Hi guys...yes the time lapse of the complete build of the SMART HAYABUSA PROJECT. For merch and plans on other projects: 57design.ca/ OR Etsy: www.etsy.com/ca/shop/VinyB57d...
You are not a mechanic or a car engineer, you are the Leonardo da Vinci of mechanics. This video is very impressive... All your metal parts are unique objects, you are a pure creator and a passionate. Respect and congratulations.
Since the late 70’s I’ve been working on cars rebuilding engines etc. however even if I had all of the equipment shown in this video, I could never achieve what has been achieved here in this extraordinary build. It’s totally on another level. Hats off.
I was thinking along the same lines. I wouldn’t say I’d never achieve it tho. Gotta believe in something, outta the infinite possibilities that exists, mines well believe in yourself !😅
This hands down is one of the most amazing builds I've ever seen in my life! I am totally jealous that you guys have all these toys to make custom parts. It is freaking awesome fellas 👍👍👍
This makes a mockery of every other car build I have ever seen. These guys need their own show - this is on a completely different level. Seriously pro stuff. Wow!
Have you watched “binky” from Bad obsession motorsport” i am sure with this level of engineering geekery they would get on like a house on fire. Amazing work gang
The engineering work in that car was quite something. I thoroughly enjoyed watching that despite my ever increasing tool envy eating away at me. Thank you.
Thanks Karl! About your second comment, I should go at the track in 2 weeks...after I'm done with the air bagged trailer, have you seen that built serie?
Reason why manufacturers are paying off politicians/law makers ahemm I mean lobbying them to outlaw DIY and blocking legally what is otherwise a savings to consumers (mods/repairs/maintenance/etc)
you are one of those people who deserve to be remembered forever in the world of motors for your contribution to making a crazy idea a real madness, you are a fukxxing genius bro
This is the highest build quality I've seen on any project!! I'm completely stunned. This video needs to be sent to the TV production companies, and these guys need their own TV show !!
The engineering he has undertaken on this project is fantastic. I work on oil and gas projects and know the amount of engineering that goes into projects. This is phenomenal. Well done my friend well done
This build is insanity. You basically made the fuel pump, suspension and so many other parts 😳. It's not even close to being a smart car anymore. I love it. Wish more people would do this kind of video with their builds to show how much work actually goes into them..... Also loving the C.A.D. designing (cardboard aided design LoL)
I have to say, seeing this video really wants me to get into CNC and create parts for my mk1 rabbit. your skills, industrial insight and ideas is a breath of fresh air for the DIY. Thank you!
Most of my career I spent as a machinist, so it was really fun to watch this video. I especially enjoyed the modified digital calipers bolted to the lathe. Excellent idea. The car wasn’t bad either. Lol
I built a gocart at 12 out of a junk pile and put a Hodaka 100 on it and some mini bike tires on the back ,volkswagon steering box, lots of fun. Ever since ive wanted to build one to drive legally on the street . This is as clise as you can get to a motorcycle engine go cart. Im in the process of doing the same thing, thank you for a ton of ideas, excellent work ,looks like fun !
Im amazed by the amount of work, skills and knowledge you have put into this build. Extraordinary work, and admire every single part of it. Now, quick question… I don’t need to know the exact amount, but how much it will or might cost to do another build like this?
How much does it cost the builder or how much would he charge to build it for someone else. With real skill you can create a huge difference between the two
I dunno other than having all the flat parts cnc plasma cut wich you could source to a shop. ( hell there are 3 shops in my small town that do that for people) and some lathe work also can be farmed out . Alot of this is basic hand tool work you could do with cheap tools
@@tylercampbell3134 agree... All you need is knowledge to ask what you need and provide enough info to the shops. In any case the merit here relies on doing it all on his own. (Buying lathe, learning how to use it, buying plasma cnc, learning how to use it, buying welder, .... Etc) The whole process is beautiful here.
Ive found The biggest hurdle to people making things is attitude and drive. Ive seen many many people make amazing things with little to no tooling or knowledge. Hell look at people like Michel cthullu, hes an artist with cheap angle grinders and a drillpress.
So much expertise went into that car and it is now a unique collectable piece of art, tempered with an aggressive stance. Wow! I own a 450 pulse and love it but seeing yours can only wish I had the time and knowledge to do the same! Kudos to you.
I love watching actual engineers build custom parts and checking the fit, finish and range of movement in their parts using the proper tools!! Can watch people like you all day, great job and the car looks deadly too, bet it drives wicked!!!
Blimee! Thats an elaborate, expensive, ineffective snowplow!! But Seriously. Fantastic engineering. He's got some pretty high tec gear for a hobby garage, but you gotta know how to use it. Top Job.👍
I'm not very knowledgeable about car construction but I did see some very expensive equipment that was used cutting torches computer design. The electrical work alone was amazing.
this is truly what some people put on their title as a "build" but some people think that slapping bunch of aftermarket parts to your car you can call it a build hahah go home. this guy is truly a genius a master he actually bends and forms metal to make parts he needs in order to fully assemble his car this is what the word "build" is man bravo and i hope you channel grows 100× more so you can build more awesome and badass toys.
