Lube Guard Power Steering Fluid on Amazon: amzn.to/49ds4HD
This formula is engineered with a proprietary additive package developed by ILI that includes 2 patented technologies: Synergol® TMS and LXE®. Together these technologies provide the most advanced anti-wear protection available. Synergol® TMS is the first non-active, phosphorous-free surface molecule composed solely of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. It contains no other toxic, corrosive, metallic or polluting elements. As an extended life anti-wear material, it extends far beyond normal power steering fluid in safeguarding system components.
LXE® (Liquid Wax Ester) has a molecular structure that allows unsurpassed heat transfer making it the most heat stable power steering product sold. The combination of these two technologies in a synthetic power steering base prolongs the life of the power steering unit.
LUBEGARD® Synthetic Power Steering Fluid is engineered to outperform competitive power steering fluids in three important ways:
Superior anti-wear formula significantly reduces friction, provides more potent rust and corrosion protection, and extends the life of the power steering unit (See figure 1)
Effective in a wider range of temperatures providing excellent cold and high temperature performance
Protects seals and hoses reducing the risk of power steering leaks and prolonging the life of the parts
*COMPLETE Synthetic Power Steering Fluid for Honda & Acura, P/N 24242, recommended for Honda and Acura vehicles.
Eliminates power steering noises and whines
Eliminates rack and pinion stiffness
Cleans and frees sticky turbines and pumps
Inhibits fluid foaming and oxidation

I watch both channels. I've been watching Scotty Kilmer since I was a kid on TV. He had a weekly Auto Repair show on Ch. 11 KHOU back in the day. I'm 54, professional Auto Technician since 1991. Graduated UTI, worked several dealerships, then opened my own shop. I absorb information from different minds and keep the good.

2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with 113k miles. I bought the truck used with 110k miles. I don't think the power steering fluid was ever replaced. I removed 12 ounces (red fluid) with a hand vacuum pump from the reservoir. I bought Lubegard Complete Synthetic Power Steering Fluid from O'reilly Auto Parts for $18. I think the power steering system holds around 32 ounces, but only replaced 12 ounces. The power steering was not making any noise before or after, but made a significant improvement on feel. Highly recommended.

If it doesn’t I rebuild my pumps myself. $10-15 for a reseal kit vs a refurbished one. Plus my rebuilds have last longer than the refurbished ones I’ve bought in the past.

These days people don't have the money or have to wait to spend money on a new part,so they use a product just to see if they can wait,I am guilty, I like to see if a product works or not, good video.

Probably need to replace the pump, but I did a complete flush on my Honda’s using LubeGard 24242. Pump out by turning steering lock to lock with return line dropped in a bucket. Keep topping off reservoir with fresh fluid until all new. I’ll never go back to genuine Honda PS fluid.

Also have to drive it for 100 miles to let it lube up the system.

*Agreed. So much so I blocked the old fart from my Recommend column years ago. His personal problems are self-inflicted.*

Oh, I guess that’s why Scotty has over 6 million followers, and you don’t. 🙄

*His audience is mainly clueless Rubes. His personal whines dominate his narrative adding nothing, no information of value. Lemmings also have lots of followers. You one of those?*
