Tom just nails it to the teeth. You can feel the power. Every one in that room knows he dangerous but they not quite sure why.
Agreed. This episode is also important because Clark says several things to Lana in the loft later that serve as a turning point for her choices in future episodes this season.
All of the red k Clark episodes make me giddy because it's fun to watch him respond to situations without his inhibitions. Also, he is just plain sexy every time he gets exposed to it. I like seeing him behave how he secretly feels. It's fun.
Hahaha oh man, I love this scene! I just love how Kal is just burning everyone, especially Lana and Lex, the two people on the show I had begun to hate at this point in time. "To Baby Luthor." That was awesome!
This is such a great scene. Tom really nails it when he plays evil Clark. The way he shouts it just screams power. Like you see every one in room just flinch. They don't even know he has super powers but they sense that power. This and Red are like my two favorite ep. Tom really shines through in those ep.
For all the times Clark stood up for them, stood by them, protected them, and saved them; I say he deserves to be a menace once in a while. Especially when it’s warranted like it was here. They all forgot he’s the reason any of them are alive. Not saying that grants him their never ending fealty but it was cold for the majority of his people to be sitting in a room with Lex when Lex had them all there to hurt Clark/replicate Clark’s life. Lana, Martha, Chloe and Lex all got bodied and humbled by Clark; the red K was just the way to let that truth out.

The moment I realized Lex purposely didn't invite Clark to his and Lana's engagement party is when I knew their friendship over the previous five seasons had gone to hell in a hand basket. From this point on things would never be the same between them.
Yep I just didn’t like that whole engagement. Lana got with Lex to spite Clark. He used mind manipulation to break up Lana and Clark. He he’s mind manipulation to trick Clark into showing his powers too. He had Simone do all of this. I knew their friendship was over the minute Lana and Lex started treating Clark like a second class citizen.
God, this scene is so satisfying... makes you love A-hole Clack when everybody got their share of a cold harsh justice after all the betrayals and humbling moment Clark when through for being a hero... that scene make the hole drama with Lana a bit more breathable!
You know for someone who has super powers and his inhibitions are hindered, Clark as remarkable control in that he didn't kill Lex nor reveal his powers to Lana.
Jimmy just realized through all of this that Chloe had a thing for Clark and won’t be honest about a damn thing to him when it comes to Clark and broke up with Chloe later that episode.

Actually here is the thing, he broke up with Lana to protect her because if he were to get mind controlled or manipulated by more villains the first thing they would do is make him hurt her. However when he tried to explain that to her she shrugged him off, (this was before she found out his heritage.) and Martha predicted the break up would give her reason to hurt him. So she did so by dating Lex. Lana had it coming miles away and what made it sweeter is she didn't even know it yet.
Shanethefilmmaker Lana was ready to marry lex until 4hours before she found out clarks secret.. I mean it was pretty clear she was with lex just because Clark was hiding something.
Straight went up in there, dissed everyone, told Lex "I'M NOT DONE YET!" when Lex tried to regain control, took Lana, left. Red K makes turns Clark into an Alpha.
Nice to know that red kryptonite made Clark finally admit he had feelings for Chloe as well. 😉 Too bad he never acted on it since the writers wouldn't let go of the damn Lana thing like they should have two seasons earlier.

Kaagh178 well in bronze age in the comics in parallel Universe he reunited with Lana and told her he never really got over her. In Superboy the show and Adventures of Superboy the show Lois was not in these shows it was all about Lana and Clark.
Kaagh178 that is your opinion. Everyone will have their own opinions. Yes I agree Stacey is an amazing actress and beautiful but so is Kristin. Kristin won many awards. Kristin is beautiful and talented. She plays Lana so well if she could invoke hatred by Clois fans. Kristin went on to have several success after Smallville. She always gets the leading men. She was on Beauty and The Beast for 4 years and got paired with the handsome Jay Ryan. Kristin is a better actress than Alison Mack and Erica Durance. Kristin really plays the emotions so well. She makes everything looks believable.
If I had someone like Lois around. I would be trying to hook up with her instead of Lana. Lois has a better body, attitude, trust, and would not interrogate me everytime we talked. She wouldn't go through my stuff unless tricked into it. I was curious what it would have been like with Clark Luthor on Red K.
I love how even when Clark was infected with the k. He still picked his true love Lana. Lois said what does she have that I do not have. you figure it out Lois. Clark just toss Lois aside and kidnaps Lana. Their love is eternal no matter who he settles with.

She is capable of going trough clark stuff for her own nature. She did that the first time she had doubts about clark, after the perfect relationship. Lana took 6 years of lies, heartbreak, pain and all the possible strange things. THAT was not lana true nature. She has been completely changed by both clark and lex before being capable of doing that. I ll spare u the rest cause from the little thing u said i can understand it would be a waste of time. U clearly didnt understand the show.
See, Clois KNOWS how to have a good time. With Clana, it was nothing but boredom toppled with Lana bitching about Clark keeping secrets from her and how they hardly ever have sex. Clois ftew (for the epic win)!!!

Tom was great, but if you think about it the relationship between Clark and Lana has become sick. Clark himself left Lana and always hid his secret from her, and now he still stalks her, demanding to decide who she can be with. Lex may not be a saint, but he was always there for her when Lana argued with Clark
