It's really weird how they use the squad and actors from Star Fox 64 and the mission from Star Fox Assault.

You got to love the fact that they actually take recognition in the fact that the crew should see the fighting,and they actually do react to the things the characters do.

No, 64 Slippy's voice does not fit Assault Slippy's.

I just realized Falco having full health while Slippy has some damage makes sense as Slippy gets chased in this mission in Assault while Falco does not

It's good to see the full loop of the stage. It looks absolutely incredible.

In Smash 5, Fox and Falco's voices will just be the "yabbadayap" from the SNES game.

The voice-actor for Fox did a much better job in Star Fox 64. /:

i can't tell what happen in this level: Error #1 -The Great Fox didn't appear in the Orbital Gate level in Assault. Error #2 -Krystal,Wolf,Leon,Panther,Beltino and the some of Dog Solders did not appear in the communication icon channel. Error #3 -our voice is changed for unknown reason. Error #4 - Slippy's and Falco's Arwings have power up laser and is not possible in Assault.

Never forget that they got rid of this stage, but kept 75M.

Man, the VA's sound like they didn't age well. (Falco has the most decent voice.) I mean, KIU and FEA had amazing VAs, so how did they screw up with the Star Fox casts? I guess It'll grow on me like Roger Craig Smith did for Sonic. Hopefully, they'll improve in the future Star Fox U game.

Why did they use the 64 voices here? The Star Fox 64 voices were alright at the time, but they haven't aged well (it was a PSX/N64 era dub, so that's to be expected.) It's kind of baffling that they'd go back to the 64 ones now, after they had the Assault voice actors for so long, not to mention the 64 voices make no sense in the Assault stage and will cause inconsistencies when It's especially baffling that they'd change Slippy's back to his awful 64 girly voice, I mean Assault was the only time his voice was actually GOOD, why backtrack in quality now?!? And for that matter... Where the fuck is Krystal, this is the Assault stage, so it would make sense to have her here more than ever, Star Wolf was here too in Assault so where are they?!?

1 year to make this Amazing stage but hasn’t return in Ultimate

Fo the last time: Fox is voiced by Mike West, the original Fox voice actor from Star Fox 64. He also did Fox's voice in Star Fox 64 remake. The reason why they used him instead of Jim Walker (Fox's voice actor in Assault) is because he was in the last Star Fox game that Nintendo released. Also Falco is voiced by Mark Lund from the remake, not from the original Star Fox 64. Slippy kinda sounds like Lyssa Browne, who did he's voice in both Star Fox 64 and remake. I don't know Peppy's voice actor. He sounds like Jaz Adams from the remake.

I miss this stage in Ultimate

Falco sounds pretty cool, and Peppy's voice works (and is hilarious lol). But Slippy and Fox... oh geez. I think they're the same from Assault (at least I know Slippy is, not sure about the rest), but it's not even just that the voices are terrible and don't fit, but the acting is completely terrible. Fox especially is just flat, monotone, and completely soulless. So sad. At least Falco sounds awesome :)

So Andre, how do you activate these if Falco nor Fox are on the battlefield? The desc. claims via a "smash taunt" but I'm slightly unclear as to what that is... And apparently just anyone can do it?

I gotta say, I like Fox's voice in SSB4 a lot better when he's talking; it sounds worse when he just does voice grunts. Although, I don't think it's all that bad (except when he yells "Landmaster!" or "Fire!") I'm hoping that they keep the voices that they used in Lylat Cruise for the Star Fox conversations on there, like how they've kept the voices and conversations the same on the Corneria for years. Although, I really don't think these new voices are all that bad, especially on Falco and Peppy.

That was pretty great, they talked through the whole cycle of the stage which by the way, is one of the best looking stages in the whole Smash series. Don't get why people are so bothered by Fox and Falco's voices, the smash community takes things a little too seriously or something right down to the smallest detail..... then again I get that way about music selections and stages, like I'm still pissed at their being no new Mother and F-Zero stage and DK's rather lackluster music (their mostly different versions of Jungle Hijinx, where the heck is Fear factory!?) Are their any conversations for when Fox or Falco are fighting on the stage?

Whatever you may think of the voice acting (personally I don't think it's that bad), the dialogue itself really isn't too bad. Sounds like something you would hear in a starfox game, and helps to add atmosphere to the stage. And really, it could've just not been there at all, at least we've getting somehting.

This is a really good idea for a stage. Playing through a star fox mission is really good in both theory and execution. Also, what happens if fox or falco execute the smash taunt?

My God Nintendo!? Who the Hell was responsible for casting the Star Fox voices?! Why couldn't they just get the voice actors from Star Fox Assualt?! Falco sounds boring and relaxed (out of character), Peppy sounds like a prospector, Slippy sounds even more annoying than his Star Fox 64 voice, and Fox just sounds like he has a stuffy nose. I have a bad feeling this will be the voice cast for Star Fox Wii U...

I'm glad I found this. I had no idea what was going on in this stage... like why some of the "ships" would randomly blow up and whatnot. It's nice to hear the Star Fox team chatter to know what is actually happening.

They didn't add this stage in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! :( That Stage was the best! :(

The Orbital Gate development maybe was rushed and had they cut: No Easter Egg for: Krystal Wolf Leon Panther Beltino and the cornerians Dogs Solders pilot

Starfox Assault isn't even cannon anymore, and they spent an entire year on this thing, they could've developed like 2 entire characters in that time! And it'd be one thing if it at least came back for ultimate, but it didn't! And people suspect the reason is that Stage morph feature. Like, wat?! Who even uses stage morph anyway?

I always enjoyed the little conversations on Smash.

What the hell happened to these guys? They were pretty cool in Starfox 64, but when they returned it's like...they forgot what made the characters so great! Fox's VA is being WAAAY over the top, Peppy's VA really pumped in that Texan blood, Slippy's shit as always, and Falco's VA just doesn't care at all. No enthusiasm whatsoever.

It's nice to hear Fox and Slippy's original voices from both Lylat Wars and Starfox 64 3D. Oh and I like Falco's voice from Starfox 3DS remake in SSB4 too. :D

This is SO COOL! Nintendo didn't have to do this at all, but its so cool and sweet of them for putting even the little's and randomness touches.
