Wow, you were super lucky to have a predrilled door backset to 60-70mm. Mine is backset to 127mm - EXTREMELY hard to purchase a 127mm double spring latch. Also, they cost a fortune. I'm going to bog the original hole and drill a new 50mm hole 70 mm from the edge. I hope it clears the steel door jam. I also have to remove my dead bolt, which will hit the top of the Ultraloq.

This is made for an exterior door yet it sticks out too far to close a screen door.

My I stall went well until the very end. The hex bolt couldn’t not pass through the handles in order to get tightened 😑 must be a machining error. Therefor I had to drill the hole a tad to get it through. Question tho, were the insides of your handles threaded?

There is no top centre screw. There is something called a security kit scew though. These were not explained in the instructions.

So you can turn off the autolock feature correct?. I saw another video about this same lock saying you can't?

So if the batteries die, the only way to unlock this is via manual key right (there doesn't seem to be an option to power it externally via USB power bank like how you can on the U-bolt...)? I'm guessing the cylinder/lock mechanism and keys are proprietary and cannot be changed or re-keyed too. This would definitely concern me and means I'd always need to keep a spare key hidden somewhere or with a neighbor, relative, friend, etc

The batteries (at least with the previous gen) give you like 3 months warning before they die, then you also have the backup key, then you could always enter your home from another door. So if all that isn't enough for you, maybe this isn't the product for you. Seems like you need help beyond just a door lock.

@@TechWinnerCC so honestly what is the advantage only that I don’t have to plug a bridge in?. Personally it is very lame for all they hype the put into it. I wont be updating the one I have.

Fair. I see this as more for someone who’s coming in to the smart lock world for the first time, not necessarily an upgrade for someone who has an already well-working smart lock.
