Yeah, Old Bay! Simple enough. That was fast. 😂 I'm so glad you taste-tested them. So many people don't do that on their cooking channels. 👍 Thank you so much! ❤️👍👏
Like all the Schick Happens swag CJ. Had no idea you were going to soak them in a bucket, but that's a good idea. Can't go wrong with old bay. I bet they were delicious. Great video.
Thanks for sharing! We will give this a try soon! We are camping this weekend and caught a big 8lb drum on a jug line, I've already cut the back straps out and I'm gonna boil them soon.
Wow! That smoked fish looked amazing, I absolutely love smoked fish, we don’t really have a place to fish that we would trust lol. Great video! Thanks for sharing. Be blessed my friend
Awesome video! I need to go and get a smoker soon. I have all kinds of stuff to smoke, whole chickens, brisket etc. Love your content buddy keep up the good work!🍻
We love some Old Bay Seasoning around here ♥️🐟♥️ I wish they had smellivision! 👃 Lol!! Looks delicious!!! Thanks for sharing CJ. Y’all have a great week and stay safe!!!
Ok I'm going to be honest I was seriously concerned when the fish went in the fridge and a beer didn't come out. You pulled it out in the end tho. Close call. 🍻🤣Thanks man.
I can see the question rolling in, is that a food grade bucket? LOL I was waiting for the Schickster to come walking in and wanting a bite.😂 I'm going to try smoking some as soon as I get a chance to catch some. Thanks for sharing. Your friend Bryan.
@@schickhappens299 To me it's all good grade. LOL. If what I use is anything like my school work when I was in school. It is a D or F, but still food grade 😂😂😂 Sometimes people worry about crap like that. I try to throw in a disclaimer if I feel the need. LOL catch you on the next one. Stay safe and be sure to share with Lori.
Man that looked good, I’ll bet the meat just falls off the bone on those babies. Gonna get me a smoker this year and getting more convinced that an electric “set it and forget it” is the way to go. Good stuff CJ , glad to see more of Lori in your videos.
Ok CJ, so I busted on you that I didn’t see a video on the cats you and Lori caught. My mind must be failing me cuz I went back to look and not only had I watched and commented, when I watched it again I remembered you using molasses and thinking it was very thin looking and I also remembered you calling the drum recipe you had a “Poor Man’s Shrimp” I have one of those for yellow perch I’ve been wanting to do. Ok Ball busting comment rescinded.
Awesome CJ《☆》If you Google Smoking & Catfishing some crazy stuff pops up😷We need some jalapeno cheeze grits & hushpuppies now :*: Greetings from🌐Florida🤳my friend🤓🗣🔊☮✌👍🏾
I bet that is some kind of good! I love catfish. Delicious. I see You have yourself a good looking meat cleaver hanging on your wall ! That fish looks awesome!
Mmmmm... My mouth is watering! I've been looking forward to this video and it did not disappoint! I like how you differentiated catfish from bullhead at the end, BTW...🤣
THAT is a complicated question... With everything going on, the wife and kids have been staying with family out of state for the last 5+ weeks, it's honestly killing me. On one hand, this would seem like the perfect time to just buy one and get it done. However, living in the cramped suburbs, we definitely don't have an abundance of space (I seriously have garage and property envy when watching your videos), so this would not be something I could just buy and put out of view. To answer your question... No. Being the good husband that I am, I will wait for her eventual return. But being the savy guy that I am, I will emphasize how hard it was to be away from her and that my buying a smoker will help ease my pain and help me remember how hard it was for us to be separated. Sound like a good strategy?
BTW, check out my most recent video and let me know if you approve of a certain editing technique... What I learned is that you really have to have it dialed in to pull it off right. I think mine was just barely OK, was my first time experimenting with it, and learned a lot for the next time the Schickster, I mean Angler Randy, shows up in one of my videos, LOL.
Man I thought I’d cooked catfish every way possible but have never smoked em....looked awesome!! Was that a note sticking out yer back pocket or a piece of toilet paper???? Hahaha. Have a great weekend!
When I hear the term smoking some catfish I automatically go to shooting them. LOL Good video. Will have to try this when I get a smoker. BTW I am glad you were able to fit the bucket in the fridge without moving beer!!! 😂
@@schickhappens299 We have a river about 250 feet from the house. There is quite a lot of perch, pike and salmon in it, but I do not like winter fishing, even if the ice is over 3 feet. In the summer we usually fish, both from the boat and from land.
