I love this scene! Clark destroying the solar towers was completely unexpected and it was a great ending to the episode. I only have a couple of questions. Now that the towers have been destroyed, and Alia killed by Zod, what new changes will come to the future and will it makes things better, or far worse?
I must say, season 9 has been one of the best seasons. Martian manhunter (from previous), aqua man, wonder twins, captain marvel, hawk man, flash, green arrow, speedy, green lantern, justice league of America, watch tower, dr. faith, the league of superheroes, brainiac 5, brainiac, doomsday, amanda wallet, and many more. I bet that we will meet either lex luther, but most hopefully darkseid as season finale.
that's a good ending. I was shocked clark got the guts to destroy the towers. Smallvillle has been airing for 10+ years now right? how long will it go? What do you think the final episode of smallville will be like and when do you think that day will come?
I THINK I FOUND THE SONG!!! I've been looking into it and it sounds like a modified version of 'New Divide' by Linkin Park, or at least the beginning sounds like it.

@youngrich032 I think Zod does have a hidden agenda. I think he wants to rule Earth and now that Zod has the same powers as Clark (except Zod can fly) he can give the other Kandorians their powers as well. This season is getting REAL good! Plus, I'm happy that there's going to be a tenth season! :-D
But above all, no one has ever wondered how many victims can cause the collapse of that gigantic tower? It is impossible that there were no people around ... Clark so attentive to human life has not thought about it?sorry for my bad english :(
I've never expected smallville to wear long dark trench coats & perch on gargolyes... no wonder batman isn't in it, because... clark kent IS batman LOL
My question is...If Clark is that far away, how much power would he need to put into his heat vision to make sure the heat wouldn't dissipate traveling the gap, what would that heat do to the air in the area just beyond where he is standing and how bright would it be in the general area? Is his heat vision equivalent to the heat that hits you in the face after opening a hot oven and just concentrated into a beam or is it plasma like our sun? This scene begs so many nerdy questions! Someone do a science analysis of this scene
Honestly bud that is a very good question and it's one I'm pretty sure the writers didn't think too hard about. In Smallville his heat vision is powerful enough to pierce human skin within seconds so I'd imagine the blast would need to be focused and likely burning at around 500 degrees farenheit or higher to cause the intensity of explosions we're seeing in this scene.

i wonder if scene cause controversy with the towers looking like 9/11 and clark/blur/superman being the one to burn them.i know it was to try to prevent the kandorains from getting there powers but other people thought that tower was to bring cleaner energy to the city and clark in season 10 felt a bit guilty doing that.
uhh much better cuz since Alia is Gone she cant kill Cloe and since the Tower is gone the Kandorans cant get there powers so the future has been change and an new future is being made
