I am 28, and found your channel just after getting married at 26. We are currently renovating our house and had I not been watching your channel I would have waited until my house was complete, I had landscaping, had bought a new car before trying for a baby. I am so blessed that I am now 3 months pregnant and although all my family members were surprised that we chose to get pregnant without all the financial 'stability' that our culture suggests we need I am so thankful for listening to you. You speak the truth of the bible and it is that biblical conviction which led us to try for a baby. I was ignoring every urge in my body to have a family, I hate the idea of a career I have always wanted a family. Thank you for continuing to speak the truth, you have helped to lead me down a new path of obedience. Praying for you and your miracle

I got married when I was 19. We had our first of 5 children when I was 20. I was totally immature, I didn’t have a backup career in case if I was widowed young. I have been a stay at home mom/homeschooler and we have had to live a very “frugal” lifestyle, and our families thought we are CRAZY! Always have! But....I have a faithful hardworking husband who knows the blessing of hard work, values my work at home, and together we have raised a beautiful family with the Lord’s provision and guidance. We stepped out in faith, and He has blessed. He has always provided! Now our family who thought we were crazy, still think so. 😂, but they love our children (and grand baby). They have so much respect for my husband, and it’s our prayer that our life will point others to Christ!! It’s been hard, but I urge my daughters to marry young. My husband has taken our boys to work with him, to teach them carpentry and hard work, so they will be able to provide for a family. Getting married young/having children forces people to serve others, Learning that it’s not all about “YOU “. I pray this gets shared a lot! That people will receive this Truth open handed! May the Lord bless this ministry, and I ask God to grow your family. ❤️Blessings

I got married at 19 years old, after always wanting to be married! 🙂💞 It was the best decision I have ever made, by Gods grace. Fifteen years later we have six children and love each other more than before. We have found that when you submit your entire lives to God and love Him first, His grace, peace, joy and direction always follows!! Thank you for speaking the truth!

First of all, at 74 I listen and appreciate your channel. Our culture really needs passionate young marriages like you who swim against “main stream culture.” Keep it up Scott and Kelli! For me I had 2 children at 18 and 20 and then again at 32 and 35. I’m so blessed to have 4 daughters. I can compare and contrast having children at a very young and again at old”er” age. I gave youth and energy to 2 and stability and wisdom to 2 children. Children are a blessing, period. We all have individual stories but through it all, God can bless even at 99 when Sarah birthed a child. Lol. I do believe in your Godly wisdom. One of my daughter’s did as you did. Got married at 18 and wanted children but children didn’t come until after age 34 and 39. They desired children but God’s timing was later. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.”

I appreciate the two of you! It's so good to hear the truth! I have 3 daughters that are almost 17, 15, and 14. They are my constant companions. They learn by working beside me. My oldest daughter is ready! She gardens cooks, cans, cleans, sews, and crochets like a pro. She says she wants 8 children. 5 she gives birth to like me and 3 adopted to give love to those without. I praise Jesus everyday for my children. I will continue to pray for both of you. That you speak the truth and that God blesses with you with many littles.

. My daughter was 15 when an 18 year old man came and said he wanted to court her. I agreed with stipulations but her father (not my husband) said no. My daughter ended up going off the rails as soon as she graduated from high school at 17. A child out of wedlock, drug use, multiple marriages, and now she is in same gender relationships. I am sure her father wishes now he would have agreed to let the nice Christian young man court my daughter! My wonderful husband is a Christian now, and our children did not grow up being raised in a Christian home. All of my children struggle with different issues because we were not godly parents. We believed in Jesus but showed no fruit of it while they were growing up. We have lots of regrets. We would do it all differently now if we could. We both agree that marriage as soon as possible is the best thing and have many babies. God's way truly is the best way. Parents need to raise their sons to provide for a wife and children, and for daughters to become wives and mothers nut it starts as early as possible. Put away worldly entertainments and spend that time with the Lord, with your spouse and with your children. God's ways are perfect!!

Your children struggled because you're abusive and you don't understand what pedophilia is. Your children struggled because you take the word of a book written 2,000 years ago over basic facts, and even when you didn't believe in the Bible your systems of deciding what information were correct were clearly just as corrupt. Your children struggled because you were a bad mother who abused them. It's not because you weren't Godly enough.

@@jennifera4872 there isn't some magical change at midnight on your 18th birthday that makes you ready to marry absolutely anyone. In fact in 18 year old is very much still a minor by every psychological standard there is. Their brain is not fully developed and neither is their body, it's still dangerous for them to get pregnant and give birth, and most 18-year-olds do not have anything close to financial stability or know for sure what they want for their future. The fact that you think it's a good idea to raise a child who doesn't even know what marriage is yet with the idea that as soon as they can possibly consent they should go get married is 100% forcing someone too young into marriage.

People need to focus on finding someone who has the character and values you have yourself. I didn’t find that until 29 and I’m so grateful I stuck to my values and not sacrificing. Been married almost 30 years. So, marrying young is great given you have a great opportunity…..otherwise be patient. I had 4 healthy children in 5 years. Our obedience will bring God’s blessings. Look at the scriptures and you find many different circumstances and how God worked it out for each couple. I DON’T encourage marrying young unless both parties are mature. Once a person has repented, God has forgiven and we also have to forgive. Lastly, education is essential for both husband and wife. Period. Lived through job lay off yet? Yep, both need a skill set, if only for emergencies.

I LOVE Scott's shirt. I was born in Texas and that just screams Texan to me. Mrs. Maple Hill is going to be disappointed the day I find that shirt in a store and bring it home. This was such a great video! We have 2 very young girls and this video sparked great conversation for how we want to raise them. We are also in our mid 30's and waited until the end/beyond our prime to have children. Society certainly played a role in that. We were eventually blessed with children and you two will as well. You have such a wonderful attitude and your faith earns so much respect. Looking forward to your next video!

What a great and important mission you are on, Scott and Kelli! I applaud your message!. Going "against society," and contrary to how my husband and I were raised, we fully supported our daughter's desire to marry early (It IS CONGRUENT WITH BIBLE). My son married 1.5 years after high-school graduation. Our daughter married 1 year after high-school graduation. My son in law and daughter both work, go to university full time, and are VERY involved and committed to their church and ministries for Jesus.We have no regrets, only joy and gratitude (about our children's early marriages) My daughter loved her husband as far back as 6th grade (6 years prior to wedding)... My son was in love over a year before they married. None of us are perfect but how blessed to be in love and all committed to God's WAY❤

You two are amazing!! I will say in my mid-20s I stayed with a family who thought exactly like you!! I heard things that I had never considered before such as it’s ok to get married before you finish college, you don’t need to go to college and get a degree to learn- the library is full of books and knowledge!and it was so strange to me and here I was a Christian who graduated from a very conservative Christian university. I wish I had known these things when I was younger but for sure I will be teaching these things to my children and especially to my daughter!!

I just had a thought: choosing a man who is not the top 20% of MOST PURSUED.... can be an exercise of worship and humility BECAUSE God made every man, He loves every man, He sees the potential and inner man like only God can. To look down your nose at the men below the top 20% is prideful, which God does not like. How much better to have lenses of grace, and humility!!! My husband of 30 years, was not greatly sought, but he has been faithful to our family and he is so very precious to me, these empty nest years. I thank God for him.

I really have no desire to go, I just want to get married as soon as possible. But, there are no options for guys where i live with my family. Have to disagree with Scott's statement that as long as you are saved, you don't need to live in God's ways and you can still go to heaven. Remember the Scripture in Revelation 2:10 that says "Be Thou Faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life". As a consecrated person in this life doing God's will, you cannot take your sacrifice off the alter until God says "Well done thou good and Faithful servant enter thou into the joys of thy Lord".

As a lover of the Victorian era one of my favorite things was their teaching all young ladies home skills especially all forms of needle work. They invented Crazy Quilts to show off all the many learned embroidered stitches and their mom would drape it over the sitting couch at the front door so all gentlemen entering would see the skills of the available young woman. Men then really were looking for fine women who had skills to run the home. Off subject “I got the book Flour Lab” yesterday and just love it!! Not just bread but pasta making which is a passion of mine. It was a God thing for you to mention it. Do you have a pasta maker? I need to get a link to a channel I think you may like. My heart aches for those wanting children and being disappointed month after month. This culture has been predicted (I believe), and that gives me comfort. The 7 headed beast of Daniel and Revelation could be the soul lusting for money and career, and the 7 heads represent the work week. The beast also had ten horns. Pregnancy is 10 28 day months - or 280 days. It says a little horn came up as wellspeaking great words. Could this be birth control? Or the first three horns torn out by the roots be abortion? Take comfort. God knows all we are going through. Heaven is our true home, and soon this painful world will be no more.

Why not tell men to become awesome, ignore women for a decade, and when SMV is higher, then you go for a woman? Edit: You did talk about younger women with older men. I believe that is the future for us, and also the norm.

Scott & Kelly, I want to start out by saying that I listen to most of your vlogs and I enjoy them. I think it's so wonderful that there are Godly young couples trying to guide other young people. I was listening to your vlog when my husband came into the room. He asked, who are these people? I explained who you are and what you do. He said, I'm shocked that they use the word "gosh" so freely. I have to admit, I always cringe when you guys use it because all these slang words like gosh, golly, gee, jeepers, etc all come from the names of our precious Saviour. In our home, we are trying to just use proper English, no slang. It is very difficult at first but it gets easier. Praise God for all the workers in His field.

Hi Missy, I watched this whole video to try and find what part you are commenting from and I'm not finding it. But in other videos where we do talk about beauty and virtue, we encourage women to max out their natural beauty (eating well, taking care of themselves, wearing nice clothes). This is a very practical way of honoring your husband or future husband, and honoring God in stewarding the temple He gave us. I just did a video on my Home with Kelli channel where I talk about my journey with wearing dresses, and a lot of the questions you asked I specifically talked about there.

Girls are born with their value, it maxes out in their late teens and then drops after that. Falls right off the cliff in their latter 20's. Boys are born at zero and gain value as they earn it and it generally maxes out in their early 40's. Women, the longer you wait the less your options will be. If you squander your maximum value you can never get any of it back and you'll have to settle for whatever you can get. Maybe you'll get lucky, but almost certainly won't. College doesn't matter at all, your job doesn't matter at all. If anything, they make you a less attractive candidate. Your earnest faith in God, your femininity and your youth and physically fitness are everything. Anything outside of that is wholly meaningless at best. Raise your boys to be able to be men early in life and support a wife. Raise your girls to be skilled homemakers and submissive dutifully helpmeets. That's it, that's all there eis to it and there are no exceptions..
@ladycymbeline
@ladycymbeline Год назад
There are a lot of factors at play, especially in these times, for why a woman may be over their late 20s and still unmarried. I'd like to say that pursuing a career and college education is something that someone else can never take away from you. There are a lot of uncertainties in life, there is loss and marriages do fail even with the best of intentions. Going to college and pursuing meaningful work serves society and children. Women in career roles should know that the inspiration of their lives is enough too. These things do matter because they are part of a woman's journey and show the unfolding fruits of her labor. She is blessed by God to work with her talents just as much as the young mother and homemaker is. Equally loved and valued. If anyone else reads my response, please consider that your time at college can be a deepening time of friendships, faith, intellect, and knowing yourself and God's prompting in you heart 100% before making a lifelong commitment to someone. It's also a time to date and meet new people and flourish in social circles. If you do college smartly on a dime and are hard-working, intentional, sincere as you grow into new life roles, let yourself be surprised by God's goodness like Ruth was in the fields. And if you are still waiting on God and His masterful timing, may He comfort you and may we lift each other up for the hope of answered prayers.

@tdb19872
@tdb19872 Год назад
@@moriahw3947 Doesn't say they have no value silly woman. Women rapidly lose their marriage market value after their early 20's. This is a hard fact of life. Their attractiveness rapidly degrades, they become more set in their ways and less moldable to their husbands as they must be. Men are attracted to youth, femininity, beauty, and quiet and gental submissive demeanor. The older you get, the less quality men are interested. Virtually zero quality men are marrying women 30 and older unless their wife died or left. Them's da facts lady, don't get mad at reality, take it up with the creator of the universe who made us this way and currfnt liberal ideology for tricking you.

@@moriahw3947 It's not biblical. It's this channel's and the previous commenter's cultural opinion, also negating what God says about our innate value irrespective of gender, marital status, and whether we have procreated or not. He says we are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. Not only wonderful until the age of 29 then "downhill" from there if you are a woman... In actuality the Proverbs 31 woman is described as wise and virtuous, someone who has earned reward - this all suggests a passage of time and not simply abject youth. In fact, "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Proverbs 31:30. It's also said in the Bible that Abraham's wife Sarah was barren until old age - did God turn away Sarah because her value was "gone"? I was really rather perplexed why the original comment was liked by the channel creator (boys are born at zero value? college doesn't matter at all? might you explain?...), I hope they come to understand there are many women who struggle with infertility even earlier than these arbitrary age groups outlined by them, does this make them outside the scope of value? What if God calls them and others to be motherly in a different way or through adoption, teaching, or catechism? Their value is not declining nor are they the lesser choice because of their circumstances. Their value is solely as a loved and obedient daughter of the Most High. This thorn in their side is part of their faithful walk and not one that can be arbitrarily pigeon-holed by someone else. If they have sons they are infinitely loved, not zeros. If they go to school to develop their heart and intellect and meet new people, that MATTERS too. That is valuable. Women can study subjects that make them well-rounded, good teachers, mentors, wise accountants, etc. That LEARNED knowledge is valuable! I mostly wish they would explain what they mean by "value." If someone comes from a random part of the internet and clicks on this video and sees a comment like that, I don't blame them for walking way and even judging Christian women for comments like these. If Ashlee is solely meaning there is more value in fertile years for as woman, and if a woman is born with that ability and desire, then fine. I would say biologically you have favor on your side... but please be clear. This could be worded SO much better. I personally found it needlessly callous ...
