AWESOME! Excellent performance. FM sounding like a a CS-80 in intro and other parts. I subbed. Your videos demonstrate musicianship at its finest. MONTAGE and MODX are dream machines. I love my MODX.
These patches are full of life and interest. I'm old enough to remember when workstations were weak on synthesis and sound design. Not any more! Thanks for sharing this feature; I imagine it's a nice way to spark creativity when you're in patch-making mode.
I don’t recall RU-vid ever sounding so good! And looks like I wasn’t the only one noticing the panning. The sounds are so gorgeous that I forget to listen to your playing and keep trying to hear all the little details in the sounds themselves. I was really impressed with the stereo spread in the parts too. I think I heard three or four layers in some of those, spread across the stereo. I’d love to be able to listen to more on Tidal! Cheers, mate. Really lovely.
This is why I’ve just bought a Modx6+, now affordable. To add a digital color to my synths palette, and easily create fm sounds to my taste, usable in songs. But your sounds are so beautiful…
Endless ambient voyages to be had. That 2nd bass to brass sound sounds awsome. The Electric Phased piano sounded ultra lush and those breakdown effects with the creamy brass sounds. Its decided, I need a Montage. Love your music, channel and playing Matt.
Your demonstration here did inspire me to try it out. Used an FM Ep and the FM PWM pad together. It came up with a nice range of sounds. You inspired that.🎹🙋🏼♂️
Absolutely beautiful. The 2nd one reminds of a similar I have on my TG55 (AWM not FM) and very Depeche-Mode-like. I already watched a few videos about this great new feature and need a note to myself: resist, don't empty your PayPal account, you've got no room for a Montage, resist, resist.... :))
I love your playing. The horn sound at 7-56 sounds so minimoog like. I have the little brother, the MODX, just updated it to latest version. I love Lyle Mays too, since other people mentioned him. My favourite is "Close to home". And I listen a lot to "Too young to die" by Jamiroquai.
Hello, Matt! In your hands the most cold synths sounds right! :) 4:50 - IMO it's more like some "spectral synthesis". Sounds similar to picture -> sound algorythms.
Finally got a chance to update my modx to. 2.5 and I must say these new yammies are not synths they are a whole new life. I was experimenting with different bass sounds on the new Bass Gallery performance. The variations are infinite and they all sound badass. And all you need is your finger and a ear for a good sound. Great demonstration showing some of that depth. Thank-you.
Yamaha Montage, and Korg Kronos. 2 the best synths ever. Very natural sounding acoustic sounds, and truly bizarre sounding synth sounds. Montage and kronos are both really great synths. I have them both, and can't put them in order which one is better, they are both really great synths in their own way...❗️👍🎶
Dear Matt, You're reliably musically-crazy ... like Montage. For this feature, you need the super sounds you programmed. It reminds me: couldn’t I buy the Minimoog and Lyle Mays (in fact, Pat Metheny’s guitar synthesizer) sounds from you for my own Montage? (and we’re still looking forward to your own album with icy serenity!) Best wishes from Hungary
Matt, I have to say you have good taste about synthesizers, as I do! Yamaha Montage, oddly enough, sometimes I even dream about it :-) There is some humor.
Wow that is a massive keyboard. Do the smaller models have hammer action? Anyway, some very lush sounds on display here, as well as some wonky alien glitch sounds lol. Thanks for the demo.
9:01 a sound similar to miss you by trentmoller ... i have a korg m 3 - totally different keyboard - very expensive - kind of a disappointment - montage very lush inspiring sounds -
i know it sounds good - but if i had to choose between my DX7 mk 1 and the montage then hands down completely my dx7 mk1 sounds better - yeah its not as complex - but if they both cost the same price then i would drop the coin on the dx7 everytime - total classic - im on the fence with this montage - although it is a good modern synth - but you know what ... it will never make as many classic songs as the dx7 mk1 did - and it only cost me 200 squids
