Sorry it's been a while, here is a video someone has asked for on how to setup and install new front wiper blades on the Smart For Two Coupe. Cheeky little Cameos by Louis the Husky and Lola Rabbit.

Hi Gareth, a few years later, I know but Bosch A2944S are 451 specific. No need for adapters

I was a lowly poor family man when I did this. I have now recently purchased NEW Bosch wipers all round for my 453. Video to follow soon. Lol.

There seems to be a bit of confusion on the wiper blades length. Just bought a new pair from Smart Mercedes and instructions indicate that the long one goes on the driver side. Your video shows short one, which is in line with my old ones on the car.

Facing the car, the short one goes on the left side, the longer one on the right side. If you are like me, and in the US, the long one does go on the driver side. But he is in the UK so the short one goes on his driver side... It's a clearance issue, the short one has to be on the bottom/"left side" so that when the wiping action is happening, it can clear the top/"right side" wiper blade.

I bought some Genuine Smart Car wiper blades and each one has a peel off yellow sticker. Under the sticker looks like a sensor dot. I'm wondering, with off-brand wiper blades, do the sensor dots matter?

Smart wiper blades can be purchased only from Mercedes dealers not from regular stores like Walmart or Canadian Tyre, and they cost $60 for front two blades.

William Giesecke hi. Thanks for the question.. I have had an issue where mine did not work.. have you tried the fuse first? Is there power going to the motor? (Does it make any noises or sounds?)
