I remember when Smosh made a video on April Fools and it was literally nothing but Ian and Anthony just walking around outside for like a hour. That was more of a Smosh movie than the actual smosh movie.
Man, I remember when Smosh seemed to have the coolest content back in the early 2010's. While a lot of their videos probably aren't as good as I remember them, I still fnd their content very nostalgic.

I deadass jumped out of my seat and did the snoopy happy dance hearing Dumbsville not only use hotline miami music at 3 different occurences, but also hearing him acknowledge the masterpiece which that game is.
realisticly smosh the movie was never going to be not bad since even with creative control their style of short skits would work terriblely for a film.
Fun Fact, or rather Sad Fact: There is an entire show on the Shut Up Cartoons channel called “Super Smosh”, that has the exact same animation and designs as the intro of this movie, which apparently, Ian and Anthony had barely any involvement with! They just stared in it, that’s all!
There were also similar looking animations on the main channel, such as "CHRISTMAS APOCALYPSE", all done by Australian animator Chris Bennet, who now works on the hit kids show Bluey.
Gotta love how the plot is about stopping people from seeing a video that’s basically just of Anthony falling over, when in real life Smosh uploaded themselves in way more humiliating situations for years. Also 2008-2014 Smosh is still funny and my ADHD ass will die on this hill!

I wanted to see this movie ever since I was a kid, and now as a 17 year old, I was able to watch it free on RU-vid and to put it simply, it wasn’t worth the wait.
Well, to be fair, she probably felt more comfortable starring in a RU-vid video than a feature length movie. Like, I remember when Smosh did a live show and Ian's mom was in the crowd, but not on stage. So it's quite possible she couldn't handle starring in something bigger than what she'd usually star in.

I was betrayed. Smosh didn't say thier titular catchphrase "it's smoshin time" and didn't smosh all over the place. Truly one of the least movies of all time.
My favourite part of the movie was when they uttered their iconic catchphrase “it’s smoshin’ time” and then smoshed all over the bad guys. Truly one of the movies of all time. 10/10 would smosh again
Old smosh holds up surprisingly well. Sure some jokes are cringy and the amount of Pokemon references are nauseating but they made some bangers. The Death Note and Food Battle videos slap. Modern Smosh can go to hell and Ghetto Smosh is beautiful
I like how you include an actual Story while reviewing movies. Like that one time you got kidnapped by Kanye and had to be saved by Drake. Now that was story-telling! yeah I saw this movie on Nick when it came out.. Fred was actually being shown on another channel... Yeah I switched to Fred.
I remember watching this movie years back with a friend. I had no idea who Smosh was at the time but I still at least at the time thought it was entertaining in a way.
Erm, what exactly do you mean? Because as far as I know, Smosh is still remembered by a fair amount of people. Heck, it's videos even get views from the new generation. Granted it's probably more the new videos rather than the old ones, but I think my point still stands when I say Smosh isn't THAT forgotten.
something i noticed about this video is how the video is exactly 20 minutes and 12 seconds long (supposed to be a reference to the year 2012) and that dumbsville covers smosh which peak was around 2012 and he makes multiple references to the game hotline miami which came out and released in october 2012 and dumbsvilles youtube channel was also made in the year 2012
Markiplier's probably the best character in the movie. Knowing him, he would never pass down the opportunity to play as a gorilla with a chainsaw chasing down Anthony and Ian.
For a future review might I suggest Kaiju Mono. It’s a Japanese monster movie spoof staring professional wrestler Kota Ibushi. In the movie a Kaiji called Mono is attacking the city of Tokyo, so a scientist injects his assistant with drugs to make him a giant so he can fight Mono.
