@@Michael-rp5pv i thought the writing for Clark around this time was very questionable especially when you looked at how his character was written in earlier seasons, he always showed geniune remorse and always wished he could have done more but fast forward to this momen, he pretty much stopped caring which is not what Superman is all about. I wasn't a fan of the way Chloe would constantly demand Clark to do certain things and he never questioned anything, i think by season 9, he did slowly start to put his foot down with her

Which one are we talking about? Because Chloe lost everyone for a time here (I always wondered where her dad was after S3, though, the guy was never mentioned again). I always had my suspicions that she didn’t really love Jimmy and it was “first boyfriend syndrome”, but you could make this statement about Clark, Lois, or even Oliver or Davis and probably be right.

@@faster_xx i got that vibe. She cheated on him with Davis. Treated him like shit. Meanwhile he fucking adored her. He was so loving and sweet to her even when she constantly kept putting other men before him. Like what kind of man takes that shit and still comes back to you? yeah, the one thing that annoyed me in smallville was clark and the people in his life trying to convince him that he is all human, if clark accepted the reality that he wasn't human he could've acheived so much sooner and a lot more heartbreaking moments could've been avoided

The show was a lot better off without the bitter, narcissistic piece of shit that Chloe became. She brought the whole mood of the show down, had blood on her hands from the crimes she committed and had no business being friends with Clark. Instead she deserved to be apprehended by him and brought to justice to pay for her crimes. Even before she became a criminal she was a Mary Sue ever since they lightswitched her to suddenly be a hacker, parental figure to Clark and know-it-all in season 5 and screw those characters. Those are the lamest, fakest & most disgusting characters in fiction and I always root for their deaths, yet their moronic fanbase cheers them on. The last time Chloe was likable was season 4. After that it was all downhill. She certainly filled the Lana narcissism void that was left behind.

@@theone2678She disposed of the victims' bodies that Davis/Doomsday killed, stopped Clark from sending Davis to the Phantom Zone and killed using Brainiac's powers that she had when he was still dormant within her under the guise of "protecting Clark". Before that she became a disgusting Mary Sue know it all bitch who could do no wrong and had all the answers in the most fake bullshit way back in season 5. Mary Sues are the least credible character types in any fictional work. In season 9 she worked with Checkmate who was out to find out the Blur's secret and in season 10 with Rick Flag who blew up the Talon & almost killed Lois. She did some underhanded stuff with Lana's Isis foundation in season 8 as well after taking it over and also planted spy cameras all over the place, including Clark's farm as seen in season 9. Chloe went from being one of the most realistic characters who had flaws and could be loved for those flaws into one who was depicted as flawless and fake with abilities that she never had in the past just given to her out of nowhere. It would've been better to kill her off as a realistic & likeable character than let her live and sink to become what she did.

​​@@theone2678well for one thing she hid body parts in a dumpster treated 4:27 Jimmy like shit. And Jimmy still went back to her. Chloe should have died instead of Jimmy. Chloe became unbearable to watch in seasons 5 till the end of the series. And she murdered Sebastian Kane.

What she did was her own damn fault and she deserved to die for it, let alone stew in her juices. It's disgusting that an innocent like Jimmy had to die for her crimes. She literally had blood on her hands, disposing of bags of the dead bodies of Davis' victims outside the Talon. I have no remorse for her whatsoever.

@@knightman718 Oh, I agree, what Chloe did throughout Season 8 was utterly reprehensible and Jimmy deserved better. What I meant was that it seemed unusual for Clark, given his attachment to family and friends throughout the series, to abandon *anyone* like that. He was always the one who tried to forgive, and who tried to help people when they needed him. Whether or not they deserve it often didn’t even matter.

@@Melissa.Garrett Well Clark felt beyond betrayed at that moment. Chloe was complaining about losing everyone, yet she was responsible for much of it. She put Lois through great stress when she had been looking for her at the start of the episode and ever since she ran off with Davis without any concern for her. Lois even treated Clark like shit as if he owed her his life/time to look for someone who ran off without a concern for the worry others would have and the lengths and dangers they'd go through to find & get her back home safely. Then there's the aspect of Clark having lost everyone so many times and nobody caring about him. He lost his biological parents, home planet, his entire race/species of Kryptonians, his adoptive dad Jonathan, his mom had moved out, Pete left years ago, he couldn't even relate to Chloe anymore, Lex became his enemy and was gone at the time, and so on. He even lost Lois who he started getting close to at the time, yet all Chloe could think was "I needed you". A huge reason why Clark gravitated so much to Lois from the moment they had that phone call at the end of Stiletto onward is because she was willing to listen to him and not make everything about herself and suck all the proverbial air out of the room. At this point he was fed up with Chloe and what happened to Jimmy was the icing on that cake. So yes it was out of character but it was something he was probably repressing and had he been on red-k around that time, he would've let Chloe know how selfish she was. Not to mention he was growing and took a major step to not getting bogged down with the problems of a single person which is what a true hero like Superman is shown to do time & time again. And he had to take it or else he would never become the iconic hero he was meant to be.

Clark was right to walk away from Chloe. She got Jimmy killed and took no resposibility for her actions. She should have died instead of Jimmy. Just like Lana she way overstayed her welcome and she was just as boring as Lana. And they turned her into a computer geek. I never understood half the things Smallville did they never made any sense. And why wasn't Lois at Jimmy's funeral when the two of them worked together?

Have you forgotten what happened after he he changed time when lana died, he lost his dad. So if he would have went back in time to save jimmy someone else could've died to keep a balance. And that wouldnt be right clark would still feel guilty as he did after his dad died because he went back to save lana.
